1. Yes or No
Thai Movie - 2010
The fabulous, the iconic first Thai Lesbian Movie: Yes or No.
It is of relatively good quality for being the first GL movie of a country, the story is simple but cute and it has some good messages and gorgeous cinematography.
I also love that one of the main leads is a "Tomboy" aka butch girl because contrary to popular belief there isn't actually that much good butch lesbian representation even in the west.
Pie and Kim walked so others could run

2. GAP
Thai Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
Another iconic bitch, the first full length Thai GL SERIES ever: GAP
This is truly the mother of all GL series in Thailand and with the well-earned success of this series they caused a chain reaction that urged big companies and channels to release more GL series and push for more WLW representation in Thailand. The production, story and acting are pretty good and the hype is real

3. Ride or Die
Japanese Movie - 2021
This japanese Netflix movie is very mature and has violent themes in it. It's not for everybody but I liked it and it is definitely ahead of LGBT rep in japanese mainstream media.

4. Yes or No 2.5
Thai Movie - 2015
I know there's also Yes or No 2 but since I didn't enjoy that I will only recommend Yes or No 2.5
Although it features Tina Suppanad (Kim's Actress from Yes or No) this movie is NOT a continuation of Yes or No. It is a completely new story with new characters but still cute.

5. Touch
Chinese Movie - 2016
A very low budget but heartwarming movie you can find at Rela/The L Channel on Youtube.
-
6. The L Bang
Chinese Drama - 2016, 4 episodes
A super short Webseries by Rela/The L Channel on Youtube. I haven't even finished this one yet and it's really funny already
-
7. Lucky My Love
Thai Drama - 2023, 5 episodes
So sweet but too short T_T
The plot is whatever but if you just want a lighthearted short series with a cute couple, it won't hurt to watch. It's on Youtube as well.

8. She Makes My Heart Flutter
Korean Drama - 2022, 5 episodes
Another short series on Youtube, this one was funny. I love the side characters especially

9. Blank
Thai Drama - 2024, 6 episodes
I enjoyed this one a lot more than I thought I would. Due to the controversial topics and misinformation about their age gap I too was hesitant to watch this at first. But then I gave it a try and it is really good actually. The age difference is not inherently problematic, in fact both of the actresses and their characters are of age
Both Faye and Yoko are very talented actresses and the plot is quite unique especially for a GL. There is a lot of drama and (some) heavy topics most of which were executed well. Can't wait for Season 2

10. Blank Season 2
Thai Drama - 2024, 6 episodes
Part 2 of Blank.
y'all...I know everyone and their mom has watched Blank atp and if you haven't yet, I actually really recommend it, it's dramatic af but good
If you're still unsure they do adress the age gap and in my humble opinion it is handled pretty well. They show the characters' feelings about the age gap but they also show us why it doesn't matter that much in their specific case.

13. Futari Monologue
Japanese Drama - 2017, 6 episodes
I watched this for the first time years ago and for some reason gave it a very low score....wth can you believe it
After my recent rewatch of this I'm giving it a 10/10, literally comedy gold and cute af

14. Friendly Rivalry
Korean Drama - 2025, 16 episodes
Some people call it queerbaiting but you have to understand this drama in a South Korean context. From the SK perspective their dynamic is very revolutionary and a strong message. Someone on reddit said something really good: queerbaiting only happens in countries where LGBT is widely accepted because baiting and deceiving an audience is done to profit off of queerness without including it even when you could. In conservative countries like Korea they wouldn't benefit from queerbaiting, the homophobic backlash for including even the idea of queerness outweighs the profit. It is a different risk and that's why queerbaiting is barely even a thing in Korea. In the case of implication it would be called queercoding, although in my opinion Friendly Rivalry Drama is an actual display of queer romance.
