➺ My Favorite Films ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
A growing list of my personal 10/10s in no particular order.
Simply iconic. A classic in my eyes. Incredibly memorable and left a strong impression on me. Captured my heart and soul regardless of its flaws, however many and obvious they may be. I connected with it in a deep way or it lives rent-free inside my head. May have altered my life and my brain chemistry forever.
The descriptions are still a work-in-progress.

1. The Taste of Tea
Japanese Movie - 2004

2. Oasis
Korean Movie - 2002
Oasis is daring, tragic, and devastatingly beautiful. It is a throbbing and poignant look into how society alienates those who don't fit the standard of normalcy.
The impact this film has on me is insane, it gripped my entire being and refused to let go. It is a deeply challenging, thought-provoking, and emotionally complex film that feels rewarding every time I peel its layers and reflect on it. Oasis is a harrowing mirror to the bleak sides of the human condition that greatly challenged my empathy.

3. Confessions
Japanese Movie - 2010
Confessions is somber but dreamy, slow but chaotic, twisted but beautiful. It is a gripping tale of vengeance, and the nuances of justice and evil. Everyone is evil and fucked up to the point that it comes across in an over-the-top, almost comical way— but it just somehow works. There were just zero dull moments in this film, and the soundtrack is just peak.
The explosion sequence and the iconic line stated in the end really cemented this film as an incredibly memorable one for me.

4. Last Life in the Universe
Thai Movie - 2003
"This is bliss."
Last Life in the Universe taught me that sometimes, all it takes is a simple but genuine connection that makes one open themselves up to life again. Finishing this film is akin to waking up from a dream that you wish is real, or reaching for a memory that is blurred beyond remembrance.

5. Swing Girls
