chemistry is chemistry-ing
just a list of the couples in my favorite series where I could feel the chemistry attacking me from the couch
PSA: I tried to keep everything spoiler-free below, but I went into it assuming that you know who the couples in a given series are.

1. My Magic Prophecy
Thai Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
JimmySea (ThapIn) -- my first drama with this couple, and I’m blown away. They hold so much depth and emotions behind their eyes. So honest and soft - perfect for their characters’ journeys with emotional and physical intimacy. I could talk for hours about how much I adore these two. There's something so believably intimate about them. After watching their other shows, I think this one is my favorite start-to-finish series. They really stuck the landing with this one for me. When you pair the right script with JimmySea, you get magic (pun intended), I have found myself rewatching this one quite often. Their acting continues to get better and better and their chemistry remains unmatched.
This is such a beautifully raw series about grief and healing. Jimmy and Sea excelled at showcasing their characters' relationship built on trust, communication, and empathy. Thap and In are equals who support and care for each other through all their hardships, no matter how small they may be. Jimmy and Sea were perfect for these roles.
Also, congrats on the MMP team for wining "BL Series of the Year 2025"!!! We are all beyond proud of you!

2. Last Twilight
Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
JimmySea (MhokDay) -- Not much else I can say about JimmySea that wasn't already said. I watched tis one after Vice Versa (their first series) and I could see a large increase in their acting and their chemistry (which is saying something because they were already phenomenal). I fell like P'Aof brings so much emotion out of actors and it feels like he helped unlock something in Jimmy and Sea's partnership.
Jimmy's ability to show every one of Mhok's thoughts through his facial expressions was what really sold it for me. This show also had me questioning if Sea was really blind haha.
MarkNamtan (NightPhojai) -- Honestly, I loved this side couple! Bothe characters are strong/semi-stoic characters that were dealing with heavy internal struggles. I was surprised by their natural chemistry and adored their story. I would have easily watched a series just about them.

3. Bad Buddy
Thai Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
OhmNanon (PatPranPat) -- One of my first BL series and a "must-watch" for every new BL fan. I could write a 10 page paper on these two, their acting abilities, and their insane level of natural chemistry. Both Ohm and Nanon add immense depth to their characters and their deeply-rooted intergenerational trauma of their families. There's so much yearning and desire between Pat and Pran despite their familial history. All of which builds up to what is probably the best kiss in BL history. I think about the emotional weight of that kiss more than I should, honestly. And even after they get together, their chemistry remains.
It's a shame that toxic fans ruined their partnership because they could have moved mountains whether as a BL couple or just as friends in the industry.

4. Me and Thee
Thai Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
PondPhuwin (TheePeach) -- I was first introduced to this pair from Never Let Me Go. Both Pond and Phuwin feel so perfect and comfortable in these roles: Thee - a chaotic out-of-touch romantic and Peach - a kind, utterly normal guy with a guarded heart, both lonely in their own ways. Even with a hilarious screenplay, Pond and Phuwin acted their asses off. I'm so incredibly impressed with how much they've improved since NLMG and it only adds to their chemistry. Maybe it's because they are finally acting in roles that serve their strengths? I'm not sure, but I've rewatched this series several times now just because of them.
*???*Est (RomeMok or MokRome?) -- I won't say who plays Rome for EP. 4 SPOILER reasons, just in case. If you know, you know. With how few scenes we get of them, they are so refreshing. Their dynamic is so interesting to watch. I would love a spin-off series with just them because they both fell right at home in their characters.

5. Hidden Agenda
Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
JoongDunk (JokeZo) -- I just recently watched this one after watching all of JoongDunk’s other projects and woah… their chemistry is so natural, I wouldn’t be surprised if the director let them do whatever comes to them because I often felt they were acting like a real couple. There were so many little intimate touches and soft looks - I thought their chemistry was great in Star in My Mind and then I watched this one haha.
AouBoom (JengPok) -- I have also seen these two in other projects and they never fail to deliver. SIDE NOTE: I didn’t realize until later that this is Aou and Boom’s first role as a couple?? AMAZING. They were electric from day one.

