This was an S+ (expensive, 400 million rmb) drama that got stopped in its tracks because of the scandal that ended with jailing of actor and singer Kris Wu. It was reshot end of 2023, although not as early as the two weeks set aside for the Chén Zhéyuǎn part in September envisioned. Another controversy hit the costumes and accessories, deemed too close to Japanese, when foreign costumes are not allowed anymore in such costume "historical" dramas. The drama in the drama continued when Lín Gēngxīn 林更新 who initially had agreed to take on the part formerly done by Kris Wu, bowed out. He was finally replaced by Péng Guānyīng in Nov2023 (koalasplayground 2023.08.28, 2023.11.21 , 2024.01.13 for full story). The news were confirmed by several posts of January 2024 from Yang Zi (who had finished her reshot parts), Xuan Yan and LiuYihang. The white on yellow for the font is hard to read. Thanks for the comprehensive update. I was trying to remember which actor messed it up. ♥
I typed with BLACK on yellow, so it must be a problem with your equipment setting ; perhaps you use black theme instead of white ... I always use white theme myself, don't find dark theme easier for my eyes, as some think it is. It all depends on neural setup in the brain probably, and I'm suited for ordinary white paper and sometimes other lighter displays. Dark colors tend to give me headaches if I have to decrypt much writing on them. I only use dark colors to convey a sense of gloom and doom ;) like when I put in stuff about PTSD in my piece about The White Olive Tree.
It's annoying that switching to other types of background theme, the equipment can not be programmed to give appropriate alternative contrast. Programmers are at fault there. Black on sunny yellow is usually very clear. Perhaps you can switch your own background theme setting to view such things more at ease ?
