Watchlist - completed in 2025
List of all the titles I completed during 2025
-
1. Squid Game Season 2
Korean Drama - 2024, 7 episodes
A not needed sequel, less thrilling than S1
I would recommend this to people if you have seen the first season of course. I think this season 2 is beneath season 1 but it seems also to be just an introduction to season 3 which I hope will be reaping the benefits of all what's established by the season 2. The production value is still very impressive, there are some ups and downs in terms of writing with less effect of surprise and a filler side quest out of the game.
-
2. When the Phone Rings
Korean Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
Hot ML could not save writing crumbling apart and annoying/badly acted FL
I would not recommend this to people as I feel there are better thrilling romance out there. Some of the more steamy scenes are good but all that surround them is clearly not worth it. At first it was entertaining but very quickly it fell apart because of the crazy writing and insipid heroine.
-
3. See Your Love
Taiwanese Drama - 2024, 13 episodes
Loved the main relationship, not so much the over-the-top dramatic storylines & antagonists arc
I would recommend this people looking for a BL with interesting characters growth and great chemistry. It is a bit thin in terms of scenario but at the heart of it there is a romance that I found quite lovely.
-
4. One Piece
Japanese Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
Solid live action adaptation of the introduction arc of a legendary manga
I would recommend this to people looking for a series that will take you on the start of an epic journey. It is a this stage more an introduction of an incredible gallery of characters in an exciting universe. Still, it provides a complete narrative arc satisfactory enough for both the manga readers and total newbies. The series took some shortcuts but respected in overall the source material and even if I would have liked some additional scenes to have been shown, I'm still pretty satisfied of the outcome of this adaptation.
-
5. Our Youth
Japanese Drama - 2024, 10 episodes
Impressive and memorable BL that wrecked my heart and took my breath away in the best way ~~~
I would strongly recommend this stellar and emotional BL to everyone looking for a poetic romance with gut-wrenching storytelling. I wish they had a bit more time to even further develop some elements but it is also because I loved it so much ! Do yourself a favor and don't miss episode 11 who serves as a beautiful epilogue to the story with a strong and important activist point of view ! Far from being preachy, it opens the door in a mindful way to reflection on the place of gay relationship in Japanese society.
-
6. Our Youth: After Story
Japanese Special - 2025, 2 episodes
A beautiful epilogue to the story with a strong and important activist point of view !
I would recommend this to people that have seen the main series. Do yourself a favor and don't miss the epilogue of this amazing and poetic drama.
-
7. Nevertheless: The Shapes of Love
Japanese Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
Impressive cinematography, too short for the romantic relationships to really feel fully fleshed out
I would recommend this to people that are looking for an artsy series more atmospheric than plot-driven. It is beautifully made even if I wish the story in itself felt more complete and written in a more gripping way.
-
8. Spaceless
Thai Movie - 2024
Sweaty hands that wrecked my heart...A brutal and nuanced story
I would recommend this movie to people that are looking for a short emotional story that will leave you with a strong lasting impression. It might wreck you heart but it is worth a shot for the simplicity in which it portrays two characters loving each other albeit somewhat differently.
-
9. Bad Lands
Japanese Movie - 2023
Gripping plot, I wish it went even deeper on characterization for more emotional payoff
I would recommend this to people that are looking for a dark thriller. There is some psychological aspect to it that I really enjoyed but I wish it would have been pushed even further. There are a lot of interesting elements relating to the relationship between the two main roles that could have been elaborated more for deeper emotional payoff. However, it was still a pretty exciting story to follow with a lot of craziness and darkness. I don't think it aims to make us love the protagonists neither to provide a well rounded social critic. But it is in overall pretty entertaining and quite captivating.
-
10. My Stand-In: Uncut
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
Guilty pleasure : highly entertaining despite its flaws
I would recommend this to people that are looking for an exciting and wild BL. There are some bonker elements in the story and it is a very fun ride. I feel the story lost a bit of steam in its last quarter and that acting could have been better for some part. Nevertheless, I have no regret to have watched it : it is a good guilty pleasure show !
-
11. Loan Boy
Korean Movie - 2023
Disappointing...Wasted potential because of weak writing and unclear intention
I would not recommend this movie as I feel the pacing and writing were quite lacking. If you like Yoon Seon Ho and/or Yoo In Soo, it might be worth giving it a shot for them.
