I'm not saying they're all good, only that I liked them

The ones I enjoyed the most, very loosely ranked. These are all romances. Do not trust my star ratings. Will update as I recall the many, many romcoms I've watched over the last 14 years lmao

  • Marry My Husband: Japan

    1. Marry My Husband: Japan

    Japanese Drama - 2025, 10 episodes

    10

I do honestly think this is the best drama on this list and that it blows the Korean version out of the water. If you know someone new to dramas (or at least J-dramas) who isn't sure where to start, I'd honestly show them this one.

  • Hana-Kimi

    2. Hana-Kimi

    Japanese Drama - 2007, 12 episodes

    10

Marry My Husband Japan is #1 for being the best on this list, but Hana Kimi is #2 for holding a special place in my heart. The first drama I ever watched; back in like 2012. I can't really vouch for it as a romance, but it's for sure funny and it always makes me smile!!

  • Le Coup de Foudre

    3. Le Coup de Foudre

    Chinese Drama - 2019, 35 episodes

I'm someone who struggles to really get into a lot of C-dramas, but I absolutely adore this one. If you've been on the fence about C-dramas or haven't loved the ones you've tried, absolutely give this a shot!! Very down to earth, lots of pining and yearning.

  • Suspicious Partner

    4. Suspicious Partner

    Korean Drama - 2017, 40 episodes

Ji Changwook might play basically the same guy in almost every drama I've seen him in, but unfortunately that guy is incredibly entertaining to watch

  • Idol I

    5. Idol I

    Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes

    8.5

The chokehold this had on me while it was airing needs to be studied. I can see this being fairly hit or miss for a lot of people, but if you've even dipped a toe into idol culture or even just fandom culture in general, I'd for sure give it a chance

  • Lovely Runner

    6. Lovely Runner

    Korean Drama - 2024, 16 episodes

    10

Instant classic I fear. There's nothing to even say it's just objectively very good

  • My Royal Nemesis

    7. My Royal Nemesis

    Korean Drama - 2026, 14 episodes

Delightfully Wattpad while still feeling sincere. The most devastatingly whipped male lead we've had in a while and I do mean this as an entirely positive thing

  • High School King of Savvy

    8. High School King of Savvy

    Korean Drama - 2014, 17 episodes

Most likely could not have been made today. The age gap here for sure raises an eyebrow and there's some moments here and there that would not have flown in the West. That being said, it is unfortunately quite a lot of fun and I've watched it twice lol

  • An Incurable Case of Love

    9. An Incurable Case of Love

    Japanese Drama - 2020, 10 episodes

I'm a bit biased towards anything Satoh Takeru is in. If you liked him in Marry My Husband Japan, you will like him in this

  • When the Phone Rings

    10. When the Phone Rings

    Korean Drama - 2024, 12 episodes

Be ready for the last couple of episodes to fumble the bag a bit, but honestly, the journey there is so insane it kind of makes up for it imo. If My Royal Nemesis is delightfully Wattpad, When the Phone Rings is Wattpad to a fault - but that can be fun too!!

  • You're My Pet

    11. You're My Pet

    Japanese Drama - 2003, 10 episodes

I'm putting the 2003 version here because I tend to enjoy "older" dramas, but having watched both 2003 and 2017 at the same time a few months back, I honestly can't remember which one I preferred LMAO. If I ever get around to rewatching I'll update

  • Touch Your Heart

    12. Touch Your Heart

    Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes

Tooth rotting fluff!! There are stakes, but 90% of the show is shy people with crushes.
