The Package of Thai Good Shytt
Welcome to the dumps of Thai dramas & movies!
I have gathered all the dramas and movies that I've watched, including BL ones, here. In these recent years, Thai dramas & movies have surged in the entertainment industry, especially in the Southeast Asia region. The ratings that are given are always opinion-based, and some are given when I first finished the drama, which could be 10 years ago. I usually analyze a drama according to its addictiveness or the plot, as well as the acting. Feel free to use the comments I've left as a guide; some might even contain spoilers. Please view at your own risk. Those without any comments are because I forgot the storyline.
Note: My comments/reviews are usually biased; I would rate it according to my liking. You might not find stuff I wrote reasonable or rational because it's mostly emotionally based.

1. The Gifted
Thai Drama - 2018, 13 episodes
COMPLETED
I rewatched this 3 times; it was so good that I couldn't move on even after 3 years. This really was the first drama that had the ability to take Thai dramas to the international level. I now watch every drama that is produced and directed by the workers of this drama. They really set the bar very high, especially for a high school drama. This drama deserves more recognition from international fans, like fr fr. As I'm writing this, I think I have to rewatch it again soon. If you're looking for something mysterious yet addictive filled with fantasy, this comes as a pack for you. Go watch it, please, and you won't regret it!

2. The Gifted Graduation
Thai Drama - 2020, 13 episodes
COMPLETED
This is the sequel to the first season. Although it's not as memorable as the first season, it was still a 10 for me. In this season, we get to see new characters with new power, and it's what makes the whole drama even more interesting. I love that they didn't make it just a high school drama, but it also reflected the idea of what high school is for high schoolers. I could relate to this drama very well because when I first watched this, I was really in my last year of high school. If you finished the first season, you really should watch this season next, and you won't be disappointed.

3. Girl from Nowhere
Thai Drama - 2018, 13 episodes
COMPLETED
I watched every season of this series, and I'm telling you, they really did a fantastic job bringing these real-life social issues into action. Most of the things that happened in each episode of this series really did happen in real life, and it's quite sad because Nanno just doesn't exist in the real world. This series was so addicting that I watched it without any sleep; it was such a big hit in Thailand back then. I bet it still is the most recommended Netflix series from Thailand. Please watch this; it really is so good, and it's that good—I wasn't exaggerating.
-
4. Girl from Nowhere Season 2
Thai Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
COMPLETED
Thanks to this drama, my dream of seeing real-life mpreg has come true lol. You know it's a masterpiece when James Teeradon is one of the cast. He never failed to amaze me. This short Netflix series is so good; it was as good as the first season, and I'm hoping for a third season for it. I always love how they brought real social issues into it and blended them so well by making it cinematic. Nanno will always be my favourite character; she's such a baddie. I've talked a lot about this in the first season review; the second is as good, so I don't have to say much. Just go watch it!

5. Until We Meet Again
Thai Drama - 2019, 17 episodes
COMPLETED
The second BL drama in my whole life! It has the dark vibe and left me with drama fever for a few weeks. It's a story about reincarnation that played with our emotions so well. I cried buckets watching this drama. I love the way that the drama made us invested in every couple in it; it really brought the characters from the novels to life, as it was adapted from a novel. It's also the first time I looked for the novel of the second lead couple to read after watching it. It surely is recommended everywhere in the BL drama lists, and trust me, it really lives up to its name.
-
6. Theory of Love
Thai Drama - 2019, 12 episodes
COMPLETED
This drama is my first ever BL drama in my whole lifetime, and I'm glad I chose this drama to be my first. I can still remember that feeling of watching it for the first time; I watched this solely because it was relatable. I had a crush on my best friend back then, and my story was so close to this drama that I feel related to it. I cried along with it. I started shipping the couple for months and watched all of their dramas together. The whole drama takes less than a day to finish, but it's impactful. A lot has happened in those short episodes; it's so cool how they did that. The plot was simple, but there is a lot in that simpleness. I love how they also link the drama or the scenes to popular Western movies like '10 Things I Hate About You'. It really is "less but more" for me. Everything balances out so well; it still lingers in my mind to this day.

