  • True Beauty

    1. True Beauty

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

    6.0

6/10. started off great. became boring really fast. then the end was just recycled. used cheap methods just to keep the show going. like the mc guy spending 700 seasons just struggling to open his mouth to confess.

the side girl, the one with  second best scores, was the best girl out of them all. literally universes above all of them mfs. not even close. she did nothing wrong btw, all those blind mfs shouldve thanked her just for being in her presence.

3/10 on a good day. great potential and thats it. the show had the chance to be one of the greatest but instead it decided to take a bunch of mental illness, make a story around it and call it "progressive".  very forced.

connected 100% with the manager guy in the makeup scene. he is just like me fr fr

solid 8/10. didnt like the happy ending being tied to being rich. preferred if they continued where they left, you know, shouldering the weight of being a coda doesnt hit the same when you are rich

6/10. who does a triangle for side characters... the worst side romance that ive ever seen and probably will ever see. the swimmer guy deserved better, wtf. he just humiliated himself and went through all that without even kissing the girl. the rich guy just existed and won, too realistic for my liking.

  • Sweet & Sour

    9. Sweet & Sour

    Korean Movie - 2021

    7.0

THE BEST I CAN COMPROMISE: they were both at fault. the girl was worse regarding the cheating, the guy was worse in the relationship, they were both had the communication skill of a pancake. "OMG I LIKED WHEN SHE DIDNT EVEN LOOK BACK"... yea thats what cheating whores be doing.
you know whats funny. no one even cares about the fact that the fat guy with rich parents was being lied to by the girl. he will never find out what kind of girl she is, he will never know his girlfriend was cheating on her bf with him for months.  i guess the fat and ugly guy doesnt have the right to know, he should just be thankful since she was "out of his league".
you know when he is going to find out? when the relationship going through rough patches and then she repeats what she did again.

also the security guy was the goat. trying to get him out of the relationship since they were meant to break up

also, the ml suddenly wanting to go back to his ex after not getting the job, then running back to his gf and propose after getting rejected was forced af

  • One Dollar Lawyer

    12. One Dollar Lawyer

    Korean Drama - 2022, 12 episodes

it was great until the last two episodes. the ending wash rushed af and it showed. it was like thy were planning for it to be a lot longer than 12 episodes but suddenly they had to wrap things up in the last 2 episodes. for example, planning to for grandfather baek to be involved in the crime but then suddenly he is not involved anymore. shit like that. and then they wraped everything else in the last episode. it felt unsatisfying. i would give it more than 7/10 if it wasnt for the rushed ending.

-- just saw some article saying they shortened the show from 14 to 12. i still think it needed even more than 12 episodes. they was a lot of loose ends. the romance part of it, the guy wanting to marry the fl for baek, his father, etc etc. those things would be interesting on the side with the main story being ongoing. so even if they were planning for season 2, they ended up ruining the show.

-- its funny seeing the comments under the article from 3 years ago. around episode 8 or 9. people believing them saying the shortening is for quality lmao.

another great potential ruined by bad writing

    The Ending

Once they were in the car at the end, I could see four possible endings. It's impressive how the writers chose the absolute worst one.

    1. She and Jun-seo go and live together quietly somewhere. (Second-best ending)

This ending is possible for two reasons.

First, they showed us signs of her being willing to stop (the grandma and marriage situation).

Second, there's what she said to Jun-seo: "I won't be sad if you get hurt, but I don't want to be the one who causes you harm." Something along those lines.

She obviously would remain a psycho in this scenario, but she would have no choice but to stop harming others because she would have to harm Jun-seo and get him out of the way first.

    2. Jun-seo succeeds in killing them both. (Best ending in terms of storytelling, IMO)

But, of course, the guy can't do anything right.

    3. She survives. (Third place)

Jun-seo's death makes her want to stop. She goes somewhere and lives quietly (not because she's forced to, but because she actually wants to).

    4. She survives and everything was meaningless. (Worst ending)

This is the ending we got.

She hasn't changed a bit. She frees her hand from Jun-seo with resentment (twice). Not even a fraction of a change after everything that happened.

She goes somewhere and lives quietly (not because she wants to, but because she has to).

And she'll still cause harm to others if the situation presents itself.