-
12. One Last Order
Korean Movie - 2019
Slice-of-life meet-cute at a cafe : not a lot to see
I would not necessarily recommend this to people because I don't think you get out of the watch anything special. It is quite soothing in a way but very mundane as well.
-
13. Koi to Dangan
Japanese Drama - 2022, 9 episodes
A trashy drama : flawed and repetitive, in the guilty pleasures realm
I would not recommend this to people unless you are looking for a mindless trashy short drama. And sometimes, there is nothing wrong at watching that kind of show, as it can be pretty entertaining and just what you need. Given the (lack of-) quality in the writing and the acting, and the repetitive aspect to the series, I cannot rate it higher but I cannot deny that I had quite a bit of fun watching it.
-
14. Meet Me after School
Japanese Drama - 2018, 11 episodes
Quite captivating despite not being fully onboard with the romance because of writing issues
I would recommend this to people that enjoy taboo and forbidden romance. It is for sure an interesting and captivatingly angsty story. I found the romance lacking on some aspects as I feel the build up lacked convincing background for the respective feelings of both main characters. Despite this big flaw, it is still an entertaining watch that is worth a try.
-
15. Single’s Inferno Season 4
Korean TV Show - 2025, 12 episodes
Just plain : the overall show felt totally empty
I would not recommend this season to people as it was really lackluster. The best cast member had little screen time overall and most of the romances lacked sincerity. I'm not saying that participants should only have pure intention and cannot be there for clout...But there should be at least some sincere romance (with sufficient screentime) for me to really get onboard. Here, at the end, only one couple convinced me and I wish the show would have been even more focus on them. I still will watch a 5th season because it is nice to be able to watch that kind of show when airing to discuss it with people. With the panel comments, that honestly became the best part of the watching experience.
-
16. When It Rains, It Pours
Japanese Drama - 2025, 7 episodes
A story about connection and intimacy : I wish it would have been longer to amp the angst <3
I would recommend this to people that are looking for a BL with a more mature story. The series is not without flaws as I feel the conclusion was a bit too quick and I think an epilogue would allow to better round up the drama. But I truly loved how the characters connected despite being already committed in relationships and how the story focused on the intimacy issues in established couples. I enjoyed the murky and painful aspects of the relationship, but you might want to check the triggers if you have any.
-
17. Study Group
Korean Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
Loved the introduction but lost interest halfway through
I would recommend this to people that are looking for an action / shonen-like story within high school background. If you enjoyed series as The Uncanny Counter, I feel this could be a good series to test out. I had some real good laugh at first and I enjoyed some storylines. I just felt the hero arc was too predictable and remained relatively one-note which reduced my interest in the series as the story progressed.
-
18. The Heart Killers: Uncut
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
Campy rom-com & deeply flawed storytelling: frustrating writing issues despite loving the cast
I would recommend the series mainly for the cast. Despite all the flaws I point out, the biggest being the writing, I still feel it is an entertaining watch. It frustrated me a lot at some point but ended on a right note. It is a bit of a shame that one of the romance felt totally unconvincing for most part of the series despite being played by very good actors with amazing chemistry. I want to scream at the writers/director/editors for that! If you watch it with the right expectations (as a campy light rom-com rather than as a dark story featuring carefully crafted characters), you will enjoy it more for sure.
-
19. Brave Citizen
Korean Movie - 2023
Solid acting, classic story - entertaining overall thanks to the cast performances
I would recommend this to people that are looking for a vigilante story, featuring some teaching moments and action akin to webtoon/anime style fighting scenes. The overall story is classic but very entertaining, supported by strong performances. Be mindful of the tags if you have any triggers, as it is pretty graphic in the violence showcased.
-
20. Love Reset
Korean Movie - 2023
Completely missed the mark in terms of romance & chemistry - disappointing
I would not recommend this rom-com unless you are a fan of one of the cast members. I feel that really the romance was completely lacking with an ending that felt like a cope out. There were some fun scenes that I enjoyed but some comedic aspects felt also strange in the context of the story.
-
21. Secret Relationships
Korean Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
Interesting journey of the main character trapped in toxic relationship(s) : a wild ride!
I would recommend this to people looking for an intense BL featuring toxic relationships coupled with some crazy twist and turns. I wish some parts would have been developed more, and that the ending would have been as captivating as the build up to it, but overall, I think this watch is a wild ride well-worth the time.
