Die Xian (碟仙)

Die Xian , a method of divination, is widely spread in the Chinese world. The method of proceeding is similar to that of Ouija boards in Europe and America . 

Die Xian is a fairy that lives on a dish. This fairy may be on the plate or not, so we need to use our thoughts to invite it out. When the fairy is attached to the plate, the plate will move by itself and answer your questions. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It should be judged according to the character and temper of this fairy. Therefore, sincerity leads to spirit. Of course, if your thoughts are miscellaneous and impure, you may not invite gods, but ghosts, so you must not talk nonsense when you invite.
