Remove "on going" reviews category

That's true, but it's pretty easy to do a research if the so called "Reviewer" actually deserve the title. Likes only show that how many people read the first couple of reviews, and they have the same opinion. It's not reliable at all.

I think if there are criteria, like how long and detailed the review is, and a person has more than 10 reviews for example, they can get an official title. This way, trolls can't affect the average rating of the reviews.

but even that can be problematic, because not all good reviews are long and detailed. Personally I like to read the short and to the point ones the most, even if I prefer writing longer ones. I think whatever the criteria will be, it has to take into consideration more than one thing.

Also... 10 reviews is for sure way too low of a number. It should not be a number that is easy to achieve in an hour in one sitting, coz then the whole criteria is easy to pass and becomes useless. 

Sure, but just like anything on MDL, this can be reviewed by Admins as well. I mean, we can't upload any poster, only if the Mods accept it, so the same can be done for the reviews as well. Of course, everything has a loophole, but we can report anything, even reviews if it's not an actual review, so this can be done properly. It just takes time and effort from everyone.

I do understand that it's quite impossible to check each reviews (I have seen 1 drama got 300+ reviews in one day).

I will like to make some suggestions:
1. the user must be a verified user to leave a review

2. there should be a time limit after creating an account before the user can leave a review (I have seen account created and left 5+ reviews the same day the account was created, of course that account will review and rate 1 drama (10) and the others will get a bad review and rating)

3. Give users the option to report these accounts. right now we can only report  a review or a comment of the user. but many times the review or comment doesn't infringe MDL rules so its absurd to report the review or comment.

3. There should be only 1 rating system. The 1 on the review and the watchlist rating should be the same.

Honestly... by now ongoing reviews for airing dramas are not even the biggest issues. Reviews for dramas that did not start airing, or do not even have set date to air yet are literally a full on clownery.

• Ongoing reviews will expire after 30 days, becoming hidden, and a notification will be sent to update them.
• At least one episode must be watched to write a review.
• Review overall scores will sync with the title's rating score. 
• Overall rating will be optional.
• Category ratings will also be optional.
• A history of edits will be available when you change the rating or the content.

@Ji-N : regarding the ongoing reviews next major updates : 

- will the helpful/unhelpful button will be blocked until after something has aired  ? Because it might be one incentive of people writing early reviews, not very qualitative on airing show, just to get "likes" early I guess ?

- will the next major updates fix the issue of people marking a show as "completed" when it is still ongoing ? (and writing a review about it saying it is completed or even if they do not mark it as completed but ongoing, that they mark it with more episodes than the number released in reality) ?

I do have a question: when people write reviews, is it important to just write the same type of review as everyone else is writing short and sweet I enjoyed it great drama. Everyone was perfect that's it but what about other portions of the drama? I just find it interesting that all unbiased reviews get downvoted until they are not noticed because all the tens are hopping around and then we get messages from future viewers that want an unbiased opinion both negative and positive and they can't find it. Personally, I don't downvote any review unless they attack the actors. I think down voting should be monitored closer by moderators or admin or whomever is in charge. I think that reviews should be mixed so you have the people who really loved the show and the people who didn't really love the show and the people who really hated the show that way incoming viewers could judge for themselves what they want to see instead of going through 14-15 pages of reviews basically saying the same thing until they come up to a review that shows exactly what they were feeling and wondering why it's so far back. I have more or less stopped writing reviews because of my health, but I did write one recently and it got downvoted so much even though it got 100 whatever things that it's like on page 15 now.

And I wonder why that is? Why can't people have differing opinions on a show and others feel the need to make them feel less than? I believe that all opinions count whether you love the show, you think it's OK, you see issues with it, or you just hate it so much and you drop it. People should be able to express what they feel without others resorting to that type of behavior. Maybe I'm too old and I still think old school that things should be unbiased and honest. I just think that it is incredibly unfair that unbiased opinions get shoved to the back just to show off all the glory and how much many people like a certain show. I don't know if the admin will fix this eventually, but I do think reviews need to be mixed so incoming viewers can choose whether to watch or not to watch or have a conversation with whomever review they read.
