    1. Healer

    Korean Drama - 2014, 20 episodes

    9.5

Loved this the first time I watched it. All the characters, including the side characters, add interest to the drama. I'm always a fan of Ji Chang Wook, although Park Min Young is not my favorite. It was one of the first dramas I watched. I started watching it a second time and haven't finished it yet, but upon this second watch, I may decrease my rating a bit now that I have many more dramas under my belt.

  • The Crown Princess

    2. The Crown Princess

    Thai Drama - 2018, 12 episodes

    9.0

This was fantastic! The chemistry was intense even though the skinship was very little. I binge watched it and it kept me guessing the entire show. Gorgeous scenery and both leads were absolutely beautiful.

  • Red Swan

    3. Red Swan

    Korean Drama - 2024, 10 episodes

    8.5

Although others were upset by the open ending, I didn't mind it even though I usually hate them. I thought it made sense in the flow of the story. I really enjoyed the acting in this one; the ML was fantastic. Chemistry was palpable.

  • Blood Free

    4. Blood Free

    Korean Drama - 2024, 10 episodes

    8.5

Started out fantastic--a super interesting look at a possible future in organ donation and technology. The last half of the series was less fantastic, although still worth watching.

  • My Love from the Star

    5. My Love from the Star

    Korean Drama - 2013, 21 episodes

    8.5

Not technically a "bodyguard" trope; however, he spends a lot of the drama pretending to be her bodyguard and does actually protect her often.

  • Boku to Star no 99 Nichi

    6. Boku to Star no 99 Nichi

    Japanese Drama - 2011, 10 episodes

    8.5

A fan Japanese drama. The male lead was endearing.

  • Tempest

    7. Tempest

    Korean Drama - 2025, 9 episodes

    8.0

Amazing acting and could have been fantastic. It started out strong, but lost its luster halfway through. Still a strong drama worth watching.

  • The K2

    8. The K2

    Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes

    7.5

I had saved watching this one for a long time because Ji Chang Wook is my favorite Kdrama actor and wanted to savor it. I had high hopes based on the reviews. It was quite disappointing, mostly in the plot. The FL spent the vast majority of the drama crying and as a weak victim. It got tiring and I wasn't ever quite sure what the ML saw in her. The chemistry was surprisingly lacking from two normally strong actors.

  • Triad Princess

    9. Triad Princess

    Taiwanese Drama - 2019, 6 episodes

    6.0

Not sure how or why I managed to finish this—or why I rated it a 6. I can't remember but it must have had some redeeming qualities. I think I liked both the leads.