6. Ingredients
Thai Special - 2020, 21 episodes
JeffGameplay (WinTops) -- Decided to give this mini-series a shot and ended up binge-watching the whole thing in one night. I don't know if I've ever seen a pairing with THIS much natural chemistry. Maybe it was the low-budget and production that paved the way for the actors to lean into their natural acting abilities. I wouldn't be surprised if they improvised many of their scenes. Honestly, I'm fascinated by this gem of a show - no added drama, accurate communication, and a realistic bittersweet ending. All this and the ending still had me sobbing. I wish these two had more projects together because they would be magical.

7. ThamePo Heart That Skips a Beat
Thai Drama - 2024, 13 episodes
WilliamEst (ThamePo) -- These characters are so soft with each other, it makes me cry. The fact this is also their first role together and William's first acting role ever is wild to me. They just radiate off each other's energy. Can't wait to see more of them in the future.
-
8. Peaceful Property
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
TayNew (Peach + Home) -- Okay so this was my FIRST intro to this duo and it was in a "non-BL" show. However, I had NO idea they were a couple in other shows while watching, and I was practically slapped through the screen by their chemistry. They are both incredible actors and were able to play up the comedic moments while also balancing the emotional moments (god I had some good cries). They both were so over the top in the best way one moment and then incredibly believable and raw the next moment.
-
9. Wandee Goodday
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
GreatInn (YoryakWandee) -- my intro to these two. They had me kicking my feet, blushing with romance, crying with the trauma, and dropping my jaw from NC scenes. I love the “power bottom” energy that comes from Inn’s subtle acting. They are both so playful but act the emotional stuff just as well - it never felt forced. I wish the writing allowed for more deep dives into the Dee’s trauma more so he could get some comforting from Yoryak, but Great killed his role of Yoryak.
ThorFluke (OyeCher) -- side couple mention! Their emotional chemistry was so good - It could be because of their stellar acting but honestly I’d love a spin off of those two. I could feel their energy through the screen, and I love that they played an established couple that lasted the series. They made the characters really feel like they had layers of history behind them.
-
10. The Eclipse
Thai Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
FirstKhao (AkkAyan or AyanAkk?) -- the ultimate pretty criers! These two feel like they’ve know each other for multiple lifetimes. The acting is insane and the vulnerability they can portray with simple glances is wild. I could honestly watch an entire series where they only communicate with their eyes and know exactly what they’re feeling.
-
11. Cherry Magic
Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
TayNew (KaranAchi) -- I watched this after the chemistry I felt between them in Peaceful Property and I was blown away by how easily Tay and New transform into completely different characters but keep the undeniable chemistry alive. Gah, their subtle face acting is insane and they bring so much heart to comedic characters.
JuniorMark (JintaMin) -- Believe it or not, this was my first introduction to JuniorMark. Jinta's over-the-top personality had me laughing but I was consistently surprised by Junior's subtle and emotionally honest moments with Mark's character. This definitely put me on the JuniorMark train.
-
12. Goddess Bless You from Death
Thai Drama - 2025, 13 episodes
PoohPavel (ThupSingha) -- I watched Pitbabe before this series and liked Pavel's acting but wasn't completely sold on Pooh's (which could have easily been the writing for the character, not his acting ability). However, this series showed me how wonderful PoohPavel's acting can be. I think they play green-flag "soft for each other" characters so naturally. They're characters are deep layered and I honestly think no one could have portrayed this relationship so effectively as the unconventional pairing that they are. I'm always a sucker for good eye-acting, and they both really stepped up their game with this one. Not to mention, the award for "best yearning eyes" goes to Pavel.
MichaelTopTen (SeyDarin) -- I hadn't watched Pitbabe 2, so this pairing was new-ish to me. I LOVE them. I can definitely feel their chemistry (which is also present between the actors) and am excited to see more of them.
-
13. Manner of Death
Thai Drama - 2020, 14 episodes
MaxTul (TanBun) -- One of my first BL's and I loved learning how revolutionary MaxTul was for the BL industry because of their insane chemistry. And trust me, I felt it! They are so good at feeding off each other's energy and I loved them in this dramatic action/mystery thriller.
Honorable mention : MaxTulGreat (TanBun+Inspector M) -- okay, I can't be the only one that felt the tension between these three. Hahaha I wouldn't be mad at it. TanBun, y'all need a third?
-
14. Dare You to Death
Thai Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
JoongDunk (JadeKarmin or KarminJade?)
-
15. Not Me
Thai Drama - 2021, 14 episodes
OffGun (SeanWhite)
FirstGawin (YokDan)
-
16. Khemjira
Thai Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
KengNamping (PeemKhem) -- there is something so intimate about their chemistry? I don't know how to explain it, but I often felt like I was interrupting when they were simply looking at each other. And their NC scenes, specifically the first one? - I actually cried. Like, what?! I'm curious to see them in different roles because right now I can't tell if the soft-ness that radiates from them is filtered through their character's role or through the actors themselves. I'd love to see what tones their chemistry can take depending on their roles or screenplays.
TleFirstOne (ChanJet)

