1. I Have a Lover
Korean Drama - 2015, 50 episodes
I have to start this by saying that i usually actively avoid dramas where infidelity is a theme because i find it weak and disgusting, and in my opinion nothing can justify it. If you lose feelings or for whatever reason want out of a relationship you have to be human enough to let the other person know, no ifs ands or buts. With that being said, I think that as shitty as the ML were to the FML in the first 10 episodes - i mean he was i piece of shit. I dont consider what he did to be cheating, because he let her know he was done with her and filed for divorce way before he "cheated" on her. Yes, he could absoultly have waited til the divorce was final, but she was never left in the dark about it and that for me is the defining variable for wether it is considerd cheating or not.
With that out of the way here are my thoughts on this drama:
I know this sounds dramatic, but i do truly feel privileged to have experience this masterpice.
I Absolutely loved it! And i don't have the words to describe it or do it justice!
This is now definitely one of my all time favorite shows.
This didn't feel like watching a show, it truly felt like witnessing two soulmates lose and find themselves and each other again and again. It was soo pure and raw and painful and beautiful and frustrating and every other emotion you can imagen feeling whilest watching two people that are clearly made for each other fight the world and their demons and their painful past to get 'home ' again, witch for them is each other, because they're each others safe place.
The chemistry here is simply effortless and emotional beyond words, you can see the sparks around them while they look at each other, simply magical. -
2. One Spring Night
Korean Drama - 2019, 32 episodes
I loved the vibe in this one. Watching it felt like a big warm hug.
Everything felt so genuin and just so real and cozy and like everything good and honest in life. Its honestly hard to explain but it just had this feeling of ease to it. I think its the mature, untoxic love that made it so pure and special to me - there were no games and no power battles, just two souls finding and loving each other. -
3. Something in the Rain
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
This one was truly beautiful. It was filled with warmth and it felt so genuin and raw from start to finish. It honestly felt like being a fly on the wall in someones life, in the best way possible.
I would say i loved this one just as much as "one spring night" if not in some ways more. The only thing making it short from a perfect 10/10 show for me is the fact that the FML is older than the ML, which is one of those tropes that sadly just dont work for me.
