  • You Are the Cream in My Coffee

    1. You Are the Cream in My Coffee

    Thai Special - 2023, 7 episodes

    9.0

    COMPLETED [Jan 28]

So stinking cute! Although I don't like coffee, I enjoy series set in cafés/coffeeshops because they are usually so cozy and scratch the right part of my brain. This drama was no exception. My favourite moments were the sandwich biting one and the one when they tasted the coffee beans.

Definitely one of my most favourite out of H'our Channel production. :)

  • You Are Vitamins in My Routine

    2. You Are Vitamins in My Routine

    Thai Special - 2023, 4 episodes

    9.0

    COMPLETED [Jan 28]

As great as the first one! Cute as always and the vacation setting made me feel just as relaxed (if not more) as the coffeeshop one. The only downside to this is that now I desperately want to get a girlfriend and spend a few days on vacation together.

  • Bear in Mind

    3. Bear in Mind

    Thai Movie - 2019

    6.5

    COMPLETED [Jan 28]

Laundromat setting seemed interesting but the movie was not. The idea of the two ex-girlfriends meeting there is nice but I'm conflicted about the final message, which is basically that the two of them agreed to keep seeing each other in the laundromat despite the fact that one of them already has a new girlfriend.

  • Veils

    4. Veils

    Japanese Movie - 2021

    9.0

    COMPLETED [Jan 29]

This felt so REAL. Short story but full of emotions and a great message. I like how the two FLs decided to still have an engagement photoshoot despite the fact that they couldn't get married. And it was so nice to see how they stood up against homophobia.

  • "Hello, Stepmother"

    5. "Hello, Stepmother"

    Chinese Movie - 2020

    9.0

    COMPLETED [Jan 29]

Am I rating this too high? Probably yes. But I have a soft spot for these baihe historical movies/mini-dramas. They are always so beautiful. And we got a (veiled) kiss in this one! I was a bit worried about the stepmother/stepdaughter angle but I promise that there is nothing weird.

  • What a Night!

    6. What a Night!

    Filipino Movie - 2019

    8.0

    COMPLETED [Jan 30]

This movie is actually quite dark. From the synopsis I was thinking that it would be a very different "epic night". But throughout the party with the guys you can feel the anxious feeling slip in. I'm so glad that Riley never let Ava alone there even after they argued. I wasn't sure whether I should leave it in my GL Recs list but the ending made me keep it there. It was sudden but the relationship was there.

  • Xiao Xiang Yi Jiu

    7. Xiao Xiang Yi Jiu

    Chinese Drama - 2024, 7 episodes

    8.0

    COMPLETED [Jan 30]

Very cute. I loved the karaoke party and the game they played. The scene with pottery making was super cute too. The dubbing was weird at first (off sync a lot) but after a while I didn't even know about it. The ending and the timeline three years ago were confusing though. Did the FLs meet before and just pretended they didn't know each other or what?

  • Cozy First Love

    8. Cozy First Love

    Thai Drama - 2023, 4 episodes

    7.0

    COMPLETED [Jan 30]

For something that was titled "Cozy First Love" it didn't quite awake almost any feeling of cozyness within me. The fake dating trope was there but could be done a bit better. Also how is Min going to convince anyone that she has a girlfriend when almost all of their interactions take place in her flat? There was also a lot of angst (especially in the last episode with them arguing and June's mother being ill) and although the drama had a happy ending with the FLs ending up in a real relationship, I wouldn't quite define it as cozy.

  • Fragrance of the First Flower

    9. Fragrance of the First Flower

    Taiwanese Drama - 2021, 6 episodes

    8.5

    COMPLETED [Jan 30 - Jan 31]

Yi Min and Tin Ting were so precious together and so angsty and they deserve a happy ending omg! So glad that season 2 is coming soon.  The son Xiao Zhe was the cutest. Kudos for Yi Min's actress Lin Zai Zai for being openly bisexual in real life.