7. Our Skyy
Thai Drama - 2018, 5 episodes
COMPLETED
This was a compilation of every trending BL couple in GMMTV at that time. It's like a spinoff from their original series. If I remember it right, I watched it because of OffGun after I finished their main series, Puppy Honey. I knew nothing about the other couples but still finished it anyway, and it wasn't bad at all. It's a lighthearted spinoff that gives you a glimpse of how their life would be like after the series ended—nothing much. If you love the main series, you can continue to Our Skyy after.
-
8. I'm Tee, Me Too
Thai Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
COMPLETED
Another simple plot that didn't turn out simple at all. This drama taught us what a home really means. Sometimes we don't have to always refer to a house as a home; it could be just the people in our circle that are there for us. This drama reminds me of a saying that says, "Home isn't a place; it's the people." Thai dramas really play with our emotions so well. I've watched dramas from a lot of places, and only the Thai and Chinese could do it this well. I forgot why I only rated this 7/10, but I believe that maybe it was something that gave it out. This drama is about a bunch of guys with the same name but different personalities living together. It's funny and heartwarming at the same time; more people should really discover this.
-
9. Love by Chance
Thai Drama - 2018, 14 episodes
COMPLETED
I really discovered this drama by chance; at that time I was so into BLs, so I watched every BL in the industry lol. I miss those days when I was always free to watch dramas. I was in my high school years, so it wasn't something deep; I didn't analyze it much and just went with the flow. I forgot even what this drama was about, but I remember loving Perth and Saint a lot. However, I did remember that most of the BL series at that time would want to convey how queers are viewed in society and how much pain they had to go through to deal with the social norms. I bet this one was one of those series too. You can try this, but tbh, it's a bit outdated.
-
10. Love by Chance Season 2: A Chance to Love
Thai Drama - 2020, 13 episodes
COMPLETED
This is a sequel to the previous Love by Chance, but it would also be wrong to call it a sequel because it's more like it's in the same universe but runs with a different couple. Basically, the side couple from the first season is now the main couple here. Although I rated it the same, I feel like this wasn't as good as the first season. Although, the plot did seem to be deeper and better. Well, after all, this season suits whoever wants to finish this whole Love By Chance universe. Oh, and you can watch this without watching the first season too; it would still make sense.
-
11. Senior Secret Love: Puppy Honey
Thai Drama - 2016, 6 episodes
COMPLETED
Tbh, I remember nothing about this series except for the fact that it was OffGun's first series together. One thing I'd like to praise is the fact that they planted a BL couple in this series despite the situation of that time. The society back then wasn't really accepting of queers, so creating this series, they would risk backfires. It was a smart move to make the BL couple appear as a side couple first. I admire how the screenwriters and directors thought about this. However, it turned out that the plot of this drama was kind of plain; nothing much happened. You can give this a try tho because it probably isn't it for me but would be for you.

I usually love time loop-themed movies, but I didn't like this one much. Not that it's not good, but others made it better. This one is suitable if you want a lighthearted time loop movie that doesn't require much thinking. However, there's one thing I've always loved about Thai movies: that no matter how boring they are, you can still laugh from them. Thai comedy will always be top tier in my heart. They just come out naturally, from the actors, like it's in their blood lol. This movie also tells us to never take the time we have for granted. If you love comedy and carefree time-loop movies, please try this!

40. The Next Prince
Thai Drama - 2025, 14 episodes
COMPLETED
My first full-scale Thai drama after a couple of years. I've only watched Thai movies and short dramas these years; I switched to Chinese dramas and never thought of coming back because of the cliche plots and the stiff acting, especially with BLs. It feels as if they don't pay attention to the quality anymore. But this drama is different; it gives out a new, refreshing vibe that I haven't gotten from Thai BL dramas in these years. However, the downside is that that's it; that's all they got. The plot has so much potential to develop into something phenomenal, but it turned out plain. The quality is so good – the acting, the production, the cinematic vibe; it's just the plot that pulls everything down. But I love that throughout the plot, they also want to convey the message of social issues that are happening in real life in Thailand, and they did it beautifully. It's probably the only Thai drama that uses English in a non-cringe way despite the actors not being natives. The chemistry between the main leads is so good. If you want to watch a refreshing drama with hot scenes and also great production, try this drama. The drama sure has its downside despite the millions of baht invested into it, but the message really is deep, and I love how they low-key did that.

