Hello, following a recent news article I discovered that the animated movie "KPop Demon Hunters" has been added to MDL by an administrator of the website, Skye-N-Rain, despite it not meeting the criteria for a new title.
I remind you of the criteria here:
"You can only add dramas, shows, and movies from the countries listed below
South Korea
Japan
China
Taiwan
Hong Kong
Thailand
Philippines
You may add co-productions to the database as long as one of them is from the 7 countries on kisskh. They must also contain at least 1 Asian Actor and the languages must not be fully English."
(You can found them here ==> https://kisskh.at/discussions/support/17285-guidelines-editing-and-submitting-new-dramas-movies-and-actors)
"KPop Demon Hunters" isn't a production from the seven countries listed. It's neither a co-production as it is 100% from the USA. Some voice actors are Koreans but the movie is fully in English, as I don't think the few Korean lyrics of the songs count for that.
Disclaimer, I love the movie, so I'm not reporting this problem because I don't like it. However, I have been the "victim" of many decisions of the staff regarding edits that I did considered unfair because not following the guidelines or bending them however some staff wanted, so I am honest, I do hold some grudge regarding the managing of the edits by some staff and the way guidelines are followed or not by some however they please. Seeing an administrator not following them neither is the straw that broke the camel's back.
I have already write it several times, the edits system needs a big update and improvement, but that's another story.
As many users have been commenting about the problem of adding "KPop Demon Hunters" in its comment section, I hope we will receive an explanation from the management.
