Makjang Drama Recommendations

I have been watching Korean dramas since 2019, and have always preferred your standard 16 episode dramas with just a single (Hospital Playlist being the exception), 12 episodes were even better!

But recently I have began to venture into long running family/ makjang dramas and have come to the conclusion that I really enjoy them! I find them to be more meaning full and have the slow burn romance element that I enjoy very much.

Listed below are some of the family dramas that I have enjoyed so far and would like to recommend in case you enjoy such a genre as well :)

PS* Definitely not the end of this list, will edit as I watch and complete more dramas. Also open to recommendations :)

3. Bread, Love and Dreams

Although not your average 50 episode drama, still considered a makjang drama. And its a good one, definitely recommend it.
4. Beautiful Love, Wonderful Life

Not a bad one, really enjoyed Seol In Ah's performance here. I would probably recommend this one is someone asked me for a good family drama.
5. Be Strong Geum Soon

Korean Drama - 2005, 163 episodes

This one was my first makjang drama, and while the story is something we have all seen too many times, I still thought it was done pretty well and really liked it. But might not recommend this one off the top of my head.
6. Homemade Love Story

This one was really sweet! Would definitely recommend it.
7. Never Twice

8. My Golden Life

A must watch meaningful family drama. And I do agree with the reviews that the chemistry between the 2 lead couples are a bit off, but nonetheless, its a beautiful drama.
9. Mom Has an Affair

Lol, not a bad one, but will not recommend it. It was alright at best.
10. Marry Me Now?

Korean Drama - 2018, 50 episodes

A good watch. It focuses on on multiple couples and their struggles to be together. Will only recommend it if you have A LOT of time on your hand.
11. Young Lady and Gentleman

Korean Drama - 2021, 52 episodes

Really enjoying the first 15 episodes.
