BL with Rape, Sexual Assault and Harassment

I’ve watched a lot of these, but that doesn’t mean I condone sexual violence. This selection will include shows or movies with scenes (real or implied) of non-consensual sex. Assault is defined as any unwanted physical contact, such as kissing, touching, or groping, inflicted on someone without their explicit consent. This includes, but is not limited to, kissing someone while they are incapacitated (by alcohol or drugs), blackmailing someone for sex, stalking, and persistent harassment.

Starting Feb 2023, Added notes below each title: Assault level 1 to 10 with 1 being least graphic (e.g. dubcon, implied) to 10 being the most graphic (e.g. extreme sexual violence). Examples of scenes for justification for above. (May contain spoilers). Additional TW (Trigger warnings) if any.

How is the level of assault determined?

- The perpetrator’s intent, e.g. whether it is pre-meditated, repetitive behavior, or a spur of the moment/one-off

- The victim’s mentality, for instance, if they are traumatized or forgave the perpetrator easily.

- How the drama handles the topic, for example, whether it uses rape as a plot device to initiate a romantic relationship; whether the assault is overlooked and the perpetrator did not receive deserved punishment; whether it shows clearly that sexual assault is wrong

- Number of major or minor instances, e.g. whether it is a perpetual theme or just a small section in the drama

Please note that levels do not equate to seriousness of rape/assault, just like how there are different charges for 1st degree murder, 2nd degree murder and manslaughter. All scoring is subjective and does not intend to degrade or trivialize the impact of sexual assault/rape on the victims.

This list is not meant to be a deterrent to watch the titles included, but more for awareness. A viewer may disregard the lowest levels, depending on their tolerance, but I mostly include them because of additional trigger warnings, such as other types of abuse or violence.
