K-Drama Dramas with a special place in my heart
Some dramas are so objectively good... but I'm not talking about those. These are the dramas that have earned themselves a permanent place in my heart, despite their many imperfections. (uncompleted list)
-
1. It's Okay, That's Love
Korean Drama - 2014, 16 episodes
they are the only couple who date in a way I can relate to
-
2. Nodame Cantabile
Japanese Drama - 2006, 11 episodes
this along with its encores. no drama is as passionate about a subject. I've always loved how both Nodame and Chiaki only love each other because of music, lol (which means they are everything to each other). I won't have it any either way and neither will they. How they reflect their music to their relationship.. It's impossible to find any other dramas with that kind of conclusion, metaphor, and self awareness to their passion and love.

3. Battle of Changsha
Chinese Drama - 2014, 32 episodes
it had everything

Korean Drama - 2007, 17 episodes
peak 2000s k drama
-
5. A Little Thing Called First Love
Chinese Drama - 2019, 36 episodes
it's just so fuzzy. There are TONS of these types of c dramas, but somehow this one won my heart.
-
6. Hotaru no Hikari
Japanese Drama - 2007, 10 episodes
-
7. Tale of Arang
Korean Drama - 2012, 20 episodes
-

Okay I admit I've got something for a manic pixie dream girl character type (LOOK at this list). But this girl takes the cake
-
9. Moon Embracing the Sun
Korean Drama - 2012, 20 episodes
-
10. Listen to My Heart
Korean Drama - 2011, 30 episodes
i don't even know why with this one
-
11. Scent of a Woman
Korean Drama - 2011, 16 episodes
-
12. I Will Never Let You Go
Chinese Drama - 2019, 51 episodes
a guilty pleasure, it was cringy and kinda campy, but its reminiscence of older stories like sailormoon. The storyline was bullshit but the main leads had a real chemistry
-
