1. When the Phone Rings
Korean Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
this might be less than 8/10 but for now I feel like it's an 8. I wouldn't say this is without flaws. the political narative was so unnecesseary, why did they do that? I had some problems with the charatcters as some of them and their releationships lacked depth. also this is rated 13+ which I feel is a con of the drama, because we could have had sexy, hot, mature and a little bit toxic (at least at the start) and intense romance (it was intense, but imagine what we could have had).
what I liked was Yoo Yeon Seok's and Chae Soo Bin's chemistry, acting, the OST song "See the Light" and the pace of the drama. it's very bingebale and fast paced.
overall, a decent palette cleanser type of drama.

2. Nevertheless: The Shapes of Love
Japanese Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
this might also be less than 8/10. I haven't seen the original korean version so I can't compare it to anything. the main thing is that this was too short for me. the episodes are around 30 minutes each and I just couldn't fully connect to the story or the charatcters. I needed more.
the main thing I like about this is very self-explanatory - Ryusei Yokohama (idc no shame). he just has this amazing aura that captivates you :) I also liked the editing and the whole vibe of this drama. the acting was good and I also liked the ending of this drama.
overall, watch this at your own risk (you might fall in love).
