my 10/10 dramas ranked

wow, just wow. this is one of the best dramas i've seen in a while. the story, the ost, the acting, all amazing. such complex characters as well. i'm writing this just after finishing the series (watched it weekly) and i'm honestly just speechless. such a beautiful and bittersweet story about youth, coming of age, and love -- highly recommend for everyone.  i think one of the reasons this drama hit extra hard for me is because of the central themes surrounding the transition from youth to adulthood, and how we often lose connection with those who we were friends with while we were younger in order to pursue our own goals. brilliant drama. remains my favorite of all time even years after release. 

i wow, honestly wow!!! what an amazing show. i never read the webtoon so idk how it compares but the show was absolutely brilliant. the acting by the main trio is phenomenal (we love you park jihoon), and the soundtrack and cinematography of the drama is a perfect match with the themes of the show.  complex characters & complex relationships (with some romance subtext on the low) that the show makes understandable and easy to follow. the writing is compelling, the pacing is good, and the plot in the second half of the show was so unexpected, shocking honestly (in a good way). anxiously awaiting season 2! 

this drama, THIS DRAMA ! literally so amazing in so many ways: so unique, so well made, and the acting is phenomenal. it's such a beautifully thought provoking drama about life and the relationships we have with other people.  the type of show that makes you sit and evaluate and appreciate the various relationships you have with family/friends, and make you realize just how beautiful life can be. made me cry more than any tv show/drama/movie ever, which is saying something! cannot recommend enough if you're looking for an emotional and inspiring watch.

i loved this drama so so so much!!!! a time travel drama done right. extremely engaging story, lovable characters, funny, romantic, emotional, nostalgic, it truly hits the mark for everything. acting is phenomenal, and the drama is shot so well! the silliness of the show and it's concept is a perfect balance with the more emotional themes it tackles. super inspiring as well!

it took me so long to finish but thats only because every time i would pick this drama back up something insane would happen in my personal life - looking forward to rewatching (without gaps this time) soon! 

this drama is excellent, its so well done and the characters are amazingly complex, as well as all of the relationships between each of them. the suspense this drama brought was literally insane, i was on the edge of my seat almost every episode. the additional balance of romance and action makes the show extremely compelling, and also ensures that it doesn't lean too much into one genre. fantastic! (the ending did piss me off but it does not take away from how great this show truly is) 

one of my favorite dramas of all time, i've rewatched multiple at this point times and still don't get tired of it. the characters, the story, the romance, the tension, the ost, are all magnificent. made me laugh, made me cry (a lot), and never gets old, a truly timeless classic. 

i fear this might be unpopular but i actually liked this season more than the first! the chemistry and tension between the leads is really good, and i also like seeing uk be dark and mysterious! same compliments as the first season + a bit more :) 

i love love love this show!!! it finally got me out of my slump of not getting invested into any dramas. the story is complex and all the elements play into each other so well -- it's dark & mysterious while also being fun & lighthearted! amazing acting, and a perfect blend of suspense & comedy throughout the show. all of the characters are also super compelling and the show spends a lot of time showing how complex they are throughout the season. definitely the best fantasy drama i've ever seen!!

i love love love lovely runner!! cute, fun, charismatic, and heartwarming!! fell in love with byeon wooseok as sunjae, and the overall cast was super likeable and great to watch. amazing ost, great story, phenomenal acting, and addicting chemistry! the balance of comedy, suspense, and romance that this drama achieved is also a rare feat these days (2024). it ensured i never got bored and none of the genres detracted from another.  cannot wait to rewatch in the future!

truly amazing. it kept me on my toes, made me laugh, made me cry,  and had me invested for months. i was satisfied every weekend after watching an episode, cannot express how much i enjoyed watching this drama over the past 13 weeks. the humor, the acting,  THE PLOT - the way each episode builds on top of the last is phenomenal. love love love, rewatched recently and is just as compelling/enjoyable as my first watch was !

not as strong as season 1 but i'm still giving her the flowers she deserves. looking at the show as separate from the webtoon, it's a worthy follow up to s1! the development of sieun's character is fantastic and park jihoon did a phenomenal job capturing the loss and grief (and also yearning) that sieun was going through with suho being in a coma. the other actors all did a phenomenal job as their characters as well! the cinematography and ost was amazing (as expected), but the pacing was fast. i do wish they spent more time developing the individual characters more (especially all the new ones) instead of trying to rush through the entire plot of the webtoon in one season. the deviations from the webtoon don't detract from the show, but i do wish some of the missing characters were present and that baekjin's story specifically was more reminiscent of the webtoon. i could yap for days since this is one of my favorite series, but overall an amazing followup to s1! looking forward to when we get s3 in 3 years !

do not hate me for liking the second season more but wow! a lot of similar elements to the first but the stakes feel even higher in the second season. brilliant games, brilliant acting, brilliant effects, brilliant plot! 

i am so sad i finished this drama. i wanted it to keep going forever. the acting is AMAZING, and i really enjoyed seeing yeo jingoo in a mystery drama. so many plot twists, amazing dialogue, complicated character relationships, amazing cinematography, great ost. overall an amazing mystery/crime drama that i cannot recommend enough !!

this drama is not for the weak; its gritty and at times tough to watch, but the acting in it is top tier and the story is compelling. i feel like it really balances tackling tough, hard to watch topics while mixing in some slight humor at the same time. a really thought provoking commentary. 

I LOVE THIS DRAMA ! loveable characters, strong-realistic relationship, uplifting and heart wrenching at the same time. truly a wonderful drama, amazing cinematography and an amazing ost to boot

i love this show, alice in borderland is honestly what all the other death-filled shows wish they could be like. interesting premise, high stakes both in and outside of games, good characters, good plot twists, it has everything.  cannot recommend season 1 & 2 enough  !! 

i really enjoyed watching this drama. the plot is amazing, the acting is amazing, the ost is great, and its also wonderfully directed! such a good story, i really enjoyed seeing the relationship between the two main characters develop, and seeing the relationships with the other residents! amazing zombie show who's main focus wasn't even the zombies, rather the actions of the characters in the show
