drama recommendations!! <3
I'll keep adding to this as I watch more dramas - I love all these dramas a lot and highly recommend if you're looking to start a new drama try one of these (I have left comments under some cause I just have a lot to say okay)
THESE ARE IN ORDER OF MY MOST RECOMMENDED ONES FIRST!
-
1. Vagabond
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
This drama is the perfect balance in between action, romance and crime in my opinion. The cast is phenomenal and fit the characters perfectly, the leads have great chemistry and the plot is continuously captivating as you constantly find yourself rooting and hoping the dalgeon and haeri succeed. It truly deserves a season 2 and I hope it gets one eventually with the same cast as it did end with the perfect set up for a second season!!!

2. Move to Heaven
Korean Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL DRAMAS. The life lessons, the relationships and how they develop, the plot and characters all of it is beautiful. Je hoon and Jun sang are both tremendously talented individuals and deserve way more recognition for their talents. Each episode has you either crying or on the verge of tears. The best feel-good emotional drama out there!
-
3. The Uncanny Counter
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
This drama is perfect for those who want a more lighthearted, fun action drama it has comedy and several feel-good moments. The chemistry between the four main leads is so wonderfully developed especially between so mun and mo tak. Like most dramas it has its fair share of sad and emotional scenes and the acting throughout every episode is top-notch!
-
4. Healer
Korean Drama - 2014, 20 episodes
An earlier drama but one of the best, can you tell action is one of my favourite genres. Like the uncanny counter and vagabond healer has elements of crime and humour, the plotline is really engaging and you spend every episode wanting to know more about what happened and why and who is who and their role in everything. The two leads have such great chemistry and this is in my personal opinion ji chang wook's best drama to date, he embodies jung hoo perfectly and you really root for his happiness as you see more of how much he has struggled. On the same page I think yeong shin is one of if not min young'st best roles to date, the character is so developed and lively despite having such a tragic past. The plot develops at such a nice speed and never leaves you bored!

5. Because This Is My First Life
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
This drama is just wonderful, it shows different relationship troubles and couples and how they cope with it all. It's a feel-good romance with the perfect amount of conflict, slow burn, and angst! All the couples have their own unique chemistry and it's great to see their different personalities and how they work in relationships. The storyline itself is cute and very naturally romantic if that makes sense nothing over the top or unrealistic

6. Taxi Driver
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
Now, this drama is mostly action with angst so if you prefer action comedy/action romance etc I would recommend vagabond, healer, or the uncanny counter that being said this drama is top-notch for me. The plot is well-executed and moves at just the right speed. You fall in love with the team and the bond they have especially when you find out why they have such a bond and even though the prosecutor is looking to take the team down you can't help but love her too. Yet again Je hoon shows incredible talent and versatility in his acting, his character captivates you and you just can't help but love him and his need to protect those he loves and cares about, his relationship with go eun is particularly touching and heartwarming. The tinge of will they won't they romance between do gi and ha na is just enough to leave you wanting more. Ji yeon plays her villain role fabulously and whilst the show makes you progressively hate her more and more you also admire her businesswoman abilities and cunning schemes. Overall this drama is great despite it mostly being crime and action its not boring and the set up for season 2 looks INSANE and I cannot wait.

7. Rain or Shine
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
The perfect melodrama romance. You just root for the two leads to find happiness after having experienced such intense trauma. The way they develop the relationship is very well done and as the episode progress, you watch it unfold in a beautiful way. It has the perfect amount of angst, past shared trauma, tear-jerking scenes and romance, I highly recommend it!

8. Angel's Last Mission: Love
Korean Drama - 2019, 32 episodes
As far as fantasy romances go this drama is one of the best for me, the characters are so fucking loveable, and the conflicts and problems they face throughout the series isn't focused on the cliche love triangle that often fantasy dramas have, whilst there is a second lead you mostly feel sorry for his tragic past and as the story progresses you see why he is so fixated on helping yeon seo. It has the perfect balance between romance and comedy and the fantasy element of it isn't overpowering or cringey. myung soo and hae sun's acting is phenomenal the way they express every emotion so beautifully and effortlessly is refreshing and keeps you wanting to watch more on top of them also have amazing chemistry. I will say this drama would have benefited from maybe another episode just so the ending could be wrapped up in a less rushed way but that's just me nitpicking at this point

9. Doom at Your Service
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
I personally really enjoyed this drama, it has great quotes from the couples. It uses several tropes relatively very well such as enemies to lovers, fated lovers, and second loves. The love triangle in it isn't overwhelming and I think thats mostly down to joo ik's charisma. It has fantasy, romance, angst, and bad boy lead, a charismatic cold second lead, two cute and bubbly female lead and female second lead best friends so what more can you ask for

-
14. Are You Human?
Korean Drama - 2018, 36 episodes
This drama is so criminally underrated it hurts my soul. kang joon is such a versatile, talented actor it really surprised me. I went into this drama not expecting much just and nice sci-fi drama but it really went above my expectations, the plot is really great and you kind of love-hate some characters and their actions then you fall in love with others. Also the leads have such cute chemistry and they're so funny for no reason especially nam shin!

15. While You Were Sleeping
Korean Drama - 2017, 32 episodes
It has suzy, jongsuk and hae in literally what else do you need. The love triangle isn't unbearable and cliche plus the way they resolve it is just 10/10. Han woo tak is the love of my life, the plot is great and moves along in a great pace, there's romance and cute/funny comedy scenes. Suzy, jongsuk and hae in's characters are all loveable all in all it's just a really good drama in my eyes okay
-

-
17. Alice in Borderland

18. Crash Landing on You
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
Beautiful, the cast had great chemistry heck the leads have been dating ever since so. I cried a lot be prepared to cry a lot. Is it maybe overhyped? probably but it has all the hype for a reason it's just very good!
-
19. He Is Psychometric
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
-
20. At a Distance, Spring Is Green
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
I just loved how this drama showcased different struggles and mental health problems without completely glossing over it or after 2 or 3 episodes the characters magically are okay. The natural progression of the friendship between yeo jun and soo hyun is beautiful as their friendship blossoms they become more vulnerable with each other and show each other sides no one else sees (this could have easily been an lgbtq+ drama but we can't have it all) also so bin is an adorable angel and should always be protected!
