I’d love to see a feature that allows users to receive personalized notifications for specific drama pages.

Recently, I visited the page of an older drama and noticed a comment from two months ago asking a simple question — one that could have easily been answered by someone who had seen the show. Unfortunately, it had no replies, likely because people rarely revisit pages for older dramas unless they’re currently watching or reviewing them.

To help keep these pages more active and informative, it would be great if we could “follow” a drama and choose to receive notifications about specific types of updates. For example:

  • New comments

  • New reviews

  • Cast or synopsis updates

  • Airing status changes

This could be implemented as a "Follow" button on each drama’s page, with a dropdown menu allowing users to select the types of notifications they’d like to receive (via checkboxes or toggles).

This feature would encourage more engagement on drama pages — especially for older or lesser-known titles — and ensure that questions and contributions don’t go unnoticed.

If you're following a newly released drama, you might get overwhelmed with constant notifications.  Especially comments notifications.

It can be simplified with a single notification saying "There are new comments on XXX drama page.

Two thoughts -

This would be brilliant for many niche titles, like helping us know when something's come off the film festival circuit and is available for streaming, or if someone needs helps finding the subbed version on Thai PBS, or ....

And OMG the arguments and drama on some of the mainstream pages will NEVER stop.

This feature can be implemented like a thread subscription option, where users can subscribe or unsubscribe whenever they want.

Personally, I don’t find this idea very useful, as following every single activity related to a drama can be annoying for an individual.

However, if someone wants notifications about their friends’ activity on the dramas they’re interested in, I’ve already suggested a solution for that. Please check point number 4 under the title "How It Works" in my suggestion.