-
22. The Boy Next World: Uncut
Thai Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
The scenario was such a disappointment for so many reasons !!!
I would not recommend this to people unless you are a huge fan of Boss and Noeul. I think they deserved a better scenario for sure. I liked the opening generic and its esthetic with the good overall production value. I wish that the whole series would have had that vibe...Unfortunately, it was a classic university Thai BL kind of show rather than a mysterious and dark fantastical story...In a nutshell, what a let down !!!
-
23. My Dearest Nemesis
Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
Forgettable but sweet rom-com, ending + relationship dynamic could have been improved
I would recommend this to people looking for a cute, relatively classical rom-com. It is using the very well-know recipe from many drama, with the rich Chaebol and the hardworking heroine, with a touch of noona romance and of pop culture with the geek aspects. I regret some narrative choice for the ending and wished for more variety in the dynamic of the main couple but overall it was matching my expectations in terms of cute rom-com.
-
24. Ossan's Love Thailand
Thai Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
Over-the-top cringy, I completed it out of sole stubborness
I would not recommend this to people unless over-the-top comedic BL in an office setting is in your alley. If you are a fan of "Middleman's Love" (-which I also disliked), you might want to give it a try as it is pretty comparable with the directing choices, dumb main character and cringy aspects. Overall, it was a miss for me but I think I might not be the right public for that kind of BL drama.
-
25. Red Blue
Japanese Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
Did not know a thing about MMA but was properly entertained!
I will recommend this to people that are looking for a shonen series. If you enjoy underdog story and misfit character growing through a journey, as well as fight scenes, this will be a good pick for you. I was a bit disappointed by the fact that the story does end on an open note rather than a fully satisfying conclusion, as it feels like the drama just addapted an arc of the manga rather than the complete story. However, I still found the series very entertaining and fun to follow despite its clear budget constraint and over the top acting.
-
26. 12 Suicidal Teens
Japanese Movie - 2019
Quite predictable locked-room mystery lacking in rythm despite its solid cast & interesting premise
If you are looking for an investigation movie, with some psychological aspects and featuring a locked-room mystery involving 12 suicidal teens, you might want to give it a shot. I honestly found it relatively predictable in its ending, but at least the resolution of the mystery made sense. The morale behind the story felt a bit too light given the heavy topics at stake. I feel that an epilogue, combined with a reduced number of characters might have made the outcome of the story more fullfilling.
-
27. Exhuma
Korean Movie - 2024
Intense and well-acted : I would love to follow those characters through a drama !
I would recommend this to people looking for a thrilling horrific movie featuring shaman, corpse and exhumation. The gore level is rather low but the angst is pretty high. There are a lot of talk around death and people do get hurt and dies. So be mindful of the trigger if you have any. It is a quite long and intense movie, that might necessitate some breather to get through it in one go.
-
28. Lovesick Ellie
Japanese Movie - 2024
Not worth the time, pretty bland and forgettable
I would not recommend this movie to people as I feel there are better high school romance out there. I have not read the original material and honestly, this live adaptation did not convince me to give it a try.
-
29. Bogota: City of the Lost
Korean Movie - 2024
Unlikeable characters made it impossible for me to really care about their destiny
I would not necessarily recommend this action movie as I did find it lacking in the characterization of the main character and his relationships with others. Despite its relatively short length, it felt quite long to get to the point.
-
30. Wotakoi: Love Is Hard for Otaku
Japanese Movie - 2020
A live action that missed the mark on so many points, not true to the original source material
I would not recommend this to people as it was such a disappointment for me given the fact that I love the source material. Even my huge appreciation for Yamazaki Kento cannot redeem the movie to my eyes.
-
31. Castaway Diva
Korean Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
1st episode was incredible, too bad the whole series is not at the same level
I would recommend this to people looking for a rom-com with an almost fairy tales feel. The first episode is one of the best I have seen. The journey of the heroine is pretty entertaining to follow and the romance is sweet. I wish the writing and the tone of the series would have been as good as first episode for the full drama but overall show was still fun to follow even if not up to par with its very solid introduction.
