All Time Favourites - DRAMA Edition

PROS:

• Q: How many hearts do you need? Me: YES ✨
• The irl idol plays the teacher, whilst the in-drama idol is played by an actor;
• Loved the CP;
• Loved the OST, especially the Siyeol solo;
• Age gap? More like HEIGHT gap!
  
  

CONS:

• You might get addicted;
• School setting might be boring;
• Some things plot-wise left something to be desired;
• Siyeol had some questionable attitudes + half-a$$ed redemption arc > what's that supposed to mean?;
• Kim Kangmin didn't deliver 100%, especially when crying. It felt a bit stiff, too much acted out. It's a pity, I quite like him otherwise;
• I NEED a S2 where I can watch more about Kyuseong and Juha;

• The premise is weird at best, but hear me out!
• Loved the CP;
• Loved the OST, especially the ending;

• You might get addicted
• School setting might be boring;
• Some things plot-wise left something to be desired;
• Both ML had some questionable attitudes + half-a$$ed redemption arc;
• WTF is wrong with Guan Riqing;
• The premise might be too much for some people

• Realistic portrayal of depression and mental health related issues;
• The CP is so much healthy that I'm crying;
• Jihyeon is the Amazonian green forest;

• You might get addicted (where might is just a synonym for OFC)
• Editing style&choices weren't always on point imho: narration felt butchered at times;
• The past of Seo Jaewon wasn't really explored > not a major con for me;
• The story didn't really need the 2nd FL being clingy AF > We could've survived even without her character

• I'm so into the height difference trope;
• Thank you Drama Gods for giving the CP the ability to SPEAK and express themselves;
•  No shame in the ways both MCs got to know, express and understand their feelings and their needs
  
  

CONS:

• Time progression at times got me confused;
• Lack of screen time for the second couple: I would have liked to see more of them;
• Some sub-plots were left behind, leaving me dissatisfied

• The sci-fi sprinkle was just chef's kiss
• Questioning the standard of beauty and challenging the ideal beauty in modern society were much appreciated 
• Lack of self-esteem of Chengcheng and why she got accustomed in using the bangle/filter were portrayed properly
• Tang Qi is basically a green forest
• Cute second couple, even though I wasn't that much invested in them
  
  

CONS:

• Second couple sub-plot made me roll my eyes towards the end of the drama because of a stupid and sloppy writing decision
• The whole bangle-like filter thing went down the drain: so many questions, so little answers 
• Su Chengcheng, portrayed by Li Landi,  being a meh girl is a bit ridiculous. The actress is stunning even when made "uglier". Not sure if it was just because they couldn't find an actress with a more "normal" look, or if it was some kind of expedient to convey the core thought of the drama

PROS:

• Reincarnation/second chance at life tropes are what I live for
• Difficult topics addressed properly 
• Mental illnesses and struggles of the main characters are a major plot point and are addressed properly and with the care they need
• Deukpal/Yiheon are such cuties
• I'm all in for more than a bromance between the gangster turned high schooler and Choi Sekyeong > BL drama Gods, there's work to do for these two actors
• Redemption arc of Hong Jaemin was coherent and believable 
• The gangsters were better Justice Heroes than the society itself (parents, police, prosecution...)

• No BL (jk, kinda)
• NOT a no-tissue drama > be prepared
• Topics mentioned throughout the story might be too much for sensitive people

• Short but addictive;
• The main characters are realistically portrayed;
• Acting and music blend like magic
  
  

CONS:

• The finale might dissatisfy some viewers.

• Q: How many hearts do you need? Me: YES ✨
• Scriptwriters did their job: plot is doing what it has to do
• Ding Yuxi and Yu Shuxi just are too damn cute for my health and their characters are SO ON POINT 
• Every character in the Demon Catcher world is not mono-dimensional: they have personality, motives and feelings > They seem ALIVE 
• Attention to details: especially for the Four Bamboo Masters, costumes are so perfect for them, as in the clothes resemble the person who's wearing them in terms of personality traits
  
  

CONS:

• Plot wise it's just the same thing going on for years in Chinese Dramaland, but at least here makes sense
• Ending might seem a bit off or slightly disappointing: I just have a minor issue with the last few minutes, as I think it could have been better.

• The N years later for a first wasn't useless, but functional to the plot

• I couldn't find any, BUT if you insist: the story ends
• 14 mins per episode are surreal: they end far too quickly

• Both leads had off the charts chemistry
• No major plot holes: (almost) everything was addressed properly

• VFX department felt a bit cheap, but the drama wasn't high budget

• Timeline might be confusing > not linear 
• Ending might be disappointing for some viewers

• Refreshing due to the setting in the cosmetic world

• A few times Mamiya didn't actually acted according to the "respect" part. Worth mentioning because IRL would be a NO for people with a functioning brain
• Workplace story might be a little boring
