Male Leads Who Treated Their Ladies The Best in Dramaland

ML is older than the FL and he is a very caring boyfriend. The way he looks at her and the way he dotes on her makes the viewer understand why she adores him as well . He can be arrogant, cold, and ruthless with others but a tender and  gentle lover with her.

As the title implies, the FL sure can tell a whopper of lies and the ML loves her enough to accept that character flaw in her and he covers up for her all the time to protect her from others, including his own family. FL is the naughty type, but her man adores her, spoils her, and accepts her totally and unconditionally. 

He loves her more than his life no matter who she is.

ML is one of my favorite characters here. He already loved the FL early on during their early teens and have remained faithful to her.  There is a time skip but their reunion happened in earlier episodes. One of the best scenes I love was their first meeting after many years. His lingering gaze on her,  the slow, tender smile he gave her. He was in love with her and it showed. There is angst from the start but it’s never about their relationship with each other. There are also scheming females after him because ML was handsome and rich but he never looked at them even during the time he was not with the FL.  He wasn’t wishy-washy, he was clear in his dislike or indifference, and did not  give anyone false hopes. He never fell into their traps either. There is a reason why the title of this drama when translated means “Bonded Hearts”. She is his only love, the one he treats like a treasure. There is no amnesia trope (which I hate), their married life started early, too, after they met again. What a treat to see a couple in a drama who never once denied their love for each other(misunderstandings were resolved quickly). ML was poor when he was younger, but the twists and turns leading to his rags-to-riches story was great to watch.  ML was also smart and not easily deceived by others.  I was glad when those villains met  their downfalls, which depicts the storyteller’s  belief in karma. With 12 episodes, the drama was never draggy like in other dramas. As for FL,  she doesn’t know how to stand up to the people scheming left and right against her and her husband….good thing ML is the opposite. He was always quick to protect and defend her, otherwise she wouldn’t be able to survive without him by her side.. aside from that, I would definitely rewatch this again.
