Cover Image Guidelines for Titles (Singapore)

Help

These rules explain Singapore-specific requirements for selecting a main cover image for Singapore titles.

All general cover rules (official-only, integrity, orientation, scope, rejection cases, placeholders) are defined in the Global Cover Image Guidelines and apply here by default.

Mediacorp as the Primary Promotional Authority

For Singapore titles, Mediacorp is the dominant and authoritative promotional source.

Approved main cover images should come from:

  • Official Mediacorp channels and properties, including:

    • Channel 5, Channel 8, Channel U

    • Suria, Vasantham

  • Official Mediacorp program pages

  • Official Mediacorp social media accounts

  • Official press or promotional materials released by Mediacorp

Key clarification

If multiple versions of a visual exist:

  • The version officially released or adopted by Mediacorp takes priority

  • Platform display differences do not override Mediacorp’s promotional intent

Limited Poster Availability for Singapore Titles

Many Singapore productions, especially:

  • Older dramas

  • Talk shows

  • Documentaries

  • Public-service or educational programs

may not have traditional posters.

In these cases:

  • Official program logos or branding visuals released by Mediacorp are acceptable

  • Clean, official title cards may be used only when no poster exists

Important

  • Episode stills, studio photos, or host portraits are not substitutes for posters

  • If no official promotional visual exists at all, a database placeholder will be applied by the approval staff
