My 2026 Dramas
In chronological order of completion + pros and cons in my opinion
-
1. Made in Korea
Korean Drama - 2025, 6 episodes
Pros:
- Baek Ki Tae is an interesting protagonist. Heavily flawed, and not the good guy at all, but I liked that. Helps that Hyun Bin has charisma.
- Jang Geon Young is also a fun, energetic prosecutor. I'm used to boring, strict types, but this one had a nice personality.
- Ending was pretty good, even though I know there's a season 2 coming up. It works as both a midpoint and an ending.
Cons:
- I was not captured by every episode. Doesn't help that I'm not the biggest thriller fan.
-
2. Moon River
Korean Drama - 2025, 14 episodes
Pros:
- The main two actors were phenomenal. They essentially had to act as different characters and they pulled off their general feel.
- The romance was gut wrenching and angsty.
- The soundtrack!! Would make me cry in an instant.
Cons:
- 2FL's acting leaves much to be desired. Could not get behind her character cause she was ineffective at pulling her emotions through.
-
3. Bloodhounds Season 2
Korean Drama - 2026, 7 episodes
Pros:
- Acting was spectacular for most actors, but especially Woo Do Hwan. He has a great range of emotions that he pulls off.
- Choreography is fantastic. It's the director's strength.
Cons:
- Sadly, it's choreography disguised as a story. Really, there is no story.
- Setup isn't good like the first one.
- Pacing issues. The story kept repeating the same beats and having the same hurdles. It got boring.
