In order of my favs with some commentary :)

1. 1 Litre no Namida
Japanese Drama - 2005, 11 episodes
Where do I even begin. This drama made me cry 1 litre of tears... As soon as they hit me with that "based on a true story" at the end I cried even more. Why do this to meeeee... this is literally not fair :((((

2. Kazoku Game
Japanese Drama - 2013, 10 episodes
I literally said a few days ago after seeing Sho playing a psycho role in a special, that I needed to see him in more crazy roles.... with this drama I've been blessed. This drama was literally a mindfuck LOL. I couldn't pin point what was real emotions and fake ones. Not only was this family being psychologically tortured... but I felt like I was experiencing it too... Damn did Sho deliver... That cutscene at the end tho... iineeee (いいね). This drama is really a 10/10 .. like watch it immediately. It's so different from what I thought it would be. Every ep was a rollercoaster. Would've loved a season 2 maybe with a new family? But by the looks of the ending... he maybe is living as his true self?? Idk ... imma need to ponder on that thought... Iconic soundtrack def would love to rewatch at some point to catch maybe some foreshadowing!

3. Soredemo, Ikite Yuku
Japanese Drama - 2011, 11 episodes
1 word to describe this one... depression. The acting in this drama is really good. The story is mad unfortunate and sad tho. I felt bad for both families involved and very empty inside after every episode.

Japanese Drama - 2002, 9 episodes
-
5. Ikebukuro West Gate Park
Japanese Drama - 2000, 11 episodes
10/10 drama for me. So nostalgic and the OST is *chefs kiss*.. I need this on DVD immediately ... Favorite comfort drama...

6. Freeter, Ie o Kau.
Japanese Drama - 2010, 10 episodes
I will say this drama surprised me. I saw comments saying that this is a slow burner drama... but I think whoever said that was on drugs cause shit hits the fan starting in the first ep LOL. Seiji in a way reminds me of my brother....... unemployed activities... and his dad lowkey reminds me of my dad, yelling at my brother to get a damn job ... although less angry 24/7. This is a really encouraging and in a way a realistic drama. Sometimes life just throws these curveballs when you are doing your best and it sucks ass LOL. I will say though that Seiji matures a lot and becomes mentally strong in a way... cause lowkey if I was him.. I would jump off a damn bridge. Like the end of ep 9 actually made me cry. (⋟﹏⋞) Mad heartbreaking... I expected him to give the money up but it still hurts when you think about all the hard work he put into getting that. Literally every time Seiji got a chance it was ruined by something out of his control... and still somehow got blamed ;( I'm safisfed with the ending, and lowkey wouldn't mind rewatching. Oh and also FUCK THAT NEIGHBOR... I don't give a rat's ass if she had even a bit of remorse.. FUCK YOU╭∩╮( ͡° ل͟ ͡° )╭∩╮ LOLLLL ... Oh and one more thing... that Arashi ending theme (✿ ♡‿♡) I love hatenai soraaaaaaaaaaaaa ... goodass choice to make that an ending song for this. Okay rant over now thanks <3

7. Yoiko no Mikata
Japanese Drama - 2003, 9 episodes
I loved this drama a lot.. it's just so carefree and made me reminiscence to the times when I was a child. The theme song omg in a way so nostalgic! I love arashi they never disappoint. And how could I forget?? The reason I watched this drama in this first place, Sho! He honestly is really good in this drama. Especially for this being his first lead role drama, I didn't see "Sho", I saw the character instead and I think he did a really good job of bringing the world of male caretakers/preschool teachers to light. 10/10 lowkey wanna rewatch it alot and buy the dvd even tho it has no subs with it LOL. And just wait till you get to that ending yall... OUGH... my heart strings... not me bawling. I saw that this drama didn't necessary do that good in terms of ratings in Japan and that's the reason for the last ep being a hour and a half special which is unfortunate :( but I def recommend this drama.. it worth the watch.. very underrated!
**SPOILER BELOW!!!**
I have to say ep 6 was my fav ep... even tho it was emotional it let us know that Taiyo is human and not everyday is sunshine and rainbows, but somehow caretakers/preschool teachers do without letting children see the other side of them.

8. Seija no Koushin
Japanese Drama - 1998, 11 episodes
My fucking heart HURRTTSSSS :((( As I'm writing this I'm crying... like don't let that intro fool you y'all.. I made that horrible mistake LOL. Anyway this drama was heartwarming and like really depressing tbh but it is worth a watch. I will NOT be rewatching because I'll yell at my screen again and cry so no thanks :D
**SPOILER BELOW!!!**
At the end I let out the biggest sigh of my life. Last episode is emotional baggage and Ren and Arisu were fucked over. FUCK THE MANAGER. I don't care if he had a change of heart at the end none of that justifies anything. Also IM SO GLAD, Towa survived. We need to give Rin the credit she deserves tbh. Beautiful eyes ;-;

9. The Quiz Show Season 2
Japanese Drama - 2009, 10 episodes
So first I wanna start by saying I didn't watch the first season cause of reviews saying it was basically the same thing. So I decided on just watching the season with actors I know and like. I hope that Sho and Yu got their damn awards for these performances cause holy shit... I was on the edge of my seat all 10 eps. And especially that last ep... I got a little emotional LOL. I had no idea what to believe at times, but I did have this feeling from the beginning that SPOLIERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Kamiyama was innocent... like his true self was so slipping through.10/10 must watch!! Underrated I think. -

Better than first season. Binged it in about 2 days which is kinda rare for me and medical dramas. :))
-
15. Last Friends
Japanese Drama - 2008, 11 episodes
By the end of this drama all I thought was .... this is a mess ... in a kind of good way tho. The story was good, but choices that were made by characters just made me pissed off lol. Love the opening song to this one .. can never go wrong with Utada Hikaru :))
-
16. Ashita, Mama ga Inai

Little wholesome drama with great acting from the child actors. My fav character was Locker... didn't say a word for almost the whole drama but made me feel for him.

Honestly, I love this season of the show a lot. It’s just a nice feel good drama! It has a lot of humorous moments, iconic lines, and tearjerker moments. Def a drama to rewatch on sad days for encouragement *exhales*
