The novel was really, really good. Salute to the author. It was just really frustraiting that the novel stopped at the best part. Chapter 84!!!!! Why does the author need to stop the novel at the most intriguing and critical part?!!. My curiosity and the cliffhanger is killing me. 

If someone knows the continuation of the novel, please let me know! 

Shortly after the last chapter (I think chapter 82) had been published, the news about the project of The Last Immortal was released and just within a few months, another news about adaption of the unfinished novel was announced too. She sold the copyright that is the reason for no more updated chapters

A friend just shared with me the last part of the novel about Bai Shuo. I don't know if it is authentic. Below is the text in Chinese. You can have it translated into your language using ChatGPT. According to this the novel ends openly. Bewitched Bai Shuo killed Fan Yue. after that the curse was broken and she realized what she had done. She fieced her own heart. After both of them died, they woke up again in the God Realm as Yue Mi and Tianqi. But Yue Mi refused to meet him. Tianqi would chase her. Shang Gu predicted that it would be challanging for him.

重昭飞来,将白烁紧紧抱在怀里。

众仙赶到紫月山时,瞧见的是已褪去魔性的重昭和即将消散的白烁。

“阿烁,阿烁......”重昭惶恐地抱着白烁,拼命将灵力注入她灵台,但白烁生机已绝。

 “没用了,阿昭,我的灵台碎了。 我想爹娘和阿曦了,带我回家,好吗?”

白烁笑笑,眼中满是温和怀念。

重昭点头,抱起白烁。

“重昭!”茯苓在重昭身后唤他,他恍若未闻,抱着白烁一步步离开山巅。

上仙中,有人想拦,却被金曜阻止。

“让他走吧,他身上的魔性已除。”

重昭望了怀中的白烁一眼,化为一道流光,冲向人间。

茯苓悲痛欲绝,欲追,却被金曜一道仙光困住。

孩子,别继续错下去了,你留不住他。”

茯苓惨然一笑,跪倒在地。

天上一日,人间一年。世事更迭,改朝换代,物是人非。重昭带着白烁来到了白家人墓前。

皓月殿主陨落,冷泉宫主重昭不知所踪,常媚作为妖族唯一的半神,成了新的妖皇。

仙妖两界再度恢复和平和宁静。

天启一愣,眼中倏然恢复了亮光。

“你千万年都寻了,如今她好不容易回来,难道又要放弃?”

天启转身欲走。

“你做什么去?”

“下界。”

“这是去你神殿的方向。”

“我殿里那三车酒,等了它的主人很多很多年了。”

天启一笑,消失在原地。

I'm confused. So in the original ALP / MM Universe, 

Tian Qi / Jing Yuan / Fan Yue didn't have feelings for Yue Mi / Xing Yue / Bai Shuo at first?

What about in Moonlight Mystique universe -- does he likes Xing Yue in the novel/drama first or he only had feelings for Shang Gu?

In the original ALP (both ALP Drama and the Novel), Tianqi was in love with Shang Gu (although I personally wanted to take that his feelings was mistaken that for love in a romantic sense when he just cared for Shang Gu in a familial way, this is what I like to believe because it was said that both Tianqi and Yuemi raised Shang Gu since she was born).

Tianqi feelings was seen as unrequited due to his feelings of "romantic" love for Shang Gu since Shang Gu see Tianqi like a brother. The person Shang Gu loves is Bai Jue(which he is among the True Gods). 

Yuemi and Tianqi was said they grew up together and have known each other for a very long time since they were in their younger years. Yuemi have feelings for Tianqi and she loves him secretly for a very long time now but she knows her feelings is unrequited because she knows that Tianqi loves Shang Gu. Despite her knowing this, she still cared for Shang Gu as a close friend on her end. 

So to simply answer your question the original backstory basing on ALP and the Novel, Tianqi didn't love Yuemi, but Yuemi is still someone very important to him though. 

In ALP, Yuemi died trying to protect Tianqi when he rebelled against the God Realm to save Shang Gu. In her dying moments, she confessed to Tianqi her true feelings that she's been keeping a secret all this time despite she knows Tianqi didn't feel that way for her at first, but Yuemi was happy she was able to tell Tianqi her true feelings deep down. Tianqi was really hurt from Yuemi's death that when she died and her "soul fragments" faded away in the sky he gathered parts of it and turned her into a stone statue. In the drama ALP it was revealed Tianqi knew Yuemi feelings all along but he didn't want to outright reject her since he didn't want to lose her as a close friend if he were to reject her. This is why he always go about the most indirect way to show Yuemi that he didn't feel that way for her etc(but this still indirectly hurted Yuemi's feelings even when it was not his intention), but Yuemi's death was a heartbreaking scene. 

In the Novel it was revealed that Tianqi didn't really know that Yuemi felt that way towards him until after she was gone. So there's a difference here between drama ALP vs Novel ALP

To be honest, from a viewer and fans perspective, Yuemi's unrequited love and Tianqi loving Shang Gu is what I didn't find appealing in ALP on my end when it comes to their backstory so this is why I love the change in the drama MM to their backstory between Jing Yuan and Xing Yue because he(Jing Yuan) was able to love the right person who can return his love.

This comparison is based on the Novel Bai Shuo Shang Shen which is where Moonlight Mystique(Drama) is adapted from. 

But in terms of the Drama universe you can take MM as a standalone drama due to these changes. Something like an alternate universe(setting) of the "what if's" situation. What if Tianqi love Yuemi back then will things be very different? What if they lived on in their tribulation life as Fan Yue and Bai Shuo instead of returning to being Tianqi and Yuemi at the end etc etc. It really just depends on how you view the version and which you enjoyed better. For me, for the majority part and my feelings is explained in that thread I linked you to in comparison between the Novel (Bai Shuo Shang Shen) and its Drama adaptation Moonlight Mystique. I love the drama MM better than the Novel(Bai Shuo Shang Shen) for the most part

Are there any other novel that the author wrote that is similar to ALP, TLI, and MM? Her stories are addictive.