41. Leap Day
Thai Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
COMPLETED
The plot has so much potential; it reminds me of the 'trolley problem' dilemma, where we can't really tell who's wrong or right. Unfortunately, the stiff acting ruined it all. I've seen Dew and Pond's work around in the Thai entertainment industry but never really watched the drama they acted in. I don't know if it's the actor who ruined it or the director who did. The acting was stiff, and as someone who speaks the language, some words even appeared unnatural. They failed to convey the emotion of the character properly; the scene of Night and Dream that was supposed to be sweet became so cringey to me that I had to skip it. Gun Attaphan, however, carried the whole drama. His acting is insanely good, as expected from him. I have no idea of how an autistic person would act, but his acting was really convincing. I can't see Gun in him at all, only his character, Ozone. That's how you know he's a great actor. The 7.5/10 was given because of the plot; mysterious Thai dramas never fail to get me hooked. The actors, however, need improvement.

42. Enigma
Thai Drama - 2023, 4 episodes
COMPLETED
This series was so short but well produced. The 4 episodes aren't enough for me, and I need more. I love that they applied black magic to a modern series setting; it was done perfectly. I watched this series a few years ago, so I probably don't have much to say about it. However, I still want to comment on Prim's acting; she has been my favorite since she was young, and she always will be. She has a way to keep the series entertained; it could be her cuteness or just her skills in general. And also, congrats to Win for breaking from the BL actor picture and really proving that he isn't a "BL actor" but just an actor. I hope more people will get to discover this series, as it is excellent.

43. Enigma Black Stage

44. 4Minutes
Thai Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
COMPLETED
Wow! Just wow! It's been a while since I watched a Thai series this good. This one series has it all: mystery, thriller, romance, spice, and fantasy. Kudos to the production team: pre-production, post-production, actors, actresses, directors, producers, screenwriters, etc. They really did a fantastic job. As a philosophy student, this really makes my brain work. Especially when there's the dilemma raised when Tyme was asked, "If you met the person who killed your parents and they're dying, would you help him?" It was one of the questions that would also question our ethics and morality. Every element was perfect. It takes a lot of brain effort to really get a grasp of everything, but it's all worth it. I sincerely hope they produce more of these dramas; it's so good and also taught us valuable lessons. To be honest, this wasn't the first time I watched Jes act, but he used to act in the Lakorn settings rather than series. However, this was the first time I could see why he's an experienced actor and why he is so popular. I saw Bible once in KinnPorsche, and not gonna lie, his acting still slayed as usual. Out of context, but I really love his English accent lol. The whole thing was pieced together so well, drawing upon real social issues too; this part was most impressive. This is a piece of art you really shouldn't miss out on!

49. The Believers
Thai Drama - 2024, 9 episodes
COMPLETED
This is one series that I love so much, one that revealed the truth in the society. The social satire in this series is so real that I was worried at first that it would be banned, but thank God it's a Netflix series. I knew the series would be a big hit because James was in it, and I also had high hopes for Peach and Ally. I never saw Ally act before, but she's always been my favorite artist. She's so talented. Pub Potato as well; I grew up listening to his band, and now he's debuted as an actor. I never thought he'd act so well. The plot was so addicting; you keep wondering what bizarre ideas these people will have. It's refreshing to see real events from society adapted into a series, even with some exaggeration, though I believe the actual reality wouldn't be very different. This reflects a sad truth about society. Watch this; I promise you will be as addicted as I was.

53. How to Make Millions before Grandma Dies
Thai Movie - 2024
COMPLETED
A masterpiece from Thailand once again! From a person who has a Chinese background, the movie depicted our life so accurately. It's so relatable to the point that I spent time crying for another 10 minutes after the movie ended in the cinema. Billkin's portrayal of M was so accurate; coming from a Chinese background, he said he can relate a lot to the movie and thus, the accurate portrayal of the character. Despite being raised in a rich family, he also has a grandmother, and he once said in the interview that his real grandma and the movie's grandma are basically the same in temper. I really love how the movie pays attention to the little details. It's well deserved for its Oscar Award nomination; this Thai movie really changed something in me. I suddenly wanted to call my parents and tell them how I love them; I wanted to call my aunt to tell her that I understand how she feels now. The grandma's life in the movie really seems like my aunt's life story. I can relate to every one of the characters; I sometimes feel like I'm no different from M, the main character of the movie. A graduate without a job spends their life so uselessly; that's basically me. The characters are so human that you can feel their pain, their emotion, and their life experience as if it's yours. I promise you won't be disappointed; this movie really is a masterpiece.