Although the age gap wasn't really sitting well with me. When they first met, Yi Mi was a senior in highschool and Tin Ting a freshman so the age gap was 3/4 years, which would be nothing if they were adults but in highschool it meant that one of them is 18 while the other is like 15, which is icky at best. It doesn't matter that Tin Ting was the one who pursued the relationship more, it's still weird.

  • EEL

    10. EEL

    Taiwanese Movie - 2018

    8.5

    COMPLETED [Jan 31]

The best way I can describe this movie is unique. It's dizzy in a sense with the use of fisheye lens, camera shaking, blurred movements... but it draws you in. The synopsis really matches the vibe of the movie. It's about discovery and escapism the most, about finding and losing. The ending kinda broke me with the false hope.

  • Everything He Can Give You, I Can Too

    11. Everything He Can Give You, I Can Too

    Chinese Movie - 2023

    9.0

    COMPLETED [Jan 31]

I'm screaming, this was so good, like the outfits, the tension, it's not even a subtext at this point.

Yes, it's another stepmother/stepdaughter but there is nothing  weird about their relationship (they seem very similar in age and it looks like they met in adulthood).

  • Do You Want to Play the Truth or Dare with Me? Reboot

    12. Do You Want to Play the Truth or Dare with Me? Reboot

    Korean Drama - 2019, 2 episodes

    7.5

    COMPLETED [Feb 2]

This was so messy and not in a good way. However I liked a few moments in the first episode, like the female lead asking her love interest whether she liked Sook Hee or Hideko more. And it was very funny when the fake boyfriend suddenly emerged from under the bed sheets. But ultimately I didn't like it as much as I thought I would, which is a shame. I wonder what the original drama was like but I can't find it anywhere to watch it.

  • Don't Say Sorry

    13. Don't Say Sorry

    Korean Movie - 2018

    8.0

    COMPLETED [Feb 3]

Aaah, I wanted them to use the name of the drama in the dialogue so bad, it would be a perfect choice. The highschool part was very cute, I was afraid that it was going to do the miscommunication trope but luckily it didn't happen. I wanted to see more of their adult lives though. But the ending made me smile.

  • Graduation, Present + Propose

    14. Graduation, Present + Propose

    Korean Movie - 2021

    9.0

    COMPLETED [Feb 4]

This was so cute and wholesome! There are times when I think that I am too old for high school dramas but this one really captured my heart. I was a bit worried about the beer drinking scene but everything remained wholesome the whole time. As one of the reviews said, it would be nice to get a sequel with these two in college.

  • Help, I Accidentally Stole My Shixiong's Crush!

    COMPLETED [Feb 6]

They were super cute and I loved the plot twist at the end. It's amazing how these short Chinese GLs can capture your heart in just few minutes.

  • The Imprisoned Canary

    16. The Imprisoned Canary

    Chinese Special - 2023, 1 episode

    10

    COMPLETED [Feb 7]

If you know me, then you know my love for the Chinese Republican Era. Combine it with GL and I'm sold. The visuals are breathtaking as always and I'll always marvel at how these shampoo commercials have better plots than some actual dramas.

  • The Substitute

    17. The Substitute

    Taiwanese Movie - 2017

    9.0

    COMPLETED [Feb 7]

What a great movie! The title suits it really well, Han Lu is a substitute both for her mother and as a stuntwoman for Ni Ke. Then Ni Ke is a substitute for her during filming the new movie. But there is no substitute for love.

It was nice to see two butches/tomboys be in love as I feel like the GL industry is still missing on them. And kudos for the movie being directed and screenwrited by a lesbian.

  • Strawberry Night

    18. Strawberry Night

    Chinese Movie - 2019

    6.5

    COMPLETED [Feb 8]

I'm so confused by this movie! I liked the flower visuals as a metaphor for sex but other than that I feel like I didn't understand anything... According to the synopsis, someone (Shasha's friend?) broke in? I didn't even notice it in the movie. Suddenly they were talking about gay men's relationship. Then she kissed him? What even happened?

