All Dramas I've Watched in 2026 Ranked
Ranking all the new* dramas I've watched in 2026 based on my preference.
*First time watched dramas only. Rewatched dramas are not included.
Note: Drama score =/= ranking. I rank purely on which drama I liked better. Scoring has it's own technical criteria

1. Love between Lines
Chinese Drama - 2026, 28 episodes
I love dramas that take me by surprise in multiple aspects. Nothing new when it comes to contemporary/modern romance dramas, but Love Between LInes makes it stand out in its execution. It's a drama done right if I do say so myself.
It's very rare for me to not skip a few seconds in any drama but LBL never had me wanting to fast forwards throughout all episodes.

2. Yumi's Cells Season 3
Korean Drama - 2026, 8 episodes
The emotional attachment I had with this whole drama is unbelievable. Soonrok-shi has been my favorite since the webtoon was ongoing, so it's simple to say that this was my most anticipated season since season 1 came out. But, all that bias aside, this was genuinely a very satisfying season that cleanly wrapped up the whole series.
Many people kept saying that the feelings came out of nowhere, but people fail to understand that love doesn't have to have all the bells and whistles that make you feel fireworks every other day. Some just sneak up on you or come randomly knocking at your door one day, and poof, they're the one.

3. Daily Dose of Sunshine
Korean Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
One of the few dramas I regret putting off for yearsssss. This is how you show mental disorders on screen and help the audience understand the realities of mental health in society. Other than the psych aspect, the acting and plot were done splendidly.
As a psychology major, this has a special place in my heart.

4. How Dare You!?
Chinese Drama - 2026, 32 episodes
One of the most, if not the most, cleanly finished historical/costume dramas I have ever watched. How dare this drama charmingly convince me that this was the best one I've watched this year so far when Blossom and LitC exist right before it? What brought it above the rest of the other similar dramas I've watched was really the characters and the overall satisfaction I got after watching it. I wanted more, but at the same time, I was very content with the drama as a whole, so I'm just happy that I got to watch it. WCR and CL were amazing throughout the drama, and I'm glad the casting director got them both.
How am I even supposed to watch any Chinese Drama after HDY and LBL??? I can't believe 2026 gave us two absolutely beautiful dramas with amazing stories, characters, and actors. This year is definitely the year of CDramas, and I'm here to enjoy it all.

5. Blossom
Chinese Drama - 2024, 34 episodes
Starting the year off with an amazing drama and I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing. A rare gem of a historical drama that wouldn't let me put it down the moment I started watching. The chemistry and understanding between our two leads was just beautiful and convinced me to watch more from the genre.
I usually get bored when it came to the politics of these types of dramas but Blossom had a very good balance between the romance, politics, family drama, and angst that I had a blast watching it for 3 days lmao
Genuinely and technically better drama than HDY, but HDY just connected with me better as an avid manhua and webtoon reader. Blossom still takes the cake for its beautiful characters, plot, and cinematography.

6. When I Fly Towards You
Chinese Drama - 2023, 24 episodes
THE highschool romance everyone should watch if they want a cozy and warm hug. One of the cutest yet also very beautiful Chinese dramas I was fortunate enough to watch. Nothing out of the ordinary, and not the absolute best acting, but it's such a lighthearted drama that captures youth, romance, and life so well that you just can't put it down.
If you're in doubt, this is your signal to watch WIFTY now. Truly one of the best, if not the best, youth CDrama.

7. Love in the Clouds
Chinese Drama - 2025, 36 episodes
I am really starting to regret watching good drama after good drama this year so far because I know it'll only go down or stagnant from there. I had my reservations in watching another Xianxia after WDBTD coz I thought that drama would finally convince me to watch xianxias, but little did I know, LitC was the answer all along.
Our main leads' chemistry was off the charts (same goes for all LYX dramas to be fair) and the plot had such good intrigue, mystery, and intensity that I just wanted to keep going even though I was on the verge of tears multiple times. Overall very VERY good drama and a good starting xianxia.