-
32. The Boyfriend
Japanese TV Show - 2024, 10 episodes
More a queer vlog than a dating show : good cast but production could have been better
I would recommend this to people looking for a different kind of dating show, more slice-of-life and feeling very cozy. Despite production and storytelling flaws, maybe bound to happen as it was a first season, with showrunner trying to find their marks, I will be watching the season 2 which is planned. I hope the production team will adjust a bit the format in order to foster more romantic moments between its cast and less repetitive points.
-
33. Make Mate 1
Korean TV Show - 2024, 10 episodes
Despite a good start, it very quickly became bland and repetitive
I would not necessarily recommend this to people as I feel there are better / more exciting survival shows out there. Unless you are fond of one of the contestants (or of one of the guest jury), I think it is lacking in too many ways. A more exciting editing, bigger budget as well as better original songs would definitely have helped the show. Too bad !
-
34. Weak Hero Class 2
Korean Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
Solid 2nd season of a series that wrecked me with its gut-wrenching youth drama in season 1 !
I would recommend this to people that have seen the season one. It really provide a true closure with the hero undergoing an emotional inner journey. It is a story about growth in the middle of traumatic events. If you like baston manga, this is clearly a series for you !
-
35. Checkered Shirt
Korean Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
Not worth the watch - felt unfinished
I would not recommend this to people as I feel there are better bite-size university BL out there. The introduction is interesting but past the premise, the scenario goes nowhere and the series end on a frustrating open ending. Right at the start of what could have been a compelling conflict for the relationship. That said, if a season 2 is produced, I will watch it to hopefully have a proper conclusion to the story.
-
36. Buried Hearts
Korean Drama - 2025, 16 episodes
A revenge drama that took way to long to have thrilling stakes : finished it thanks to hot main lead
I would not necessarily recommend this drama unless you are a fan of Park Hyung Sik or are truly an aficionado of revenge drama. The romance felt too bland to me and other than the hero, almost no secondary characters on "the good side" is interesting because of lack of solid background. The real stakes and angst come a bit too late and feel to short-lived with what felt like a rushed conclusion after a sluggish set up.
-
37. Pyramid Game
Korean Drama - 2024, 10 episodes
Very bingeable and gripping series ! Loved the friendship and the growth!
I would recommend this to people that are looking for an angsty school drama. If you enjoy psychological thriller, I feel this is a great pick. It is a quite short series, well paced. Once you start, you are in for a brutal ride!
-
38. The Bedmate Game: Sharehouse
Korean Drama - 2024, 53 episodes
Such a guilty pleasure : short vertically filmed South Korean series with a lot of steamy kisses !
I would recommend this to people looking for a no brainer show filled with hot moments with very little content and thoughts. It is all in good fun and if you watch it with no (or low) expectations, I think you are in for an enjoyable watch.
-
39. Two Some Boys
Korean Drama - 2024, 6 episodes
Very short and still felt like a loss of time
I would not recommend this to people. There are too many issue with the overall writing and the cast shift while unfortunate and probably not a voluntary choice, made it very difficult to really be onboard with the romance. To finish on a positive note : I like the starting idea of the characters being apart because one is a trainee that failed to debut while the other debuted. The idol context was really an interesting background for a BL drama and it is a shame it was not exploited more.
-
40. Match Play
Korean Drama - 2024, 63 episodes
Not enough stakes, not enough sparks.
I would not recommend this series as I feel there are better BL out there. It is a pretty bingeable watch due to the format but I feel that nothing really exciting happens. The vertically filmed scenes did not help to showcase adequately the fighting scenes and the close up on the faces of the actors, rather than creating an impression of intimacy, left me with a feeling of disconnection.
-
41. The Devil's Plan
Korean TV Show - 2023, 12 episodes
The cliffhangers will keep you pressing play on the next episode button!
I would recommend this if you enjoy game show involving strategical alliances. If you enjoyed shows such as Elite League, it might be right in your alley. The second season has just started and I will for sure watch it as well, hoping for stronger participants and less moochers (even if very sympathetic).
-
42. Something's Not Right
Korean Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
Unrequited love with a lot of miscommunication issues : deeply flawed but I liked it...
I would recommend this series to people that enjoy unrequited love stories and that have a high tolerance for communication issue and painful unnecessary longing. I honestly enjoyed myself quite a bit despite the big writing and editing issues thanks to the beloved central tropes of the story and my fondness for one of the character.
