Chinese Mermaid "Jiaoren" | 鲛人

Also known as: quanxian (泉先), quanke (泉客)

Characteristics:
- Cannot use magic and not immortal.
- Skilled at weaving. Can make clothing called jiaoxiao which never gets wet.
- Tears turn into pearls.
- Bodily oils can light candles for ten thousands of years, often used to create Eternal Fire (长明灯).
- Scales can cure all diseases and prolong life.
- Hair like a horse's tail, and white skin like jade without scales.
- Mermans are hideous and like to kidnap female humans for mating.
