Mega Asshole to everyone else but actually super sweet to the FL kinda ML. He has a few scary moments (i dig) but overall its a pretty cute vanilla sci fi drama with more plot than romance. He does basically stalk the FL for a few episodes and is very volatile in the way he acts when he doesn't get what he wants so there's that. I don't doubt that he'd become a psychopath if the FL didn't want him

Clingy and "I'll follow you to the ends of the earth" kinda male lead, more like relentless pursuit than yandere tbh, but he is a scheming conniving bastard who plots and tricks his darling into staying with him (which we love to see)

Not much of a yandere but again a scheming conniving shrew who plot, across two lifetimes, to keep the fl by his side. He's portrayed to be a weak but smart scholar who has a secret obsession with his darling but he isnt really toxic or volatile apart from giving her a forced kiss once in a while. He's not as scheming or manipulative as the ML from generation to generation imo hence why the 5.8 (that ml pulled off so many schemes with a pouty face) whereas this ml schemes but his schemes (to get the fl) dont actually produce much outcomes because of being derailed by politics

The ML tries to confine control and manipulate the fl a few times and also schemes and plots to keep the fl but its mostly consensual and a bit of rough play. The plot however is truly good and pulls you in so deep that you'll keep thinking about it all the time. They also are like reluctant allies first who are on an equal footing and understand each other like no one else so it takes the edge off a lot.

Super toxic and obsessive relationship over multiple lifetimes. Simply amazing. I think this is the limit of how toxic of a a couple that can be portrayed accurately in media made for a wide audience (by this i mean the novel is like 20 times worse). It's really angsty and fun, and the leads truly go from hating each other with a burning passion to having some undeniable feelings