-
43. Character
Japanese Movie - 2021
Visually strinking thriller, with a good production value & solid writing while mostly predictable
I would recommend this to people looking for a gripping thriller. If you like stories featuring artists as well as the creation process, I think this will for sure be an interesting watch as it takes you on the journey of an assistant mangaka drawing inspiration from real life crimes to start a career and the dramatic consequences of doing so. Be mindful of the triggers if you any as there is quite a bit of gore and blood due to the nature of the film itself.
-
44. Hijack 1971
Korean Movie - 2024
A heartbreaking and inspiring movie
I would strongly recommend this movie if you are looking for very well acted and emotional action story. It has a lot of nuances in addition to a lot of intense moments, and it will definitely keep you on your toes.
-
45. Coin Locker Girl
Korean Movie - 2015
Dark and well acted, but storytelling did not manage to keep my interest
I would recommend this movie for people that like dark and twisted movie. If you enjoy story like "Hwayi: A Monster Boy", I think you could enjoy it. I personnaly liked "Hwayi: A Monster Boy" much much more but I can definitely see some interesting parallel between those two movies with the common thematic of found family evolving in the darkness (with dire consequences as they are part of criminal activities). It is definitely the most gripping aspect of the "Coin Locker Girl" with also the great cast. Too bad the pace and the storytelling did not hold up to its dark premise.
-
46. Lost You Forever Season 2
Chinese Drama - 2024, 23 episodes
From S1, I knew it would probably not go the way I wanted it to go...and indeed it did not !
I would recommend this series to those that have seen season 1. Of course, even if the endgame is not to my taste and that the romance was hardly palatable at times, there are really a couple of impactful episodes that made me not regret the watch. Outside of its romance (which was not my cup of tea), the overall journey followed by the characters made sense, with some great and heartbreaking moments as you get more and more attached to protagonists and their world.
-
47. Kuzu no Honkai
Japanese Drama - 2017, 12 episodes
Steamy kisses, forbidden relationship, unrequited love, unhealthy choices: super enjoyable cocktail!
I would recommend this to people that are looking for an angsty and steamy series, featuring torturous relationships and a few psychological elements. The show features age gap and really twisted love (or rather lust), so if it is not your thing, you might want to avoid it. Having said that, the ending wrap the series in a rather healthy way, not justifying or romantising red flags. I would have been onboard with an alternative ending, but I found the life lesson really adequate to conclude the story, making it more memorable.
-
48. The Devil’s Plan Death Room
Korean TV Show - 2025, 12 episodes
Some stuff improved from S1, some not as good as S1 - still gripping and entertaining gameshow!
I would recommend this to people that enjoyed the first seaon. It shares similarities but also is quite different for some parts. I wish the next season (if there is one) will manage to find an even better balance between social interactions, alliances building and games. It might be difficult to renew a third time the gameshow, to keep the participants on their toes, not knowing what to expect...But I still wish they try it !
-
49. DMD Friendship the Reality, It Takes Two
Thai TV Show - 2024, 6 episodes
Another season for DoMunDi TV production to promote his next BL pairings
I would recommend this to people that have enjoyed the previous season or that are a fan of DoMunDi TV production. It is both very cute and very cringe as it features the participants trying to find their "partners" with rewards being "friendship time" very similar to a dating show.
-
50. The On1y One
Taiwanese Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
High school cohabitation BL that left me unsatisfied because of its open ending and lack of focus
With S2 seemingly not happening, I would not necessary recommend this to people. If a season 2 was planned, I would probably say it is worth a shot if you enjoy slow burn cohabitation romance and are not allergic to a lot of sides plot and slice-of-life aspects.
-
51. Top Form
Thai Drama - 2025, 11 episodes
Past the very entertaining honeygate, my interest drastically slowed down...
I would not recommend this to people because of my issues with the writing. The good chemistry between the actors could save it for you, so if you enjoy crazy BLs show set up in entertainment industry with an heavy part of dramatic events, this might totally be up your alley. Unfortunately for me, I got too annoyed with the traumas dumping on one of the main characters and the easiness with which everything was resolved each time, preventing me to care about what was happening on screen.
