This is very nearly a perfect drama for me. Its both a childhood friends to lovers trope, as well as a rivals to lovers. The acting, plot, and editing are all superb.

I love that the romance is technically secondary but also essential. Instead it's about Akihito's outlook on his situation and learning to see outside of his perceived impression and not close himself off.

If you are looking for a perfect high school, coming of age drama, this is it. It surprised me with how well Hioki's character is written and that is the peak of this drama.
