- because the rest aired when I was still on ep 11, and I've skipped through some of the rest while editing and I've seen the ending, I've started to lose interest in it.. and I miss watching OB.. idk if I even wanna finish it, this always happens.. I like a drama but then halfway through I lose interest..

dropped it during ep 20: 22nd march 2026 (I hadn't been watching it much anymore and it was getting dark and fl was "stronger" than the ml even though he's supposed to be a great general.. ok..and I also don't think it's worth it to spend all that time on it, because time is money people T_T)

- I just hope there won't be an imbalance in their dynamic (regarding the female lead seeming overpowered compared to the ml..)

- school president and grand princess first interract in ep 11
- by monday the 16th march, I had eps 16-24 to watch, since I took time off of dramas some days at a time
- I was really interested in this drama for the first 15 eps, then I lost a bit of interest somehow..
- in regards to their romantic buildup before separating: were they really that in love with each other yet?                                                                                                                                                                                                          - why were they at war? who were they at war with?
- during the never ending winter in the village the visuals were at their best, for me at least..

2026:

- not really a fan of jo hyun jae, but I like dramas set in pre-joseon era

- I saw the ending before I started the drama..

- seon hwa is the best female character in this drama, and I like her better than the male lead even

- nice music

thoughts while watching:

- mok ra soo is the best character in the drama, poor guy T_T

- mok ra soo & yeon ga mo are the real doomed romance!

- into ep 3 & ml is unlikeable lol (but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt as he is still a kid)

- I watched the first 10 eps while playing hay day on my phone occasionally, i don't want to though..

- it's nice that the romance is established very early on

- I wish they would've cast ji sung as seo dong..

- kim do ham is such a snake.. (now he is from silla, but his actions aren't in the main character's best interests)

- at ep 14 they try to elope already.. what's the rest of the drama gonna be

- lovers separated at ep 15

- although jo hyun jae an actor I favour, he does grow on you

- ki ru/do ham is a more interesting character than the ml, but he's a snake!

- also do ham becomes every 2000s sml ever around ep 21

- that guy from tamra the island (fl's guard) is fine hehe

- seo dong lacks depth to his character.. I think it's the acting too, but his character is a bit too one-sided..

- do ham is guilt-tripping everyone!

- after finishing ep 23, I didn't watch for a few days.. (they have been apart for so long, I understand it's for character growth and don't mind it, but for me it's been almost 2 weeks that they've been apart! I can't imagine watching this while it airs!)

- ep 24: is it too harsh to be comparing ml's acting to gal gadot T_T looks he's not so bad, but he lacks depth

- seon hwa and mokra soo are carrying this show on their backs

- at ep 25, I considered dropping it

- going from jdramas to kdramas you notice how over the top kdramas can be.. 5 mins into this drama and I already missed the calmness of nagareboshi..

- ep 1 was okay (I wasn't paying full attention..) it didn't hook me, but I'll keep watching

- fl seems like a kim hang ah type

- the fashion is outdated lol

- ep 1 was done well!

• the music is good!

- verdict after 4 eps: it has divination and FL may be using a voodoo doll.. if it becomes a main part of the plot, I may have to say bye bye..

- on sunday 14th june night, I had 6 episodes to catch up on (eps 9-14)

- 'tis wednesday already and I'm still on ep 9, I think the teasers made me less interested and I'm more focused on watching never twice

- 19th june: I have not watched this faithfully for a week now

I was planning on skipping it, but avenuex's review changed my mind, it seems like a slice of life type of drama, like love story in the 1970s

- so after 7 eps: sure they liked each other, but I don't think they were so in love with each other in the past, that after the time jump, they are still thinking about each other every day..

- after ep 7 i had to wait for an episode a day..

- why does she still allow that eka dude to lurk around T_T

- ake is so slimy O_o and annoying (and he's such a one dimensional character

- almost a third way in and I'm still waiting for the romance..lol

❖ THOUGHTS WHILE WATCHING IN 2026:

- ep 6: he sees her at the lantern festival and saves her during the fire

- ep 7: he glances at her in a carriage (the lighting on his face looks nice)

- I have to give this 8 episodes to get hooked in I'm told

- I feel like these episodes go back quickly but not much really happens (ep 7)

- I do think her mom loves her but doesn't know how to show it, they've lived apart for so long so they are more like strangers.. this doesn't excuse her cold behaviour towards her daughter though, but there is a reason behind it..

- affter episode 9 they actually start talking to each other
