Favourite BL actors and performers

A short explanation about this list: "actors" can actually act - either because of their education, training, skill, talent or a combination of those - while "performers" are those who deliver lines, but can't be considered actors. I arranged them according to how much I like them - because of their work, personality (or what I think it is like), looks and what they do outside of work.

  • War Wanarat Ratsameerat

    Thai

    1. [Actor] Multitalented, stealing the show every time he's in the frame, perfectly capable of outperforming entire casts, War allows only one person to take the spotlight instead of him - that person is Yin. Long considered one of the better actual actors in Thai BL industry, in "Jack & Joker" War showed just how powerful he is. Best actor on the marked and a decent singer - deserves the No. 1 spot on my list.

  • Mix Sahaphap Wongratch

    Thai

    2. [Actor] From humble beginnings to GMMTV's finest: Mix landed his debut role in ATOTS having no acting experience nor education, but quickly showed his skill. His performance in "Moonlight Chicken" - confident and professional - was his best so far. Additionally, in "Cupid's Last Wish" and "Ossan's Love" Mix displayed a genuine talent for comedy. This guy can carry a show alone - and he already did.

  • Yin Anan Wong

    Thai

    3. [Actor] Top tier and - as "Jack & Joker" showed - getting better, expanding his range. Special abilities: shines bright when on his own, shines brighter when paired with War. Yin's acting is authentic, believable and convincing - all due to his full immersion in any role he's playing. A delight to watch.

  • Mark Pakin Kuna-anuwit

    Thai

    4. [Actor] Probably the most versatile BL actor in Thailand save for War, Mark succesfully portrayed a wide range of characters in several GMMTV productions and deserves particular praise for his performances in "My School President", "Only Friends" and "High School Frenemy".

  • Nanon Korapat Kirdpan

    Thai

    5. [Actor] With BL credits limited to one show and one special, Nanon earned his spot here with a great performance as "Bad Buddie's" Pran - withdrawn and hesitant, mature and vulnerable, harbouring an inner strength greater than his on-screen boyfriend. Takes some skill to present a complex and relatable character in 12 episodes of a not-so-fluffy rom-com. Also, he sings really well.

  • Fourth Nattawat Jirochtikul

    Thai

    6. [Actor] One of GMMTV's hottest and most valuable assets, Fourth deserves all the praise for his performances in "Moonlight Chicken" and "My School President". His pretty face can express more with one grin than most of Thailand's BL performers accomplish during their entire "career". There's a small scene in ep. 6 of "Moonlight Chicken" which displays it well: the New Year kiss of Li Ming and Heart - Fourth doesn't say a word, playing it entirely non-verbally and perfectly communicating with both the audience and his on-screen partner.

  • William Jakrapatr Kaewpanpong

    Thai

    7. [Actor] An accomplished singer and frontman of LYKN, William invaded the BL world with an awesome performance in "Thame-Po", displaying remarkable control of his character, easily dominating almost every scene with calm confidence. That's true acting skill.

  • Keen Suvijak Piyanopharoj

    Thai

    8. [Actor]

  • Jimmy Jitaraphol Potiwihok

    Thai

    9. [Actor]

  • Aungpao Ochiris Suwanacheep

    Thai

    10. [Actor]

  • First Kanaphan Puitrakul

    Thai

    12. [Actor]

  • Satang Kittiphop Sereevichayasawat

    Thai

    13. [Actor] From his quiet role as "James" in FUTS through the less silent and story-driving "Sean" in "Star in My Mind" to "Sound" in MSP and "Our Skyy 2", his best role so far, Satang kept catching my attention and impressing me. I wasn't a fan of his performances in "Wednesday Club" nor "We Are", but his cameo in "My Love Mix-Up!" made up for that (he's on screen for 2,5 minutes and brings so much raw power that it energizes the otherwise sleepy and lukewarm show). Also, I'm a huge fan of his angelic voice; his "แค่คืบ", part of "Last Twilight" OST, is brilliantly performed.

  • Nut Thanat Danjesda

    Thai

    15. [Actor]

  • Sunny Wannarat Wattadalimma

    Thai

    16. [Performer]

  • Tul Pakorn Thanasrivanitchai

    Thai

    17. [Actor]

  • Fluke Nattanon Tongsaeng

    Thai

    18. [Performer]

  • Drake Sattabut Laedeke

    Thai

    19. [Performer]

  • Title Kirati Puangmalee

    Thai

    20. [Actor]

  • Sea Tawinan Anukoolprasert

    Thai

    21. [Actor]

  • Dunk Natachai Boonprasert

    Thai

    22. [Performer] Cute, handsome, hot - but his delivery is so dreadful that it's not even funny. Still, he has great off screen chemistry with Joong, is very likeable and seems to maintain good relations with actors and performers from the industry, including plenty of those who are not in GMMTV's employ.

  • Sea Dechchart Tasilp

    Thai

    23. [Performer] More of a performer than an actor, he nevertheless made a good impression in "Only Boo!" Waiting for more of his work to see whether he improves.

  • Joong Archen Aydin

    Thai

    24. [Actor] Decent acting, great looks, his voice is okay - but my soft spot for him comes from the great chemistry he and Dunk have off screen. His deeply moving delivery in the finale of ep. 9 of "Hidden Agenda" remains my favorite and makes that scene the best not just in the series but also in his career. Would be higher on the list, but there was that one response he gave to a fan's question on whether he's gay; "no, I'm normal" he replied. He apologized, but such things are not easily forgotten.

  • Winny Thanawin Pholcharoenrat

    Thai

    25. [Performer]