-
52. Moon and Dust
Chinese Drama - 2025, 6 episodes
Low budget BL with unhinged Didi obsessed by his adoptive Gege : poorly produced & written
I would definitely not recommend it unless you are a huge fan of toxic obsessive relationship between brothers and don't mind chopped editing and very low production value. Its ending also kind of left the viewer hanging, with no resolution brought to anything, in a pretty frustrating way. It is super short, so you might want to give it a shot to see the train wreck. Having said that, if there is a season 2 (which I truly doubt), I will likely watch it to get to the bottom of the story. If you want to watch series that handled thousand times better a similar premise, you can definitely give a shot to "Unknown" and "Stay With Me".
-
53. The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call
Korean Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
A very bingewatchable medical drama with a pace that will hook you for sure !
I would recommend this to people that enjoy shows mixing genres: I feel it blends well action and medical aspects, keeping the medical cases different enough to not feel too repetitive and having some interesting global arc for the main characters. In addition to playing in a very believable way this impressive doctor,Ju Ji Hoon is super attractive in this, which is always a win and I truly had a lot of fun watching the series. I don't think a season 2 is needed but I will watch if for sure if they make a new one.
-
54. Squid Game Season 3
Korean Drama - 2025, 6 episodes
I had low expectation and this S3 still felt like a let down...
Despite all its flaws in writing, I would still recommend this to people that have watched season 2. If you have just seen Season 1, better stop there as it can live perfectly well as a standalone...However, if you have watched season 2, it is kinda a must to watch season 3 as those two are immediately connected and probably splitted in two for commercial reasons rather than anything else.
-
55. Trapped in Osaka
Chinese Drama - 2025, 4 episodes
Very hot short BL : collecting debt was never so sexy
I would recommend this to people that enjoy BL featuring cohabitation trope with great chemistry. It is super short and definitely worth a shot even if given its length and format it cannot go as deep as I would have wanted, it still pack a (hot) punch.
-
56. Dear Hongrang
Korean Drama - 2025, 11 episodes
Epic but flawed, I wish the forbidden romance would have been even angstier
I would truly recommend this series to people looking for an historical drama focusing more on angsty relationship with an hefty amount of horrific mystery rather than deep political content. I loved the dark side of this story and its intense finale despite the writing flaws.
-
57. My Stubborn
Thai Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
One hell of trashy and entertaining BL - a funny way to loose brain cells
I can't recommend this to people as it is such a bad drama. At the same time, I think if you are looking for something in a "it is really so bad it is good" kind of way, you might want to give it a shot.
-
58. One: High School Heroes
Korean Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
Mixed feelings about it : the first half got me invested but then it was quite a let down
I would recommend this to people that are looking for a highschool fight drama. It is in my opinion less good than Weak Class Hero but it is exploring relatively similar thematic, so if you enjoyed one, you might appreciate this one as well.
-
59. The Boy Next Door
Korean Drama - 2017, 15 episodes
A "pick me up"mini-drama with bite-sized episodes, packed with humor and very entertaining
I would recommend this to people that are looking for a fun and short watch. If you like parody and BL stories, this one will definitely make your day brighter and lighter. It is very short (maybe even too short, i would have loved to see more, I feel the concept could even have been further exploited) and totally worth a shot.
-
60. Universe League
Korean TV Show - 2024, 10 episodes
Despite a good start, it very quickly became bland and repetitive
If you are a fan of one of the directors or of survival shows in general, it might be worth to give it a shot. I personnaly feel it loose too soon its steam and became very predictable because of unbalanced rules. But there are a couple of performances that I really enjoyed, in addition to having some talented participants. If the concept would have more fair for all the teams, and the gap in votes smaller, it would have been definitively more interesting to me.
-
61. Family Matters
Korean Drama - 2024, 6 episodes
Bingeable, uncanny and dark but felt lacking as ended when entering the real good stuff
I would recommend this to people that are looking for a thrilling action series with a solid cast. It is quite comparable to the manga "Spy x Family", in a darker version with a touch of "Black Widow" and an "Adams Family" vibe. Quite a tasteful combination ! Unfortunately, it can feel a tad frustrating because of its short duration. I wish some of the most interesting elements regarding the family relationships would have been exploited more, especially regarding the past of the characters. If there is a second season, I will watch it for sure.
-
62. The Red Envelope
Thai Movie - 2025
A rare occurrence : an adaptation that I enjoyed more than the original Taiwanese movie
I would recommend this to people that are looking for a Thai action comedy with a lot of heart and fun. The friendship that the two main characters built together is great to follow. If you like Billkin and/or PP Krit, it is definitely a must watch. If you enjoyed the original movie, you should definitely give it a shot as it is a real adaptation, improving on the source material and embedding it in Thai culture, rather than just being a basic copy.
