I also like this kind of stories, and really liked MOD and GBYFD. Have you watched Spare me your mercy and Laws of attraction? The first is more similar to MOD, the second also has a mystery line but also deals with the law, injustice and society inequalities.

Laws of Attraction is on my to-watch list, but I'm not sure when I'll get around to it. As for Spare Me Your Mercy, it really looks interesting but I tend to avoid any story that deals with terminal illness. I can get through it if it's only briefly mentioned once or twice, but it seems like in this case the story will feature this heavily and I don't think I'll be able to watch it if that's the case. Which sucks because it seems so, so interesting.

Another BL that's in the realm of mystery/psychological drama is Mystique in the Mirror which I haven't seen yet, but it does seem intriguing from the synopsis. Similarly, there's an upcoming Korean BL called The Lie We Lived In which is a mystery/thriller and it's definitely caught my attention.

I hope that after the success Khemjira had (and GBYFD which was also pretty popular), that we will be getting a lot more horror BL's. I'm incredibly excited for The Grim Lover, as well, although I think that will be more in the supernatural/mystery genre rather than full on horror.

At one point the fortune teller says she's sad that she was born a woman's soul in a man's body, so I'm comfortable just calling her a trans woman :)

Oh, I missed that part, thanks for clarifying!

Ryn:
I don't know this one. Could you spell it out for me :)

That's Dangerous Drugs of Sex, a VERY dark fiction japanese movie and very graphic both in violence and nudity, based on a hentai manga (which I haven't read, but considering usually the live action is tamer than most mangas, I suppose it must be heavy). It's not for everyone, but I found the plot quite intriguing in the sense it made me think what makes people keep going when life gets harder to put sense into. I like odd productions that question what's widely believed about a theme, and although I don't condone the actions in the movie, that are really very extreme, it's like entering the minds of very desperate people and that intrigues me.

Ryn:
Huh, this one? I don't think that's GMMTV? But yes they did tone down the original a LOT.

You're absolutely right, my bad! I was confused because Almond and Progress signed with GMMTV a few months after Lovesick finished, and I lumped it all together.

Yes, you're right, it does feature it heavily, but it's a really interesting story.

I tried to watch MITM, because it's the kind of psychological drama I'm drawn to, but I quit after 3 or 4 episodes, because IMO it was taking too long to start tying things together and the confusion was too much for me to follow, but the idea still attracts me. I'll check TLWLI, hadn't heard of that one yet, thanks.

Same here, from the teaser it looks like it's going to deliver a fantasy horror of some kind which is right up my alley, and I love PoohPavel. I loved GBYFD and Khemjira, too. Dead Friend Forever goes a little in that direction, but not so much, I wish there were more shows like these.
