how to waste your time
when i feel like i’m wasting my time, i usually drop the show or put it on hold, but some shows i need to finish even if i’m bored by them and i'm just waiting for the end. so in this list are shows i finished, and after i finished them i asked myself, “why? why did i watch this?” and then i feel like the time i spent was wasted, and no one’s gonna give it back to me.
some shows i really enjoyed at the beginning, but at some point i got bored of them.

1. Unforgettable Love
Chinese Drama - 2021, 24 episodes
three days wasted!! i binge-watched this only because i wanted it to be over. i watched it because i was looking for something similar to the love you give me, and people here on mdl recommended it. sorry, people on mdl, but i don’t trust your recommendations anymore. i have such a specific taste, and people here never recommend me something i actually like. maybe if i hadn’t taken it so seriously, i would have enjoyed it more. but the thing is, i take every show too seriously.
why didn’t i drop it? well, i wanted to know how it would end, so i kept watching even though i felt the pain of second-hand embarrassment.

2. True Beauty
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
at the time i watched it, i didn’t realize it, but now i know it was second-hand embarrassment. what started as two hours of the show per week turned into four. every minute i paused it, laughed even though it wasn’t funny, walked around my room, breathed in, breathed out, and then unpaused it. a minute later, i had to repeat the process of breathing through another cringe scene.
still better than the webtoon.
