this year ill include dramas ive dropped (no rating)

1. Wedding Impossible
Korean Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
can't believe i dodged this show in 2024?! it was such a good plot. the way everything unfolded so beautifully. none of the episodes felt unnecessary. even at episode 12, i was as in love with the show as episode 1. i do think its kinda of a red flag that he kissed his brother's wife (even though its a contract marriage). it kind of scares me to think how far he would've gone if he hadn't found out about it. thats why its 9.5 and not 10... but other than that, i thoroughly enjoyed ajung and jihan's chemistry. they had mini romantic moments at just the right time and i don't know maybe its just the adrenaline from the new year that made the show good!

2. Blue Spring Ride
Japanese Movie - 2014
the movie adaptation was such a beautiful depiction of the manga!! i think this movie would be a nice intro to the story for people who aren't sure if they want to commit to the manga or 2 season drama. it definitely felt very packed and quick paced because the manga has a lot of lore but nonetheless, i really felt like i watched kou truly find happiness again. and the music is AWESOMEEE!!

3. Branding in Seongsu
Korean Drama - 2024, 24 episodes
i loved lomon in no tail to tell! but as expected i dont think i enjoy gender swap shows, even if lomon is the main lead...
-
4. Love between Lines
Chinese Drama - 2026, 28 episodes
not really motivated to finish after they became a couple. it felt like they should've ended the show at 20 episodes. i really loved the main couple and how the whole vr mystery game isnt the whole premise of the show. they actually focused on their real jobs in architecture! so cool to see the work life of this field. and i really liked the side couple too. maybe ill come back just to see if they become a couple someday!

5. Onzoshi ni Koi wa Muzu Sugiru
Japanese Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
kind of felt unnecessary to add violence to this show?
-
6. Spring Fever
Korean Drama - 2026, 12 episodes
hm
-
7. Even if This Love Disappears Tonight
Korean Movie - 2025
i wasn't surprised since i watched the original but it was interesting to see it through a more modernized lens. the female lead uses notion!
-
8. Wind Up
Korean Drama - 2026, 50 episodes
pay walled. the acting is also not very bearable but its understandable since they're idols haha.
-
9. The Heirs
Korean Drama - 2013, 20 episodes
i tried this show a while back and didn't understand the appeal. thought maybe i was just not fit for dramas in this era but i actually loved it so much in 2026. it reminded me of dynamite kiss honestly. i feel a lot of good dramas take inspiration from this drama's success. i think the last scene where youngdo meets his mom was so heartwarming. the way he kept saying mom :(. eunsang and tan are just so beautiful together. tan is always protective of her and joking around to lift the mood. i love how they met in the states and how he fought so hard to be with her. i really felt the pain of losing your lover. even though it was 20 episodes long, i never felt like it was dragging on. it was a bit dramatic when the boys would fight every moment they crossed paths lol but they knew when to work together because they don't genuinely hate each other.
omg also, it was so weird seeing so many famous actors in this one drama. a lot of them have successful careers now. what a coincidence. hyungsik's character was weird though.