17. Head 2 Head
Thai Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
SeaKeen (JeromeJinn) -- my first show with SeaKeen and led me to watch their other projects. I had such a blast with these two's banter-turned romance. They did such a great job at playing bickering rivals with and undertone of "could this be more?". Sea portrayed J's inner conflict with such raw intensity while simultaneously being head-over-heals for Jinn so well. And then add in Keen, whose character had to be both guarded due to past trauma and concerned for his current partner's mental health, all while also being head-over-heals in love as well.

18. Perfect 10 Liners
Thai Drama - 2024, 24 episodes
JuniorMark (FaifaWine)
PerthSanta (YothaGun)
AouBoom (KlaoWarit)
-
19. We Are
Thai Drama - 2024, 16 episodes
PondPhuwin (PhumPeem)
AouBoom (KhaofangTan)

20. 3 Will Be Free
Thai Drama - 2019, 10 episodes
MildJossTay (MiwNeoShin)
GunsmileJennie (TurMae)
-
21. Kidnap
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
OhmLeng (MinQ) -- I loved these two together and despise the toxic fans that pushed them apart before they could do more series together. We all knew Ohm could act, but him and Leng together was so good. Even more so because this was Leng's first major role. I was genuinely impressed by their chemistry and couldn't stop myself from binge-watching.
-
22. See Your Love
Taiwanese Drama - 2024, 13 episodes
JinRaiden (Shao Peng/Zi Xiang) -- my first Japanese BL and holy cow I was not disappointed. The chemistry is off the charts with these two. Their acting is also so soft and cute with each other.
-
23. My Golden Blood
Thai Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
JossGawin (MarkTong) -- Say what you want about this series, but you can't deny these two's chemistry. Holy hell, I found myself covering my face with pillow countless times to give them privacy haha. And then I found out from behind the scenes that the intimate scenes were basically never scripted? Like, WHAT?!
-
24. Knock Out
Thai Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
GunnerNice (ThanKeen)
GuideDech (IttMawin) -- This is the first time I've ever seen this couple and I immediately was obsessed. They felt so natural with their physical intimacy and small gestures. Not to mention their acting was phenomenal. I wish they had more projects together.
-
25. Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist
Thai Drama - 2025, 11 episodes
MarkOhm (JaySant)
-
26. Dangerous Romance
Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
PerthChimon (KangSailom)
MarcPawin (GuyMawin)
PepperPapang (NameSaifah)
-
27. F4 Thailand: Boys over Flowers
Thai Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
BrightTu (ThymeGorya)
-
28. High School Frenemy
Thai Drama - 2024, 16 episodes
SkyNani (SaintShin) -- I'm definitely late to the game on watching this series but woah was it so good (and sooooo gay haha). The chemistry between Sky and Nani is insane - for most series, BL or not, I feel like the chemistry between leads has to be built up. Here, we feel it immediately, with all the years of complicated history they have together. I can't wait for all their new projects -- they're going to kill it for sure.
-
29. MuTeLuv: Love Me if You Swear
Thai Drama - 2026, 4 episodes
SurfJava (TumOh) -- I thought their chemistry was great in Head 2 Head but, holy cow, it was so natural and electric in this. Especially in the last episode - their casual intimacy and playful kisses had me in a chokehold.