And that one eye shot made me really uncomfortable, I don't even know what it was trying to portray...

  • Floating Deep Down Summer

    19. Floating Deep Down Summer

    Korean Movie - 2019

    8.0

    COMPLETED [Feb 11]

A very nice story. The leads were cute together. I loved the beach scene the most and the sound of crashing waves. It truly made me want to bury my toes in sand and walk into the sea.

  • Family Plan

    20. Family Plan

    Korean Movie - 2016

    7.0

    COMPLETED [Feb 11]

This one was cute before all the baby talk. Like what do you mean you want your kids to fall in love with each other?! And I'm glad that the female leads got their family at the end but why did they both have to marry a man for that? Especially when one of them didn't like the idea at all...

  • Three Hundred Years Later

    21. Three Hundred Years Later

    Chinese Special - 2021, 2 episodes

    8.5

    COMPLETED [Feb 12]

The two (three?) timelines were a bit confusing to follow in the first part but the second one cleared it up well. Skinship was amazing as well.

  • Me after Us

    22. Me after Us

    Filipino Drama - 2021, 1 episode

    8.0

    COMPLETED [Feb 19]

Please, we need more dramas/movies from Zyril Bundoc, they always feel so real.

On the other hand I have no idea whether this was supposed to have only one episode or if they just never made more...

  • Pragma

    23. Pragma

    Korean Movie - 2014

    9.0

    COMPLETED [Feb 20]

I love how the YouTube name of this is "Best Lesbian Movie." It wasn't the best for me but I appreaciate the sentiment, especially given the fact that this was made in 2014. Jesus, the school papers about the gay questionings were awful. Otherwise, the romance was really cute and they made me smile through the movie.

  • The Loyal Pin: Uncut

    24. The Loyal Pin: Uncut

    Thai Drama - 2024, 16 episodes

    10

    COMPLETED [Jan 31 - Feb 21]

Such a beautiful and enjoyable drama! I can't believe that Pin and Anin were the first lesbian couple ever (aside from what Lady Patthamika and the princess had going on, doomed old woman yuri, my beloved).

Though I still have no idea in what time period is this taking place because some of the costumes seemed really anachronistic. But they were gorgeous so I'll let it slip. The drama was also a bit frustrating to watch around the 3/4 mark (the wedding, FLs not properly communicating with each other) but the rest I very much enjoyed.

Otherwise I loved everything about this drama: the camerawork, the OST, the delicious food (!!), the supporting characters (Prik and Pia, my beloveds, and also Anin's second brother).

  • Pond, Fish

    25. Pond, Fish

    Chinese Movie - 2019

    8.0

    COMPLETED [Feb 26]

It's clear that it's a student film but some of the shots are very beautiful (especially the nature ones). I also liked the poetry, especially the one at the end. "The fish in the pond yearns for its old abyss."

  • Can I Kiss My Best Friend?

    26. Can I Kiss My Best Friend?

    Korean Movie - 2021

    9.0

    COMPLETED [Feb 28]

This was really cute. I was afraid that there would be some internalized homophobia (you know, the kind that it doesn't count when you do it with a girl) but it was really wholesome. I liked the humour too, especially the scenes with one of the FLs acting as the hypothetical boyfriend and leaning against the wall.

  • Xiaoshimei's Strategy Guide for Winning Her Shijie's Heart

    COMPLETED [Feb 28]

Cute as always, I love these two actresses together. But even I can admit, that this is probably their weakest movie... Also who did Shijie's makeup? Criminal. Her face was so unnaturaly white.

  • The Female Doctor and Rabbit Spirit

    28. The Female Doctor and Rabbit Spirit

    Chinese Movie - 2020

    8.5

    COMPLETED [Mar 4]

So cute! I loved to see them working as doctors. The plot was nice too, I liked the inclusion of the white snake spirit story to raise the stakes of their relationship. The music was enjoyable as well and some scenes looked straight up out of some music video.

