1. Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!
Japanese Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
adorable, fun. although a simple premise we're all accustomed to, its simplicity is one of its charms.
-
2. My Love Mix-Up!
Japanese Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
lighthearted fun. love all the twists and turns. well-acted and the main couple's conflicts are highly relatable to me. a must-watch.
-
3. Life: Love on the Line
Japanese Drama - 2020, 4 episodes
turbulent but a well-made movie. a realistic approach to falling in love so young and the struggle of containing it as we grow older.
-
4. The Cornered Mouse Dreams of Cheese
Japanese Movie - 2020
mature and tragic reality. a breath of harsh winter air among the lighthearted displays of the same genre.
-
5. A Man Who Defies the World of BL
Japanese Special - 2021, 1 episode
cried laughing while watching this. points out a lot of ridiculous tropes in bl. one of my faves. but that ending was underwhelming in my opinon.
-
6. His: I Didn't Think I Would Fall in Love
Japanese Drama - 2019, 5 episodes
filled with romantic ambiance with a satisfying ending.
-
7. Great Men Academy
Thai Drama - 2019, 8 episodes
this series is full of chemistry. seemed to be a lighthearted watch but there are a ton of dramatic moments that had me pacing my kitchen. didn't regret checking this series out!
-
8. Takara-kun & Amagi-kun
Japanese Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
a favorite of mine. a sweet and simple high school romance. so wholesome and cute! if you want a feel-good series, this one's it.
-
9. Semantic Error
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
SO ADORABLE. the chemistry between the main leads is pheomenal and the overall message of falling in love, despite the concept being foreign to some, is a feeling that's undeniable.
-
10. Minato's Laundromat
Japanese Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
a sweet series with a lot of cute moments. was not expecting it to be drama-packed and eventful but all the dynamics, fortunately, work for the better in one entertaining fluffy package.
-
11. Candy Color Paradox
Japanese Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
a little awkward during the beginning but found its footing in the end, making it one of the best i've watched. if you enjoy lighthearted romantic dramas (that's unfortunately really short) this one's up there (though be warned, there is SA involved that caught me off guard)
-
12. I Cannot Reach You
Japanese Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
started intensely but that feeling throughout the short series didn't waver. amazing ambiance and i'm especially impressed by the actors' conveying strong desire as well as the uncertainty when it comes to love.
