Dramas With Break Up/ Misunderstanding/Long Separation

The couple had so much separation and angst here before they could get their happy ending. ML became an emperor, and had a political marriage with another woman even though he loved the FL, and he even had children with his wife. He had at one time had to force the FL to the palace to be his concubine just to keep her. He later dethroned his empress wife and made the FL into his empress. I kind of felt sorry for his other wife, he did not treat her well all because he was only obsessed and in love with the FL. I think she became scheming against the FL even more because of the way the ML did not even hide how much he favored the FL, even treating his children with the FL as his favorites just because he loved their mother. The ML was flawed and selfish, but he did love the FL the most in this story and clung on to her even though he knew the FL will suffer and get targeted by others by staying at the emperor’s side. She ran away from him several times but he still managed to come after her and persuade her to return to him. 

This is still a good drama to watch if you can get past the break up.

This is still worth watching even with a break up. The ending is wonderful.

Too much angst plus there is break up

Open ending, FL did not end up with anyone. It’s centered on her life journey so it’s not romance-centered.

This still has a great happy ending even with the break up.

Cunning FL, no wonder despite the harem power struggles and on/off relationship with the emperor (ML), she ended up being his favored and beloved concubine.  It’s sad that the other ML died trying to look for a cure to save her life. No one can doubt his love for her but his noble idiocy cost him to lose her in this lifetime. So I think this is a drama with 2 MLs. 

They separated in the last episode, then met again in the modern times but it didn’t feel real, and the ending is weird. FL woke up while she was in a movie set and she was identified as a kiss instructor there. It felt like she just dreamed the whole drama…

I don’t think the break up was really that long but it still took a few episodes before you can see them back together again.

I liked this drama a lot, and the break up was brief.

ML basically kept his wife (FL) in the dark about his plan to lure out the enemies by pretending to kill her family and imprison her for treason just so he could put a convincing act. Great chemistry between the leads, though I’m surprised the FL did not make the ML grovel for forgiveness first. Happy ending.

ML is an emperor and though they loved each other, the ML cannot keep the free-spirited FL in the palace because he knows she’s happier and will have more freedom outside the palace in the long run, and he cannot abandon his duties and responsibilities immediately. They separated and met again after several years, when the ML can finally abdicate his throne to his son and went in search of the FL.

They divorced, then got back together again later on.

Main leads broke up, FL was pregnant and miscarried. But they eventually got back together, got engaged, then got married. ML who was a South Korean king went to North Korea where the FL lived to get her back. Couple had a happy ending after overcoming challenges including the FL being kidnapped by the villains.

FL died…

• I started watching and got hooked  into it already. FL is awesome and powerful. ML is powerful, too. She’s from the Demon realm and he’s from the Immortal realm.
• I’m in episode 13. I can see the beginnings of possessiveness in the ML, and there’s already chemistry when both FL and ML were sparring in the FL’s military camp.
•  I’ve finished episode 21 already and never got bored so far. I love that the FL is strong, powerful, and cannot be bullied easily by anybody. The ML is more powerful but has a calmer demeanor because he is an ancient god.
•  it is getting exciting in episodes 23 and 24. I don’t want to spoil it too much so I can only say that wow, once the usually cold, calm, serene ML lost all control and reason, he could defy and disregard anything and everything for his love.
• I know there will be sad, difficult scenes but this is still a show worth watching in my opinion. There is also a SML but I kind of feel sorry for him. 
• They’re finally together in episode 31 but now I’m wondering what’s going to happen next since it’s forbidden for them to be together.
• Episode 32 is where FL tries to leave, then ML turned Yandere and imprisoned her in his palace. 
• Finally, the sad scene we’re expecting after all hell broke loose was in episode 38. But thankfully, it turned happy again in the same episode, so it’s all good. There was never any boring part, I like that this two main leads are such a power couple literally and figuratively.
• I finally finished the drama and it is definitely stellar. It’s not perfect but it’s still quite good. I hope those who watch this show will enjoy it as much as I did!

Sure, there were temporary separations when FL “died”, and again when ML “died”, but this drama is still binge-worthy and the main couple had a very happy ending.

Ep 23= Main leads got together after confessing their feelings, ML agreed to be the FL’s secret lover since she didn’t want to marry anyone. ML swore that he will not marry anyone else either but will accompany the FL for life.
Ep 28= ML left the FL because he was ill and dying.
Ep 29= FL went after the ML and he chased her away but she refused to leave. They got back together again and ML also got cured from his illness.
Ep 40= main leads got married. Happy ending.

Main couple got together in episode 20, broke up in episode 26 and got back together in episode 29.

FL died…

Angsty drama…

They broke up, ML had mental issues and had to go for treatment before they could get back together again.

Grim and tragic ending….

ML is wishy washy and indecisive.
