Bromance Series That Should Have Been BL ?

Some shows give us intense emotional bonds, lingering gazes, and deep connections between two male leads—but stop just short of becoming an actual BL. These series are filled with undeniable chemistry, strong loyalty, and moments that feel like romance, leaving fans wishing for just one step further. Whether due to censorship, creative choices, or simply being labeled as “bromance,” these shows could have been incredible BL series.

From historical dramas with soulmates bound by fate to modern-day thrillers with partners who would do anything for each other, these are the bromance series that should have been BL—but weren’t 😭💔

100% the first thought that came to mind was THE DEVIL JUDGE.

This is so easy for me because it’s practically a BL already given the insane amount of sexual tension and chemistry between the leads: The Devil Judge. It’s already an edge of your seat, jaw dropping thriller with brilliant acting, but had they gone full on queer it would have been one of my top three BLs.