  • Sleep with Me

    29. Sleep with Me

    Filipino Drama - 2022, 6 episodes

    9.5

    COMPLETED [Mar 12]

This was so good! I loved to see both Harry and Luna navigate through life and their relationship, facing struggles and overcoming obstacles. The relationships between the characters were really carrying the drama, be it romantic (Harry and Luna), familial (Harry and Kai) and platonic friendship (Luna and Wendy). I also liked how the drama adressed their disabilities, it was done very respectfully, in my opinion.

  • Parallel World

    30. Parallel World

    Chinese Drama - 2023, 38 episodes

    10

    COMPLETED [Sep 8 (2023) - Mar 13]

MY NEW FAVOURITE DRAMA!! Seriously, this was so good, I can't believe it took me so long to finish it, in my defense when I really like a drama, sometimes I stop completely stop watching it or take my time with it because I don't want it to end and this was just the case.

If you know me then you definitely know that I appreciate strong world-building when it comes to fantasy stories and this drama didn't disappoint me in the slightest: starting with the desert setting, unique world, and fantasy creatures (except the substitute tongue, we don't talk about the substitute tongue xD). Geminus, my beloved. The roosters Shan He and Si Hai, my beloveds.

Ye Liuxi and Chang Dong shone both as characters and as a couple. Their relationship was so healthy and mature, and I was swooning over them so much. I also loved their (role reversal) dynamic with Ye Liuxi being a badass woman and Chang Dong being both strong and soft (king's man!).

Ding Liu and Gao Shen were to die for as well. He was so devoted to her. I'm so glad that they got their own (canon!) happy ending. I was reserved about the pairing of Fatty Tang and A'He but they won me over very quickly as well, it was clear that the characters loved each other a lot.

And Jiang Zhan, what a man. His decision in the penultimate episode... oh dear. That choice made me like him even more.

The choice for it all to be just a story was also very powerful. It has come to its end but is it really ending there? After all, the storyteller only heard it from someone else... It was so hopeful in a sense.

  • 23.5

    31. 23.5

    Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes

    10

    REWATCH [Feb 23 - Mar 16]

Viki acquired this drama so of course I wanted to make Czech subtitles for it and rewatch the drama. It's still super cute and perfect for spring/summer watching, although I have to admit that the first half was bubblier, I still enjoyed the drama as a whole so much.

  • Apple My Love

    32. Apple My Love

    Thai Drama - 2024, 6 episodes

    8.0

    COMPLETED [Mar 19 - Mar 20]

Given the fact that apple is often a symbol of temptation and "forbidden fruit tastes the best" I was expecting something a bit... different? Darker, toxic? But I'm glad that wasn't the case, instead the drama was actually pretty wholesome. I loved Kris's friendship group, as well as her brother and his two other friends.

After the first two episodes I kind of missed Kris breaking the fourth wall, I really liked when she turned towards the camera and started talking like she was in the Office. xD

However I wish she told Karn sooner about her being Apple. I get that she was flustered at first (even to the point of coming off as rude but she was trying her best! And it was refreshing to see it) but she had many opportunities later. Even when Karn knew it the entire time, it didn't feel like the right conclusion.

And the plot point with her eyes was... interesting? I'm still not sure whether I like it or not.

  • General, Can I Sleep with You?

    33. General, Can I Sleep with You?

    Chinese Movie - 2021

    8.5

    COMPLETED [Mar 20]

Beautiful costumes and a song to accompany a very powerful story packed in just four minutes. Be aware that what happens at the end isn't actually an end, but the beginning of their story.

Omg, were they eating sandwiches? :D And the rescued FL dancing around while the general practiced her martial arts was so cute.

