Shows I Watched: October 2025
-
1. Fated Hearts
Chinese Drama - 2025, 38 episodes
Status: Dropped
Episode: 15/38
- I just did not like the overall style of the drama.
- It definitely looked like a set.
- I do not feel the chemistry.
-
2. My Sassy Wedding
Thai Drama - 2025, 20 episodes
Status: Dropped
Episode: 12/20
- It's very draggy, too many other characters/sides are involved, and nonsensical plot elements like dark magic. It would be fine if they just stuck with simple politics as the main conflict of the story.
- Unfortunately, the chemistry was not enough, as there aren't many romantic moments to compensate for the messy plot and bad dialogue.
- And the second couple is not helping the plot either.
-
3. Would You Marry Me?
Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
Status: dropped
Episode: 6/12
- It's okay. I feel like the actor's portrayal and chemistry will be the factor that brings the drama to the next level, but the chemistry is just okay. Maybe it's because it's kind of my least favorite tropes....
- I like the second couple better. I think I like the pace of the development of the romance much better. But they don't have enough screen time to make me stick to the drama.
- I do not like the FL ex... he sucks ass. The character is trash, even though the actor is adorable; he could not soften the blow of how awful that man is.
-
4. Nang Ai
Thai Drama - 2016, 15 episodes
Status: Completed
- I was concerned because the FL is a high schooler and the ML is an adult. But the romance did not start until the last 4 episodes.
- I feel like there was good character growth among characters. But then the FL bff becomes very selfish. It did not feel out of character, but for all they went through, I was hoping for more understanding, bff.
- I watched this because of Great. He was swoon-worthy. I can't believe how he aged like fine wine, much sexier and exuding more aura.
-
5. Rak Nee Hua Jai Rao Jong
Thai Drama - 2007, 20 episodes
Status: Completed
- The chemistry was fire. Janie and Ken, just wow. I think Ken is the better actor; he makes every character he portrays human. And I really like Janie's screen presence; she definitely has the romantic FL energy.
- The characters can get annoying, they fight like cats and dogs, rolling on the ground, wrestling each other, it feels very immature at like, but when the romance kicked in, I squealed, especially the pond scene where they kissed, but they acted like nothing happened.
- I liked the story and direction of Neung Nai Suang, but this was a more fun and romantic watch. I think they have one of the best chemistries in Thai dramaland. I know Ken is known more for his pairing with Anne, but I like him and Janie better.
-
6. Kol Ruk Luang Jai
Thai Drama - 2011, 16 episodes
Status: Completed
- I felt like the drama was going in circles and repeating the problems that the two leads felt.
- The ML character was eh. But it was played by Ken, so.... But I really did feel for him when he was confronted with his mother's debt.
- The FL also has other motivations other than the ML. I know by the end we see that she works and is very capable at her job, but it was too late for me to feel like she is her own person.
- The plot wasn't as engaging as I thought it would be. But the chemistry between Ken and Janie keeps your attention. I think the peak of their chemistry and acting was their "final breakup." OMG, Ken, what a man you are!
- I don't get the sudden switch-up of our FL ex-fiancé. Also, for the FL brother, they became hopeless, faithful, hopeless romantics once they met the love of their life.
- I appreciate how quickly they were able to gather 50 million to pay off their debts. And when they misunderstood that the FL and her brother were cheating on them, they acted like they weren't indebted to them. Like gosh, where is the sense of shame...
- The mother of the ML, not as evil as other mothers, but annoying, opportunistic AF
- I love the FL parents, though.
-
7. Dao Kiao Duen
Thai Drama - 2013, 11 episodes
Status: Completed
- I like Janie, what can I say? She may not be a Great actress, but she is so charming...
- I like how the romance developed. It felt so organic.
- I really liked the ML. He was good in Thara Himalaya.
- The chemistry was great! I really loved them together!!!!!
- I really hate the antagonists, like leave our girl alone please!!!!!!!
- There are some weird editing and effects. Like watching it makes it so dated.
- In the last few episodes, they mention the word sperm a lot. And I can't take the scene seriously.
-
8. Royal Doctor
Thai Drama - 2023, 22 episodes
Status: Completed
- I really liked it.
- IDK how accurate the medical stuff is, I skipped most of it.
- I like the ML character. And this is my first Mario drama. I only watched films by him, which were Crazy Little Thing Called Love and Suddenly It's Magic. I like how he portrayed the character.
- I like Kim. But I wish her character were more knowledgeable and fought to learn medicine with the boys; I wish her character had taken more action.
-
9. Thara Himalai
Thai Drama - 2010, 9 episodes
Status: Completed
- I loved the chemistry. I did not research the age difference of the actors. But Kim did not give underage vibes.
- This was far more romantic than the other one I watched in the series. Because it involved a Prince, and the Prince was played by Aum. It had the fantasy element to it.
- I like how they balanced each other out.
- I wished they had given a much more logical reason why the FL feels hesitant to pursue a relationship with the ML, like her job, her family. She has so much to fight for and hold on to.
- Liked the brothers; they are the comic relief. But I don't think I would enjoy their romance....