-
63. Pit Babe Season 2: Uncut
Thai Drama - 2025, 13 episodes
I had no expectations and still was disappointed by the nonsensical plot choices and bland ending
I would not recommend this to people as there are better BLs out there. If you had already mixed feelings regarding Season 1, this Season 2 will certainly not change your mind.
-
64. S Line
Korean Drama - 2025, 6 episodes
Lot of unexploited potential, writing weaknesses and a WTF ending : quite memorable but frustrating.
Despite all its fails in writing and the failure in exploiting fully the concept, I would still recommend this to people that are looking for a dark thriller with an innovative central idea. It is a let down for many reasons but at the same time the premise in itself is so strong that I think it is worth giving a shot to this quite short drama. Be mindful if you have any trigger, there are some very dark and disturburing scenes that could be upsetting.
-
65. I'll Turn Back This Time
Chinese Drama - 2025, 6 episodes
Poorly written : noble idiocy and miscommunication were on the driving wheel
I would not recommend this as it was just too frustrating to me to see the poor writing choices made and rules of the fantasy elements making so little sense.

66. I'll Turn Back This Time Extra
Chinese Special - 2025, 1 episode
Pretty moment but lacking logic...Felt more like an ad than a well-thought conclusion
I would not recommend this necessarily to people...But as it is only 9 minutes, if you have made it through the drama, you might as well watch the SP to get the full picture on the endgame of the romance.

67. The Next Prince: Uncut
Thai Drama - 2025, 14 episodes
Definitely more show than substance
I would not recommend this to people unless you are a big fan of one of the actor(s). If it were not for some of the most spicy NSFW scenes, I honesly think it could be seen as a kid show given how oversimplified and limited the writing is. Not that kids cannot have good written shows (they should for sure) but it really gave me that overall feeling that I can't unshake. Do yourself a favor and just watch an edit of the secondary couple storyline, rather than spending your time watching the full drama.

68. Reset
Thai Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
Never got tired of watching Tada worship the ground Armin is walking on ~ So swoony & precious
I would recommend this to people that are looking for a BL with an amazing and epic romance. It has quite a bit of soap opera vibe with some over-the-top acting from the villains and melodramatic moments that can feel too much but the romance at its core is really worth it!

69. Trigger
Korean Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
Unconvinced by the writing but properly subjugated by Kim Young Kwang's character
I would recommend this to people that are looking for a thriller exploring a very interesting hypothesis regarding the impact of guns on a population with very low firearms usage. The deep diving on the psychology of targeted specific people (when in possession of an illegal gun) was really frightening and captivating at the beginning. Unfortunately the way it devolved into a larger scheme was much more doubtful.

70. Your Sky: Uncut
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
A cute & fluffy watch when you need to put your brain off
I would recommend this to people looking for a sweet BL. It is not original at all and recycles a lot of over-used storylines in Thai BL realm but it is very charming. The chemistry between the actors is good, and even if some of the acting is quite green, I was pretty happy to watch it as I was very invested into watching the new BL pairings formed by DMD Friendship S1 and S2.

71. Cursed in Love
Japanese Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
A thrilling series with a lot of unhinged moments and serving culinary esthetics treats !
I would recommend this to people that are looking for a mystery series set up in a traditional Japanese house. The artisanal talk around the Japanese sweets making, as well as the overall elegance of it all was my favorite part of the series. I come out of it having learnt a lot on this art form. I really liked the story in its first half but then felt that soap opera scenes got overboard. The ending felt definitely lacking to me as the mystery unfolded in a unhinged way. If you enjoy melodramatic moments with a lot of shock factor, you will be served for sure !

72. Close Range Love
Japanese Movie - 2014
I really disliked it : not because of the relationship nature but how devoid of feelings it was...
I would not recommend this at all to people. Because of how familiar the beginning of the movie felt, I vaguely remembered while watching it reading the manga (or at least part of it) : I either dropped it or have no memories of completing it, which clearly shows how forgettable it was. Am I surprised that the movie did not manage to elevate the source material ? Not really...but well, they could have tried at least...
