1. Hijack 1971
Korean Movie - 2024
Wow, what a well made movie! That it has happened in real life is horrifying! I wonder just how accurate the movie is to what actually happened. Is his backstory different? Or the things he did on the plane? The type of passengers? It was a very moving movie.
Train to Busan vibes from how this movie was made.
Rewatched together with my parents on Feb. 21st. List: https://kisskh.at/list/r1weqWG3

2. Pilot
Korean Movie - 2024
This was a fun movie :) He got to experience the different treatment of men and women within the workforce, learning many lessons along the way. Yet at the same time, he got the same level of attention in both genders which just means that it really is the person, not the gender.
Tbh, I'm not sure they picked the perfect lead for this movie tho just based on looks because
Jo Jungsuk looks very masculine. In real life I think he wouldn't be able to get away with his disguise this easily. However, I don't care! haha, I like the hidden identity trope a lot and it was quite entertaining. I very much enjoyed watching Jo Jungsuk in Go Back Couple as well. It used to be one of my favourite dramas. There was some potential for romance there, but I'm glad it didn't turn out like that. The message was more important for the movie than the romance, that the ones who created the movie understood well.
Although not perfect, a possible rewatch in the future.
Wait... I just saw that this is a remake of a Swedish movie called Cockpit?? Never seen or heard of it! Better check it out

3. Faceless
Japanese Movie - 2024
Nothing you haven't seen before yet it's still a good movie. I always love hidden identity (etc) tropes so I enjoyed Shotai.

4. Okay! Madam
Korean Movie - 2020
It's a good action comedy movie :)

5. Demon City Oni Goroshi
Japanese Movie - 2025
What a bad movie... The climax was the whole movie like– No story whatsoever it was just watching the climax of a movie but it was stretched throughout the whole movie. The characters have no personality and most of the characters don't even get a chance to even try to have a personality because (spoiler) everyone dies; horrible ending!
I was drawn to this movie because of the visualy pleasing presentation of it on Netflix. This movie was released the day I watched it so it doesn't have a rating on MDL as I'm writing this.
Will never watch this again it was really bad!

6. Godzilla Minus One
Japanese Movie - 2023
I watched this together with my parents because they were interested. It's not my type of movie. I don't like disaster movies etc where lots of innocent people we (the viewers) never get to know get killed. I don't understand why people want to watch things like that.
Godzilla is just a war tank amphibiant with no intelligence. Murdering humanity for no reason. Hate him fr that fat dinosaur.
Found family be cute tho.

7. Bullet Train Explosion
Japanese Movie - 2025
It was a good action/hostage movie. I suspected the culprit from early on tho.

8. KPop Demon Hunters

9. He Won't Kill, She Won't Die
Japanese Movie - 2019
I didn't expect this movie to make me go through a rollarcoaster of emotions. It was calm and cute with some melancholy vibes at first. Then the plot twist happened and all 3 timelines connected. It was really hard to hold back my tears. This movie was nothing like I expected. There wasn't even really any shoujo vibes at all.
I grew attached to all the main characters and rooted for their love. I ship Kyapiko and Jimiko as well, even though they were portrayed as just friends. Although the ending threw me off, the movie definitely made a greater impact on me because of it. I liked the relationship between the two mains a lot. But maybe next time I'll watch something with comedy as a genre ^^;

10. And Yet, You Are So Sweet
Japanese Movie - 2023
This is more what I had in mind when I wanted to watch a movie yesterday. Cheezy, cute and a bit cringy shoujo romance~ Never fails to cheer you up! This movie doesn't stand out from the other shoujo movies I've seen, but I wasn't expecting it to. It gave me exactly what I wanted and I had a good time watching it!
Reading some comments, other viewers seem to be bothered by the female lead being referred to as "ugly" by many characters. She's obviously not ugly. This is just how shoujo movies etc are. Also, nobody is ugly, we just have standards, ideals and different preferences. What I'm trying to say is: the actress is very cute and pretty, and this is just a movie.

11. Love Untangled
Korean Movie - 2025
Maybe it's because I'm back in my manga/anime cycle, but it wasn't easy to complete this movie. It took me 2 days to complete it. But it's a solid school romance movie and I'd probably liked more had I watched this at a different time.
I've also started to cringe when I watch romantic scenes sometimes. Idk why... what happened to me~...?? ㅠㅠ Anyway–
I liked their friends. And the ending was cute. Wish they would've put a bit more effort into his backstory tho. (Spoiler) Just throwing in DV like that felt like a plot device just to stirr up drama, inserting one of my most hated tropes: lovers separated. I didn't need the time skip. Throwing in all that drama at the end made the rest of the movie feel slow. Writing about this more, actually, yeah, not a big fan of this movie after all.
