Favorite version of the story

Balls to the wall show, yes it does have very intense moments but for the most part it's Ouja's actor going as crazy as Jim Carrey on The Mask

Really touching final episode which has me split between it and 44 (which gets a phenomenal shoutout in Ultraman Gaia) as my favorite episode, really loved the contrast with Dan and Anne's scene from Ultraseven, since here it was them never seeing each other multiple times throught the episode and how Kyotaro is going to have to live as a warrior, having only this one moment for himself. Must recomend

Felt quite liberating in a sense to watch this show with a lack of dialogue and editing just used for emphasis of some of the attacks

Unmatched and hard to reproduce

Very simlar to Garo and Kuuga, with some horror VN elements

Not really atached to any of the characters but a great exploration of delinquent youths and the system dealing with them

Fascinating atmosphere and sensation of powerlesness with how vague every episode ends as

Great-Z improved the show a lot and episode 10 got me teary eyed

Despite how much they had to rearrange and change for 10 episodes the emotion landed for me

People tend to exagerate with these shows being repetitive but Zubat takes the cake and yet Miyauchi's charisma is off the charts here

Really liked the premise of a kid having no other choice but to fight alongside an unknown robot, halfway through the show changes to a lighter tone but it wasn't a deal breaker. It was also interesting to see an AI who fights for humanity not because it necessarily sees the best in us, but because it holds us accountable for the planet's state, which is contrasted against the antagonist which is an AI that sees itself as the sole savior of humankind and is full of itself

While diferent, the episodic structure led to some fun and interesting scenarios and all the characters are super charming

Not as good as Nice Buddy, but the new cast was quite endearing and Mako was a joy the whole way through 

Very neat hero story, also helped that all important characters are played by toku heroes so they know how to get your inner 7 year old pumped

Liked the more comedic tone and how it factored into the villains and the final act, despite being shortened due to the cancellation of the franchise, best entry in TOHO's Star God trilogy

Quite an impressive show that balances a large cast and some stand out meach fights

Good return to Tsuburaya's earlier works hampered by the 70's henshin boom preferences by the second half despite some attempts at experimentation

Kind of a mess but short and fun

It grew on me by the end

More enjoyable on a rewatch plus Naoto taking on Gridman's selfless traits as it progresses the same way Yuta and Tomoki take elements from him and Dynadragon ties back on the hero's likeness being something of childish imagination as an in universe origin

While Ichiro's sanding of his rougher edges doesn't work as well as Jiro for live action, everything related to Bijinder was good stuff + the more out there scenarios made it a fun time (also helped that the story doesn't end as bitterly as the manga, just glad to see them as happy as they could be)

Pretty creative usage of props and visual effects for the ESP powers

Pretty fun, sadly the jabronis taking so much screentime to the point of sitting at the Murakami's table felt tiring compared to the rest of the family, detective Honda or Arai Reiko, specially Poitrine's surreal delivery of her gags

Fun show and the characters were charming enough, one thing that wowed was the deviation from bipedal enemies for the Ultraman knock off to fight, as well as the techniques and special effect that, while not being as good as what Tsupro was doing at the time, it was still quite ambitious

Fun cast but not as good looking as Tsuburaya's other outings

It didn't have the novelty of handling a LARGE cast like Gransazer did and the Ultraman style of directing wasn't present

Pretty fun, though kinda dragged at places and the finale hit in part to the tears and also for what happened to the actress

Shinjo has a way larger role than Shiba but if it means more Taki I'm fine with that, otherwise it's fine enough compared to the manga

Proto Denziman with lots of props, sets and costumes reused by Toei in the 80's

Had no idea what was going on even harder

It didn't go into the abstract like a Jissoji episode would, but I also didn't have history with the artist the show was celebrating

Had a few laughs, Yamashiron is a very good boy

Loveable lead with some really touching episodes, tho most of the time it can get very boring and the big mecha action is the embodiment of stock footage

It came and went

Very uninteresting with bland camera angles + the more grounded fights made the action scenes a drag despite how short they were