-
10. Duang Jai Akkanee
Thai Drama - 2010, 10 episodes
Status: Completed
- This is my first Yaya and Nadech film (other than Crown Princess, but it doesn't count because I don't remember), and their chemistry!!!!!!!
- But the chemistry is the only thing that carries the drama. On paper, the Romeo and Juliet plot would be nice, but it got so unrealistic when they started pulling out guns. Are you legally allowed to own guns in Thailand?
- And I like that the brother who helped the couple in the Thara Himalaya is the same brother who is the first to know and help the couple. I liked how he is the reliable brother.
- But I don't think I'm going the watch the rest of the series. I read the plot, but wasn't impressed.
-
11. Tempest
Korean Drama - 2025, 9 episodes
Status: Completed
- This was such a disappointment.
- I wish the romance were more subtle. I wish it gave a more mature, sexy, and yearning. Like, "there are more I like you, but there are much more important things to do" couple...
- The leads were beautiful, but man, they lacked the buildup in their romance. They give a reason why they are falling in love, but I don't feel it. I shipped the deceased husband and the FL much more. They feel more real....
- And why do they have to make the husband a cheater? I marinated on that plot for quite some time, and still, why do you have to do him like that? He is dead and was killed by his own mother.
- Did not like the brother's character switch. There was not enough time; it was such a last-minute decision.
- I feel like if they simplified the political aspect, this would have worked... or toned down the romance as I have mentioned before, because I can't concentrate. One aspect is distracting me.
-
12. Confidence Queen
Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
Status: Completed
- This drama was so much fun. especially with James. I think the actor had the time of his life playing this character.
- I think they used the laziest and common twist and ending. I knew your plan all along, but we played along because we needed a video confession and catch you in the act...
-
13. Romantics Anonymous
Japanese Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
Status: Completed
- This is how you do a rom-com within 8 episodes. Just feel good light but with substance romance!
- There is nothing new in this drama, but it was done very well.
- They give characters motivation outside of romance, which makes them feel more real.
- Han Hyo Joo just gives off romantic female lead energy! She is so pretty, and that is why they dressed her down and did not give her the "romantic female lead" makeup. And it doesn't make sense that she is dressed up and beautified because of her character setup. So I understand. But still... At least make her get rid of the bangs and a better wedding dress.... I felt like she was trying the Japanese acting, and it felt forced sometimes.
- Oguri Shun should do more rom-coms. He is just so goooood! In a suit, with that cold, picky CEO exterior, but a big softie inside. It's an overused character (and even for him as an actor, he did Rich Man, Poor Woman) in dramaland, but he makes it feel fresh and new and real.
- I did not care that much for the second lead couple...
- I know that this is Akanishi Jin's comeback, but I feel like he was treading on a dangerous line in his portrayal. I felt that he was a little bit too much, greasy or oily, in some scenes.
- But the ending! Song Joong Ki and Sakaguchi Kentaro (I know his reputation is damaged because of the cheating scandal), but what was that! It's giving BL a spin-off that they are never going to give us.
- This proves that Japan can do the romance genre without the weird plot elements and can do more than a 20-minute live-action adaptation of a cringey no-depth anime.
-
14. A Hundred Memories
Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
Status: Completed
- I did not like it.
- It was fun during the bus attendant era, except for the fact that there was a dissonance between the lead ML and the rest of the cast because he didn't look or feel like a high schooler.
- It doesn't feel like it reached its potential with its main topic, which was the friendship between the two female leads, especially with it coming out in the same year as You and Everything Else (I only watched parts with Lee Sang Yoon; I have been craving for this man) and compared to the little parts I have seen of that drama and the how they portrayed the love traingle. The depths of female friendship, envy, and rivalry were not explored well. I wish that we spent more time at the beauty pageant boot camp to do a more detailed storytelling.
- I did not understand the quick switch-up of Shin Ye Eun's brother, so last-minute.
- I also thought that Shin Ye Eun's character toward her adoptive mom when the mom did everything to "protect her", no matter how bad it was, I thought she would be happy that there was someone who would kill for her.
- I only liked Kim Jung Hyun's character.
- It was a waste of a good cast.
-
15. Shin's Project
Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
Status: Completed
- I think the cast really made the drama work and special.
- Love the love story between the employees.
- I like that episode 12 served as an epilogue episode.
- I think they confirmed that season 2 is in the works.
-
16. To the Moon
Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
Status: Completed
-
17. Crime Scene Zero
Korean TV Show - 2025, 10 episodes
Status: Completed
- The scale was bigger, which I love.
- I love the chemistry between the cast.
- I loved that the guest added more to the chaotic energy of the cast.
- More seasons please!
-
18. Miss King
Japanese Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
Status: Currently Watching
- I love the revenge plot.
- I love the dark aesthetic.
- I love Non in a suit.
- It just holds my attention without skipping too much.
- I Fuji Naohito is so fine (I wish he would romance)
- I wish it were more than 30 per episode.
-
19. Passing the Reins
Japanese Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
Status: Currently Watching
- I like how warm and passionate the drama is. Because I thought it would be filled with suspense and makjang.
- I liked how cinematic they shot this drama.
- Love the relationship between our chairman and the accountant.
