To All the Guys Who Loved Me
I know I'm late to the game but in my defence, "To All The Guys..." has just been released in my region...
I am completely irked by the weird plotline of Kim Sun Hee avidly pursuing Ji Woo and Seo Yoon's arranged marriage. Peddling your daughter off to the love of your young adult life, is creepily incestuous to me. Is she planning to seduce him once they're married? Is she doing it just to gain control of him (whilst sacrificing her own dughter)? Are we meant to just think she's completely cra-cra? Is it just Makjang?
This is a very light romantic antidote at the moment. I can suspend disbelief on all sorts of things here; the previous life/soulmates trope, the fated childhood encounter, the marriage obsessed parents...but this particular plot-line is just too much ridiculousness for me. Can anyone help me get a handle on it?!
