2026

1st drama of 2026, and I already DROPPED this

Very Disapponting

Grade : POOR (P)

The Women Empowerment,  handling of tea business and standing up against internal and external threats was handled with grace and poise. But cannot be said about the relationship aspect in the drama. From Women Empowerment it went into woman controlling everything, and imbalance. Watch only for the scheming and tea business aspect. Everything else is disappointing.

Overall 7-8 /10

Grade : ACCEPTABLE (A)

A well balanced deeply female centric drama that explores themes of women oppression, abuse and asks question of does truth coming to light equal justice and opens debate on accountability for people in power.

Overall : 8.7/10

Grade : EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS (EE)

Usual Yang Yang martial arts drama with similar trope of poisoned ML fighting for justice and solving crimes...old wine in new bottle, with good acting.

Grade : ACCEPTABLE (A)

Tried watching it after Zhan Zhao adventures. The familiar trope of poisoned ML but going out of his way for FL and hiding his true powers was not very impressive. Also Meng Ziyi's acting hasn't improved. He Yu was a good discovery..will look out for his other dramas.

DROPPED

The relationships in this drama has been dealt with depth and maturity. The script, story everything was proceeding very well till it nose-dived in last few episodes. They built up all the suspense for that ending?! SMH

Grade : ACCEPTABLE (A)

The first 10 episodes were fire ? . After that everything was just ash. The FL went from resourceful, strategic, intelligent person to a speech spouting heroine with all talk and no substance. And reconciliation of the loose ends was even terrible. Wasted my time, expectations and energy?

Grade : DREADFUL (D)

An idealistic drama on marriage, divorce and family values. Story had potential but was too boring in storytelling. I struggled to finish this, dropping and picking it up and eventually finishing it. A pleasant one time watch.

Grade : ACCEPTABLE (A)

Raw, realistic, relatable.

Finally a drama with plot, coherent storytelling, brilliant acting and heavenly OST. Each episode was well thought out, gave enough material to be satisfied and previews built enough anticipation to make me wait for the next episodes.

Best of 2026.

100/10

GRADE : beyond OUTSTANDING

DROPPED

A comedic drama with some profound observations and lessons. Actors played their comedic roles with good timing without making it vulgar or cheap. Not happy with the ending. Overall, a different C-drama where the ML is not relying on brute strength but on preparing well, lying low, and fighting from the shadows when needed, often guiding others, pulling strings behind the scenes.

Grade : ACCEPTABLE (A)

On Hold

Great visuals, sets, costumes...poor script and after 20episodes became too predictable and in slow motion.

Grade : POOR (P)

DROPPED

Xu Kai ❤️‍??

And This drama was the whole package- suspense, complex characters, cryptic dialgues, powerful performances, memorable OSTs . It is a great example of how a seemingly familiar plot can be elevated through coherent storytelling, complex and well-written characters, and powerful performances.

Grade : EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS (EE)

An entertaining watch. The production quality, acting, editing and OST do a lot of heavy lifting, keeping the audience emotionally invested even when the plot falls apart under scrutiny. Too much of the story depends on manufactured incompetence, with characters and institutions behaving in ways that serve the plot rather than make sense for the times.
