Because they had the healthiest relationship I've seen in any drama / movie; a relationship full of validation, communication, support, and companionship. One of the best friends-to-lovers pairing ever.

Because the leads were best friends first, then companions..

Full of healing, and loving each other completely (heart and soul) like no one else ever did.

Because the ML was drawn to her innocence, and the FL was drawn to his charm.. theirs was a forbidden love they couldn't overcome. 

I mean Annie Chen and George Hsu.. undoubtedly one of the most electric couples from T-ent who everybody shipped so bad that it had to turn real.. I mean a decade!

If gentleness, yearning, and heartbreak had a face, it would be these two. They found a home in each other but could not return to.

Maria / Kamiya - the way he accepted everything about her, the way he loved her,  the way anyone would fall in love with the FL because of her strength and loyalty.. because their story wrecked me..

Because they were waiting for each other for a lifetime.. Because he loved her so much that his soul ripped itself into pieces because of her pain.. Because she loved him so much that she gave her identity to him.

Because the leads were each other's first love, and probably last..

Becuase both the leads showed us what a 'happily ever after' truly means; what it means to come back to a home and what it means to stay committed to one another through thick and thin.

Because the leads owned the flirting game, and can't be beaten in the 'witty' department.. because the FL is reminiscent of Wednesday Addams and the ML is the ML that Wednesday deserved..

Because Park Shin Hye was a teen, and Lee Wan a young adult, and yet both remain each other's best pairing even after 2 decades.. 

Because their chemistry was EXPLOSIVE., and the ML felt an orgasm just by playing the piano with her. BEAT THAT!

Because even though the FL was a minor and the ML was an adult, the way he challenged her each time, and the way she triggered him.. was hella HOT.

Because their chemistry and romance turned from reel to real..

Because they were just PERFECT together and individually, in every way.

Because their chemistry, the tension, the complex feelings were just waiting to burst..