54. The Paradise of Thorns
Thai Movie - 2024
COMPLETED
Another movie that I watched in the cinema on the first day it was released. I can still remember the feeling of uneasiness; I couldn't sit still nor breathe while watching it. That's how good the actors were. This movie holds a special place in my heart. I'm glad it was portrayed by Jeff and Engfa, and I honestly couldn't think of anyone else who could portray this amount of angst if it wasn't them. The male lead was originally set to be PP, but then something happened and PP withdrew, so Jeff took on the role, and tbh, after watching it, I then realised that it could only be Jeff. Jeff started as an artist, and I've been following his songs for quite a while. I've also watched his acting in KinnPorsche, and I knew he's not only a great artist but also a great actor. What surprised me was Engfa's appearance as a main lead in the movie. I've known her since her debut in the singing contest 'The Voice Thailand' I knew she was a fantastic singer, but I never would have thought she was also a great actress. Her portrayal of Mo, the female lead of the movie, was so good that I couldn't stay still. I could feel Mo's grief, anger and her every emotion even when I was just sitting in the cinema hall; she gave me goosebumps. The OST of this movie still is at the top of my list to this day. 'Rain Wedding' always stays in my playlist; it's beautifully written and sung, as expected from Jeff Satur. He never disappoints! Go check this movie out; it really is that good!

55. The Red Envelope
Thai Movie - 2025
COMPLETED
You probably won't believe me if I say I rewatched this more than 10 times in the cinema. I've always been a huge fan of Billkin and PP, going to their concerts and stuff, but if I have to be honest about this movie, I'd say it can't beat the original version. I'm not saying that it's not good, but when it's a remake of the Chinese version 'Marry My Dead Body', you just can't help but compare it. That's a fact I can't deny. However, if you take out the comparison, this movie really blends the original version in so well while keeping its identity as a Thai movie. The jokes that were introduced were actually really funny, especially when you understand what they meant. The play-on-words joke and the inside joke were fantastic. I have to praise PP and Billkin for portraying it so well; they really create another version of the main leads. The OSTs were fire as well, but as we all know, Thai OSTs in movies are always fire. I saw that it's now on Netflix; give it a try; I'm sure you'll like this version not more or less than the original.

56. Spare Me Your Mercy
Thai Drama - 2024, 8 episodes

57. Love Stuck
Thai Movie - 2024
COMPLETED
Time loop theme movies can be seen anywhere, but somehow this one is different for me. I knew I would love it when I saw that James is the main lead. This movie isn't just another time loop movie, but it's about family, it's about love, and it's about the bond that the family members share. There's a reason that he's going in a loop on New Year's Eve. I love how the storyline plays out so perfectly; it carries the essence of Thai comedy and also the emotional aspects. I rewatched this movie twice, and I want more people to discover this. This piece will make you laugh and cry or even both at the same time. It's a remake of The Map of Tiny Perfect Things, and it's well done.

58. Not Me
Thai Drama - 2021, 14 episodes
COMPLETED
-
59. Same Day with Someone
Thai Movie - 2025
COMPLETED
Time loops will always be my favorite trope. This one seems not to be too different from the others, but it actually does. It's simple but at the same time not as simple as we thought. It made me realize that we really can't avoid the inevitable. Everything that happens has a reason, so just let it happen. We can't change the result if the problem wasn't with us to begin with. I love that the actors are veterans; I miss seeing them on screen. I grew up watching Great and Toey dramas as well as other Channel 3 actors, so seeing them in a movie again really healed that inner child in me. The plot was well written; it made us realize a lot of things in our lives. The love story was also executed well; I love it. Not to mention comedy, Thai movies never disappoint. Please try this; it's so underrated but so good.
