My Favourite Actors
I'm more of a stageplay and 2.5d fan than a drama fan, but often my favs go ahead and do dramas anyway, so here's my boys.

Kubota Hidetoshi
Japanese
My #1, he's in a very eclectic collection of movies, but I love every single one for his performance alone.
Valentine Blue remains my favourite work that he's done, a lovely, cosy show from 2020 about grief and community, where he plays a kind but kind of odd bartender. I also loved his work in Tenimyu as Niou and Morimyu as Albert.
I really liked his work in the Gewalt movies - perhaps they weren't masterpieces, but his acting certainly was. The commitment to the expressions and the physical comedy was unrivalled, and I truly believed in the character he was trying to sell.

Suzuki Shogo
Japanese
This man utterly fascinates me, and he's truly captivating to watch as a performer.
I loved his work in Morimyu as William first - he has an absolutely stunning singing voice, and the things he does there are wonderful to watch. I later followed his career to Cocoa Otoko, which I really enjoyed watching, chaos that they are.
Miss Boys is hands down one of my favourite movies, and if you haven't watched it Go Do That. His work as Kaneko Shun is so special to me and I love what he did with that character.
