Vetted by an actual gay man that has kissed men - not ranked.

Also I realized I could add notes and wanted to add my opinion :D

Literally my favourite show of all time. Pran is my absolute favourite character and he scares me because of how much I see myself in him. I really loved how their relationship barely changed upon them actually getting together. They stayed being annoying as fuck and bullying the shit out of eachother.

They understand eachother better than anyone else and that's what made their ending so much more satisfying. Where other shows feel too insta-lovey for me, Bad Buddy gives a reason why they get together in the span of 7 episodes. Their unspoken and undeniable bond as childhood 'rivals' and secret friends, trying to navigate a unique and confusing situation together.

Of course there are aspects to improve upon. More of a role for the other members in their respective friendgroups, a bit of a better cinematographer (Rath I'm looking at you babe), less in-your-face ads (even when it created one of my favourite scenes in the whole show, the face wipe heart scene). But even despite these flaws, this show remains unparalled for me.

Both of the main actors, Nanon and Ohm, are electric on screen and truly blow this show out of the water. I truly believe this show wouldn't have been half as good if these two weren't cast as Pran and Pat. Their chemistry is great and even when they aren't in scenes together, they command the screen and make you realize how bad other actors really are (not anyone in particular, get off my ass).

This show has been a 10/10 since 2021 for me, and that will never change.

It's not perfect, but it's iconic nonetheless. The casting is great and the love story is interesting and realistic. Also both of these characters are neurodivergent and it makes the viewing experience that much better.

Bring characters with genuine real flaws back in gay drama's! Jaewon's depression is so incredibly recognizable that it made reavaluate my own experiences and assumptions about the people around me. They're messy and complicated because that's what people are. They both have their own bad moments but that tracks. Also very nicely shot and colour graded!

Song: TALK ME DOWN - Troye Sivan

Just a fun show all-around. Making this stupid ass premise interesting and fun is feat and they absolutely succeeded. Adachi is an incredibly likable and relatable character with Akaso Eiji playing him wonderfully. The casting is incredible and these actors really know how to play these characters to their full potential. It's cheesy at times, but it stays fun and doesn't feel like a bunch of tropes smashed together.
