the best modern drama that combined everything needed to be enjoyable and valuable. If more modern dramas could to this I would watch more of them rather than focusing on costume productions.

fantastic story telling without unimportant delays and superfluous details but meticulously scripted - great dialogues, layered characters, varied themes, tragic and comedic value, a broad view of societal and historical reality. Very well directed acted and edited, with music fitting all settings. Beautiful visually and interesting for such a long drama. 

They don't make them like that anymore

I am in love of this drama! Music, story, characters (even if annoying), cinematography, editing, original idea and production/directing, acting. 

A most recent work (2024) of the artistic genius Lin Bo.

this was directing and producing masterpiece. I am rising it in the ranks because I loved everything about it

I had watched it 3 times in less than 3 years.  It is the best shorter drama with great characters and played with skill. I love it!

I have been following Wang Yibo (dancing, driving and singing as well) and Xiao Zhan (his 2025 music album was awesome!) ever since

topics galore from grief to joy, loneliness to love, fathers, mothers, children, choices. Superb! And of course another fantastic role delivery by Meguro Ren

no glamour, no idols, no flashy rich, just mundane life of middle-aged couple fraught with issues - done in such spectacular way and tons of details that open your eyes to history and traditions