  • 42 Kg Nak Kae Nai Gor Rak

    34. 42 Kg Nak Kae Nai Gor Rak

    Thai Drama - 2021, 2 episodes

    8.5

    COMPLETED [Mar 20]

This was cute. I liked how Plus was trying to gain weight, instead of losing it. But lol why did the other FL get into the bathtub completely dressed? :D

  • Love Scout

    35. Love Scout

    Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes

    9.5

    COMPLETED [Feb 13 - Mar 29]

Ji Yun and Eun Ho's relationship was so cute and mature at the same time, they had me swooning and smiling like crazy. Another win for the RR dynamic (boss FL x employee ML) although their personal relationship was more egalitarian (which I like as well!). Byeol was the sweetest angel.

I appreciate the fact that some of the side couples were already dating or married and the fact that Na Gyu Rim didn't end up in any relationship. Also the fact that absolutely nobody was shipping the kids Byeol and So Jun together.

I liked the second couple (and also the fact that they moved on pretty quickly from the main leads) but at the same time I found them a bit... lacking? I can't quite explain it, it's just a vibe.

I spoiled myself and knew that the childhood connection trope was coming but ultimately I didn't hate it. I think it was the first time when the leads weren't treating it as something romantic and it was viewed only as a tragedy (as it should have been).

Last but not least I want to appreaciate Eun Ho being comfortable with his daughter painting his nails.

  • Perfect One-Night Stand

    36. Perfect One-Night Stand

    Korean Movie - 2020

    9.0

    COMPLETED [Apr 3]

This was so cute and funny at the same time! I liked the variety of women Ji Hye met on the dating app (except that creepy man). I also appreciate the fact that Yoon Kyung told her not to judge the BDSM girl. And the running butch was funny. I loved the ending and it once again proves that noone does friends to lovers better than sapphics.

Also never heard the term fellagirly before (it's like a futch) so I'm glad I learned something new about the lesbian community. :D

  • A Search Through Nine Lifetimes

    37. A Search Through Nine Lifetimes

    Chinese Special - 2021, 1 episode

    8.5

    COMPLETED [Apr 4]

Omg, was that a facial wipe commercial, I had no idea lol. But yes, once again how does an ad make you feel so much more than a normal-length drama? Beautiful visuals, though I wish we could spend more time in the historical setting.

  • 38. Us

    Thai Drama - 2025, 12 episodes

    9.0

    COMPLETED [Jan 27 - Apr 6]

I can't believe this was adapted from a Chao Planoy's novel because their relationship was actually so healthy? Thank you, director and screenwriter, who decided to change the plot in such a significant way. ?

Dokrak and Pam were so adorable together though I wish we got more scenes from the side couple of Nene and Oat because there was so much unused potential there! Also Kawi was so precious. I read somewhere that Us is more a family drama rather than a romantic one and I wholeheartedly agree with that opinion. Whether it's Pam, Grandma Bua, and Titang or Orn, Nene, Kawi, and Dokrak (I'm so glad Khem didn't get a redemption arc because he didn't deserve one) or even the café crew from Art & Us, whom I dearly missed in the later episodes.

Here are my thoughts about the episodes as I was watching the drama.

  • Hyper Knife

    39. Hyper Knife

    Korean Drama - 2025, 8 episodes

    8.5

    COMPLETED [Apr 4 - Apr 9]

First I have to praise the sound effects because they are so nice (like cutting the cake in episode 2 or basically any scene when they do surgery), and the OST is bomb, I loved the French song.

Seok was wayyy more unhinged than I thought she would be, like she killed  two people in the first two eps (and then more and more). Also the strangulation scene? Top notch and I love how her first instinct is to just grab something and start choking someone from behind or just stab them.

Also I love all the visceral surgeries of the brain, all the blood, it felt so real. And the double surgery was so interesting!

I was so pissed at doctor Choi for killing the dogs but luckily it was revelead at the end that they are still alive, phew.

But yeah, I was enjoying it but it didn't quite capture my attention as much as it could (might be a me problem, idk.) And also how did the one man survive bleeding from his neck artery AND falling from the cliff? That felt so unrealistic.

But I have to appreciate all the platonic bonds, like Seok and Seo Yeongju were so great.

