The ending is too complicated or too smart, but it's really too boring with all the mumbo jumbo with the science.

Why can't this be much more simple.  Why can't both lovers allow grow old together only when earth's time is frozen. They kept earth's time frozen for the sake love. How can that be more and so romantic ending?
