All-time favorite dramas
If you're curious as to which dramas are my favorite (maybe you found my profile and are wondering if we like the same shows), this is the right place! This is the list of shows that really left a mark on my soul. They may be different, but all of them own a big chunk of my heart!
-
1. The Untamed
Chinese Drama - 2019, 50 episodes
Changed. My. Life. If you're intimidated by the many episodes, it will not matter. 50 episodes have never gone by so quickly. The show was so addicting, and I fell into despair when I finished it because it was over. You'll fall in love with this universe and the magic in it.

2. Move to Heaven
Korean Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
I never cry at dramas, but every single episode of this show had me sobbing in the best way. This show was so perfect, everything from the characters to the story to the music. The fact that the main character had ASD without it being a "problem" was incredibly refreshing.

3. D.P.
Korean Drama - 2021, 6 episodes
This show gave me the same feelings that Move To Heaven did, despite the two shows not having anything in common. The standout comedic moments, along with the sad reality of the Korean military, mixed with the flawless OST, really made this show perfect.

4. Love with Flaws
Korean Drama - 2019, 32 episodes
I have no idea why I loved this show so much. It may be because it was the first "real" K-drama I watched (meaning 16 episodes of 1 hour). But I've since rewatched parts of it, and I still believe the diverse stories make this show, along with its captivating humor.
-
5. True Beauty
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
This drama had me hooked since I saw the first episode. My unexpected excitement about Ju-kyung's makeup journey, the two handsome guys who happened to fall for her, and the I-hoped-she-was-a-lesbian second female lead made me want more.
-
6. Alice in Borderland
Japanese Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
Amazing! All the games and puzzles were so incredibly well thought out. Every episode had me at the edge of my seat (or, uh, my bed) because it was so captivating.
-
7. Light on Me
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
Oh my god, this web drama had no business being this good! I was so surprised at the production quality and the episodes' length. I adored all the characters and had the rare experience of not caring who the lead would end up with in the love triangle.
-
8. Love Revolution
Korean Drama - 2020, 30 episodes
This will forever be my favorite web drama. I have no idea why this show made me fall so hard, but all the characters were so lovable! I enjoyed every single episode. All episodes made me laugh, and I
stillhope they make a second season! -
9. Imitation
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
This show was such an amazing watch. The one-hour episodes just FLEW by. As a K-pop fan, I also found the portrayal of the industry very interesting. I loved all the actors, and I am beyond impressed since it seems most of them are idols who hadn't acted before.
-
10. Where Your Eyes Linger
Korean Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
The first high-production Korean BL drama, and it very much might be the best. It was simple, but it has honestly made history in the best way. I binged the whole thing in a day, and I've since rewatched it plenty of times as the movie version.
-
11. Law School
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
This show was so addicting, it's crazy. I started watching it because I desperately needed an escape from my driving anxiety, so I just decided to try something new, and this show captivated me so deeply! So many twists and turns, there's no way you'd get bored.
-
12. My Love Mix-Up!
Japanese Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
The fact that this show is as underrated as it is should be criminal. I can't believe how addictive and good this show was. It's probably the drama that has made me laugh the most ever. All the leads were adorable! Simply cute.
-
13. Inspector Koo
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
An incredibly entertaining action-comedy: "Dexter" meets "Sherlock". I wasn't able to watch it while it aired, but Netflix started airing two episodes a week after the show was completed, so I still got the thrill of having to wait a week for new episodes!
-
14. Beyond Evil
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
Despite falling asleep to the best naps of my life during multiple episodes, I truly enjoyed this beautiful drama. Other than the intriguing mystery, the amazing enemies-to
-loversfriends plotline between Dong-sik and Ju-won was highly captivating lmao. -
15. Semantic Error
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
I will NEVER emotionally recover from this. My heart and my mind were never as messy as when watching this show. The extreme chemistry mixed with the enemies-to-lovers plotline had me in shambles.
-
16. I Will Be Your Bloom
Japanese Drama - 2022, 10 episodes
PAIN! This show was so captivating! The failed idol dreams, the good music, the guys all being different and nice, the sweet FL... everything made me want to watch more. I usually hate age-gap romance, truly, but Asuka and Dan had really good chemistry!
-
17. Ishiko and Haneo: You're Suing Me?
Japanese Drama - 2022, 10 episodes
This show made such a surprising impact on me! It was so refreshing to see an Asian drama where the ML and FL don't fall in love, but still care deeply about each other. The cases were exciting, and I loved Ishiko and Haneo's dynamic.
-
18. I Cannot Reach You
Japanese Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
I completely forgot how comforting a good low-stakes friends-to-lovers drama can be. I was giggling and kicking my feet watching this! And it was my first time watching a BL on Netflix, which was an upgraded experience in itself lol.
-
19. Captivated, by You
Japanese Drama - 2021, 5 episodes
Oddly enough, an extremely captivating (no pun intended) show, despite its lack of action or a clear plot. What they managed to do with such a short runtime is incredible, making me want more and more. Very heartfluttering and very sweet!
-
20. Chosen Home
Japanese Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
There is something so calming about this beautiful show. Genichi’s pets, the charming worn-down apartments, the found family, and the very real portrayal of simple, queer life in Tokyo: this drama is slice of life at its finest, with an adorable romance keeping it company.