  • Date

    40. Date

    Chinese Movie - 2021

    8.5

    COMPLETED [Apr 11]

Beautiful and touching! I wish there were more movies and dramas with disabled characters.

  • When We Met

    41. When We Met

    Chinese Movie - 2025

    8.5

    COMPLETED [Apr 11]

Uncensored Chinese lesbian movie? Someone pinch me if I'm not dreaming! This was beautifully shot, I could go without all the drama with Qingqing's mother and Peng Yun's husband but it was necessary for the story.

I really liked how Peng Yun told Qingqing not to search for "symptoms of being a lesbian" as it's not a sickness. But from the one year skip, I really thought this movie would have a happy ending and it didn't. The quote "Sometimes I miss you, sometimes I don't even think about you" absolutely destroyed me.

That being said, please, don't keep your pet fish in circular bowls, get them enough water in the tank and some plants and pebbles and take care of them!

  • Routine to Rhythm

    42. Routine to Rhythm

    Thai Drama - 2024, 6 episodes

    8.0

    COMPLETED [Apr 11]

I'm sorry but that routine is awful even if someone is a workaholic.

I love Ray's short hair (please GL deities, bless us with more short-haired sapphics!) and Rinin looks like such a baddie, they are one of the hottest couple of H'our channel. That being said why are they censoring their cleavages in episode 3? Also who is responsible for episode 3 because the sound was horrendous. :/

I really like the running joke "Why are we at your house?" :D

And Ying was the sweetest angel.

  • Oh General! My General!

    43. Oh General! My General!

    Chinese Movie - 2024

    8.0

    COMPLETED [Apr 16]

Once again, very cute! The high-pitched voice of the first FL irked me a lot but I loved how cheeky her character was. The general was likeable as well, my favourite scene would probably be when she was teaching the other how to hold the sword.  And the ending was nice.

  • Love Tech

    44. Love Tech

    Korean Movie - 2021

    8.5

    COMPLETED [Apr 20]

Dang, this was sad and actually made me  feel emotional. I would never want to know when my relationship with someone ends... I would just delete the whole Destiny app. The timer showing just two minutes left made me sad.

But at the same time I loved the beginning of their relationship, the soft kisses, the piano music (which made the ending even more emotional!), and the whole vibe of it.

  • Something About Us

    45. Something About Us

    Korean Movie - 2016

    7.5

    COMPLETED [Apr 22]

"We can never go back to how things were before, can we?" That sentence really struck me. Otherwise, it was a pretty ordinary movie with nothing really standing out. At least it had a happy ending (sort of? like it is never specified whether the two FLs got together or not).

  • Otonari Complex

    46. Otonari Complex

    Japanese Drama - 2025, 8 episodes

    8.0

    COMPLETED [Apr 16 - Apr 26]

Okay this was cute and I liked and disliked it at the same time? Like the supporting characters were annoying but then I came to like them? I just wish there didn't need to be so many outside forces for the leads' romantic relationship to develop.

I wish we saw more of Makoto's cross-dressing... he spent like 80 % of the drama in his ordinary outfits. Also the reason why he started doing that was a bit... icky? Sweet at the same time but I feel like it didn't have the impact they wanted it to have. And for Akira too... Like she liked dressing "masculine" because the clothes were comfortable and her changing it felt more like she did it because society refused to accept her, not because she really wanted to (with the exception of the high heels she bought). It really felt like she started wearing the hairpin and the make-up because it's expected of girls going on dates to look like that.

And why did they have to use AI generated images (yuck!) instead of hiring real artists? :(

  • Kazoku no Kyori

    47. Kazoku no Kyori

    Japanese Movie - 2023

    9.0

    COMPLETED [Apr 30]

That was so cute and definitely a worthy sequel! It was shorter and had less story than Veils but it felt so authentic and realistic! My favourite part would definitely be Sayaka running around their apartment and frantically cleaning while Ayumi was staring into the fridge. Also how they chose matching outfits or tried to move the desk. :D

The ending was super open though so I hope that we will be getting a third movie in the future. :)