8. Love Story in the 1970s
Chinese Drama - 2026, 29 episodes
Beautiful. Currently, the best 1900s period drama I have watched. Love in the 1970s just checked almost everything I look for in a drama (it mostly fell short with the OST and the acting of some supporting characters), and I absolutely loved our leads. Arthur Chen just hits different as an actor as always, and I absolutely loved the story of our second couple.

9. Blossoms in Adversity
Chinese Drama - 2024, 40 episodes
Can't believe I almost missed this gem of a drama. This gave me what I couldn't get in New Life Begins, which I found too childish. I also absolutely loved the women in the story and how the drama as a whole balanced the characters' gray areas of morality.
The thing that I'm most peeved about in the drama was how they tried to squeeze in more conflicts in the end (though the conflicts were actually good), but ultimately failed to capture the audience because they were not able to pace it properly.

10. Pursuit of Jade
Chinese Drama - 2026, 40 episodes
I wouldn't say it's overrated, but it's also not the best either. I definitely understand the hype coz I think it has some of the best characters in historical drama ever, but ultimately falls short with the limited number of episodes that greatly constrict the plot and change in pacing near the end.
The acting of our leads was phenomenal, by the way, and all four main leads had my eyes glued to the screen whenever they were on. To be honest, though, QiMin and QianQian's complexity as characters had me wanting more. Not like in a romantic way, ofc, but I found their plot really interesting as it's not often seen in dramas as openly as PoJ had.

11. The Double
Chinese Drama - 2024, 40 episodes
Great drama, but the academy arc and how FL got away with a lot of things was a bit too much for my realistic self. The ending wasn't as terrible as people made it seem. I also just read the novel ending to make myself feel better lmao.
Overall, v good acting from our leads and great cinematography. The chemistry was also nail-biting which had me on edge most of the time. My biggest bone to pick would have to be the ost because it often took me out of some scenes.

12. Love to Hate You
Korean Drama - 2023, 10 episodes
Definitely regret putting off watching this drama for years. I almost missed a proper adult romcom with mature af leads that knew what to do and what they were getting into. Sizzling chemistry and a very rewatchable plot that I adore.
Don't agree with the bad comments about the 2nd couple coz they also had good chemistry. People just can't seem to get the fact that romance doesn't always have to have fireworks.

13. Shine on Me
Chinese Drama - 2025, 36 episodes
It's another comfort watch type of drama where the main conflict in the story is family and the initial hesitance of our leads to get together. I guess that's all the drama one can really get when both leads are actually rich and secure in their lives LOL.
Overall very well executed drama that I can rewatch when I'm in the mood for a chill romance.
-
14. Boyfriend on Demand
Korean Drama - 2026, 10 episodes
The drama that had the concept to make it great, but ultimately falls short with its writing and pacing. It's not bad (hence the 8), and I would recommend it as a casual watch, but don't expect a very good drama. It's really fun and SIG in a romance after years is a definite plus, but it's just average.
It scored an 8 because the concept truly had so much potential, and I wish they would come up with more stories based on the BoD concept as a whole. V interesting situations and plots come from the game's concept alone.

15. The Winning Try
Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
I wanted to like this drama sooooo bad because I'm an absolute sucker for sports dramas. But when the plot suddenly wanted to focus on the politicking of the shooting team, I really lost interest and wanted the drama to be over with. Could use more actual sports problems other than external admin and politics from assholes that know nothing about sports.
-
16. Spring Fever
Korean Drama - 2026, 12 episodes
Spring Fever stayed mid throughout its run. That's all I can say. I'm glad that it served us a decent romcom after months of drought, but it's nothing new and surprising. The acting does become questionable at times, but it's ultimately a no-brainer, casual watch that you can have fun with.

17. Dynamite Kiss
Korean Drama - 2025, 14 episodes
While watching I kept convincing myself that maybe it really was just the ending that was the problem, but when we actually started to lose the plot from the beginning, I was just confused with it all. Yes, there is AMAZING chemistry between our leads, but a drama can only go so far with that when the rest of it is a bundled mess.
